      I’m imagining how someone in the future sees the comment and reminds you. I suppose that 4 year difference isn’t long enough for you to get a job

      @@beinghimself Thank you for commenting! Though I don't have a job yet as you said, but I managed to secure a scholarship after graduating, and I'm now doing my first year of post-graduate.
      I totally forgot about this comment, I'll go donate to them with some of my scholarship stipend now!
      Thank you once again!

    Brilliant lecture as always, AK! I have a question; in your previous lecture on: Metabolism of very low-density lipoproteins, you mentioned that HDL gives two apo proteins namely AopC2 and ApoE before the nascent VLDL become mature. I'd love to understand where the HDL acquires these Aop's. Thanks for all you do, I appreciate you :)

    • @AKLECTURES
      @AKLECTURES  Před 5 lety +6

      Great question! A good chunk of serum Apo CII and E are generated in the liver and it ends up in the HDL particles in the same way that Apo A-I does!

    Why HDL estrify cholesterol.. what is the aim of doing that ??
    And why does HDL exchange TG with cholesterol with LDL,, VLDL ??!

    • @harishvyas4877
      @harishvyas4877 Před 2 lety

      Esterification is needed To move cholesterol to the core of HDL in form of cholesterol esters
