There are 2 legendary presentations of Megh, deep, sombre, a cloudy sky with rain prelude by AK and BGAK. Then the blitzkreig rain of Ustad Salamat Ali and a solid, joyful rendition of shower of Ut Sharafat Hussain. MM carves his own space with a soft but elaborate, minute tankari and gamak, it's a mild, soothing monsoon here.
Rings so true to me, BGAK's staple bandish is --"More mandara aba awo saajana", Salamat Khan -- "chamakata daamana baadala barse" , Ustad Sharafat Hussain, the mighty voice of Agra--"dhuma dhaaam aye", but Mansur pictures a different monsoon, a mild, soothing, one
