I think the biggest problem these vehicles have (we have the Discovery 3 HSE from '05) is that when you don't use them for a few days they are still using power from the battery while they are sat. While you can disconnect the battery while not in use it's not ideal as you need to reset stuff. And if you use it reasonably regular but don't go far you never really charge the battery properly. Best fix I've found is a simple trickle-charge solar panel designed to plug into the OBD port, you just need to remember to unplug it before you switch on. With the battery fully charged we get a lot less electrical gremlins in the car, without some means of trickle charging when not used much they're more trouble than they're worth. If you're doing long runs on a regular basis you should have a lot less trouble, they seem to like motorways/highways in spite of having all the aerodynamic charm of a breezeblock. 😁
That lid your wires got trapped under? Could you not just take a Dremel and make a groove for the wires to sit in? Simple fix I know, but it would save it happening again...
I didn't even know the backseat lifted so you can get at the sending until, I just bought a 05 Tonga green HSE here in Canada for 500$, the body is in good shape and 240k kms, it won't move in drive though
I just ordered the same obd reader. I hope it fixes my issue too. I have no lights at the cluster where you can lower or raise the range rover. I've tried out everything I hope this works!
Michael Teel it will work when you get it what you do is hit diagnostics Then put the year of your Rover and then scroll down to manual hit enter then look for air suspension then you can read the fault code to see what it is... once you see what caused it you can clear the code and lights should come back on... let me know how it goes

@@ThomasStudios17 Had to drive mine home on the bump stops. I found in mine that the relay on my 06 Land Rover Range Rover SC was the fault. I took the plastic cap off the relay located in the rear cargo area behind the passenger side cover on the right side of the fuse panel about mid way up, plugged it back in and fired the engine up, closed the door, and ran around to the back and watched the relay activate for a second. Michelle Abke if there is no fault codes for the height I would check your height sensor bracket. Its what your sensor is attached to in the front it will be attached to the frame some times they get bent and one side will be lower then the other side. It could be the bracket or just a bad sensor
DeadlyColt45 you need to buy the icarsoft obd2 scanner and reset the air suspension plus it will tell you what caused the fault code...link is in the description
Any electrical problems on Range Rovers usally is down to low batteria voltage. You MUST ALWAYS keep the battery really well charged. The ECM's can throw up any silly fault anywhere anytime with these cars.
UnBiased Consumer the white vents came with the truck but you can find them on eBay sometimes... but what I did is carbon fiber wrap them carbon fiber white
At a 170k you will have fixing to do on any vehicle worse if its poorly maintained ...I owned a LR4 it runs like a beast only problem she gets real thirsty for premium gas
Based on experience if the L322 is coming down and raising up properly.. .. it could be due to 5 main issues.. . 1. Height leveling sensor on the front and back 2. Air suspension compressor pump 3. Air suspension compressor relay or valve 4. One of 4 {or all} suspension bag leakages 5. Air suspenson tank leakages Note : If a new Air suspension compressor or suspension is replaced... the SUV might still need a calibration by a designated Range Rover mechanic shop !! Therefore .... sometimes it makes sense why many just decide to remove the Air suspension altogether and replace them with the regular suspensions !!!
Regarding your note: I have watched a dozen videos on people replacing the air suspension bags, and videos from Arnot etc - -and none of them mention the fact of a necessary recalibration. Is there a specific year range or something that this is specific towards?
Shouldn’t unplug the battery when ur not using it Range rovers don’t like being disconnected from the battery! All I have to do is let it runa few days a week don’t need to disconnect battery
My wife was driving the car and it said suspension fault and lowered all the way down to bump stops. Any ideas? I ordered the icarsoft and waiting to try it.
Miki Do weird usually it will raise to a default setting. Once you get the icarsoft see what the fault code is then reset the suspension fault it could be just a glitch. Remember once you reset the system you got to turn the steering wheel left to right or is it right to left either way turn the steering wheel all the way to the right all the way to the left. Plus when you see what the fault code is just look it up online and see what happened.
