I Had a Cosmic Head Massage in Pushkar, India 🇮🇳

- In this India Travel Vlog, we find ourselves caught in a Tourist Scam in India.
I have loved 99% of my India travels, unfortunately, we fell victim to a religious scam in Pushkar, India in this travel vlog.
Whilst the people and culture of India are so varying and beautiful, I do share REAL travel experiences - the ups and downs, good and bad, and this did happen to us. Whilst we have travel experience and were able to get out, maybe others weren't so lucky, so I am sharing my experience to help others notice this scam before it happens or to show them how to get out of it if they find themselves in it.
I know that scammers and scamming are not representative of the average Indian population - but my channel is not an India channel, it's a travel channel, and this is what happens sometimes.
We also tried some amazing Rajasthani street food, and felt the Israeli influence on the town whilst devouring an amazing Falafel Roll, and finished off our experience with a cosmic head massage from one of the friendliest people we have ever met.

My trip in India so far has been amazing. This was just not a good day, and that happens everywhere when you travel. I won’t ever be a channel that hides these things and only shows perfect situations. That will never be me.

As an Indian, I apologise for these scamsters in our country.
These scamster are everywhere in the world.
You don't need to apologise bro , go and check the rome Colosseum scam , it's all over the world ,good and bad people
@@amitchodankar1989 Yes true, scamsters are available in most nations, however rather than looking into that logic, we need to work towards improving the situation in our country.
यह ब्राह्मण कभी नही सुधरने वाले।
@@amitchodankar1989 These people belong to the Brahmin caste who consider themselves to be of high caste and have been doing the same thing for thousands of years, looting the people of India and spreading hypocrisy and superstition. These people do not work hard.
For any other tourists who may be unware. There is no religious tax or anything like that in India. It is a secular country and free country, you do not need to donate just because you are a tourist. Also when needed, always threaten police action if your property is endangered, police tend to prioritise tourist issues (which can be a bad or good thing depending on who you are). Never feel bad about threatening police or being rude if you are defending your personal space or property, it is what scammers and creeps deserve.

So sorry that happened to you. The exact same thing happened to us 9 years ago in Pushkar. The guy asked for $50 each and we refused to pay too and then the guy started yelling and flailing his arms around. It was a really scary moment. So disappointing to use religion to scam people. Thanks for posting this and showing the world. Hopefully, it will save other tourists from falling into the trap. Safe travels guys!
I really hope so too. Thank you so much for watching! 🙏🏼❤️
It's still happen in everyday basis and we are really sorry for your bad experience guys, hope one day we can do something about it
It happens with all of Indians on daily basis and lot of them still don't know that they are being scammed in the name of religion. There are lot of self made Godman in India and people literally worship them even after they are being caught by police and serving prison time in serious crimes like rape and murder people must understand that they don't need anybody between them and god ..they can direct approach him😂 if he really exists in any form
As an Indian I feel ashamed of the bad experience you went through. Please accept my most sincere apologies. Thank you for visiting my country; we'll try to make it better for visitors and everyone. Hope your overall experience was worth the travel.

Actually you handled scammers better than most Indians ! Kudos ! Leaving scammers disappointed is best thing in the world !
First offer of free stuff is how they hook you in here in Indian temples.
Also Scammers are everywhere, I was on receiving end of gold ring scam while I was in Paris.
Myself living in Australia Adelaide from last 9 years and belongs from New Delhi. One best tips I want to give you is that...... Always talk to the local people before you do something which you are not sure of, I can understand being in a new country you may not know all the local rituals, please try to talk with a few local people they will definitely help you, they might not help you if you don't ask for help because may feel you are doing it from your will. Please Please talk to local people at least a few. Don't hesitate to call the police in case of need dial 100 they will definitely help. Try to talk to people where you will or stay being local they will help you and guide you. People in India are good. Sorry for this from my side. Please let me know if you need any help or guidance happy to guide or help. Cheers.

@@josieliftsthings Yeah and since you're in Rajasthan, I would suggest to not skip visiting Udaipur at any cost. It's an amazing place. You will definitely love the vibe of Udaipur.
Please visit Kailasa Temple at Ellora Caves in Maharashtra India. It's considered greatest architecture in history of mankind, because the way it was built seems unbelievable for even today’s time. The temple was built at least 1300 years ago. No stone or nothing was added they carved a mammoth Granite rock/mountain with intricate details. The Kailasa Temple is notable for its vertical excavation-carvers started at the top of the original rock and excavated downward. At least 400000 tonnes of stones have been removed in the process. About 7000 workers and their future generations worked for 135 years. One small mistake and you have to rebuild the whole temple because it's carved into the rock without adding anything, that too up to down.
It has secret underground tunnels believed to be leading to underground city which is even more mysterious and government have totally locked that down and no researchers are allowed to go inside.
During the reign of Mughal emperor, Aurangzeb, the temple was ordered to be demolished along with other temples nationwide.
For the task in 1682 he sent over 1000 labourers especially to destroy Kailasa Temple; they worked for over 3 years, but could barely manage to disfigure the statues here and there. It's the solid granite rock that's made so hard to destroy.
Despite of his repeated efforts to tear down Kailasa Temple, Aurangzeb did not found success. Finally he gave up on destroying this temple. This is the same person who has destroyed thousands of ancient temples in India but he could not destroy this one so you can understand the magnanimity of the temple.
other than Kailasa Temple there are 99 other cave temples there (100 total) of which 34 are open for public viewing. whole temple complex known at Ellora Caves.
Very sorry to hear about your experience at pushkar. Hope you do understand every place has good and not so good experiences and we do feel sad and connected of how you must have felt.

Cows have very good emotional understandings. According to Hinduism they are just next to humans. I would love to see you go to a good Goshala (cow shelter) and spend a few minutes with cows. Cow shelters open for public would would generally have provisions to feed. Else you could carry bananas or jaggery to feed. I visited cow shelters many times and I love the interactions particularly with calves. It’s one good way to experience Indian culture which I rarely see tourists doing.
So do dogs and pigs. A human heart can grow inside of a pig but not a cow.
@@jayk6087 What I spoke is about emotional understandings and not physiology. And yes, according to Hinduism, cows are better than even dogs in emotional understandings. Many just don’t have the experience particularly outside Indian villages. I was fortunate to have had many interactions with cows.

Thank you Harish!! ☺️☺️
Real sickening to see these kinda scammers. No wonder many people hesitate to go to such places. Though we presume holy places have people of virtues & good morals, but devils do hang around !! Anyway, be cautious, careful & stay safe guyz.
trust me you won't miss out on anything by not visiting Agra. this Golden triangle is more of a golden trap for tourists.
I definitely want to see it - it’s one of the wonders of the world the Taj but not yet - I want to do other things more! 😁🙏🏻
It is very unfortunate that you have gone through this experience. There is a small minority with no good intentions. As I can see from the comments and it is true it does happen to us as Indians and just tourist. I am sorry for your bad experience. If it was me I don’t think I would handled as good as you have handled the situation.
Thank you so much for this comment!! I know we aren’t the only ones, I felt uncomfortable from the start and it was just a bad feeling the whole day after too, thank you so much 🙏🏻🙏🏻
It’s world! You have good and then bad people. Bad people definitely need to be taught lesson. Would you mind me tagging police official so that the scammer on video can be taught a lesson ?
Yes please! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
G’day josie and Michael , I’m an indian living in Brisbane, i can see you guys enjoying india but also feel sorry for what happened with you guys . whenever someone tries to sell you something religious thing as he did today just walk off and don’t fall for the trap , as I’m living in Australia for quite a while now and I understand Australians , trust me these thing are not for you . Visit the places do whatever you want to do but bring some more “nahi chahiye ji “ you’ll be fine and “Duck em into Dunny guys “ . Cheers
Hello! Thank you so much for watching. You don’t have to be sorry, things like this happen and it doesn’t represent everyone. 😊🙏🏼
So sorry for your experience. As many people already said this happens to Indians as well as most of us speak vastly different languages. The best thing is that if you go to a religious place then do not take anything from anyone outside of the temple area for free (it is never free). If you want something, ask the shopkeepers, and buy it from them. Inside the temples try to avoid anyone who is selling you something. It is the same as the scams in Paris and Italy with free bracelets and those pictures with the people who dress like statues.
The more touristy the place the more scams there will be. The thing is these Indians think that "White people" have lots of money and for them even INR 500 is big so you know what it means. I wish you a great journey. hope this does not happen to you again.
Himachal Pradesh is best place to travel in India at this time🏔️🏔️
Dalhousie, dharamshala, kasol, kullu and Manali are best places to visit for their beuty, food and culture ❤️
I can understand..even We Indians are having a hard time ignoring these people at some religious places .... It will be shocking for you ...be careful next time...lots of love❤
