Waveform Helix Parameters - Helix Diameter
The Helix Diameter parameter has been added to the Cutter Movements dialog box to ensure correct management of pocket machining. This has been implemented to avoid the possibility of damaging the cutter when a helix diameter whose diameter is too small with respect to cutter dimensions was employed.
The non-cutting diameter of the cutter must be smaller than the helix diameter.
User defined values must be set to between 0.2 and 0.8 of the tool diameter.
Enabling the Auto option sets the value to the tool diameter x 0.8.
Having a smaller Helix Diameter allows small pockets to be machined.
