    I'm so confused building my own brand coz I can't stop worrying my audiences and trends nowadays. Thank you, this video suddenly makes me feel better and less anxious

    Right on!!!! I follow your philosophy on creating art. It's primarily for myself. I have to enjoy doing it otherwise I'm miserable.

    I love your video!! I always have problems with my confidence as an "artist". Also, when I decided to have a social network to post my drawings... oh man, I really felt the tension and stress of not drawing too fast and well. Now, I finally take a break and start drawing from time to time. I recognized that I prefer to learn step by step, only with myself, and only post when I really want to, and your video makes me feel more confident with my decision. "Focus more on you and not on the audience" is the key!! Thanks!!

    ArtofJazo here, excellent quality upgrade and branding with your channel. My experience with this is one of trying to find a balance between the two. I can't run from what I know people want, so it always plays a role in art I make/share.

    • @thedrDraw
      @thedrDraw  Před 2 lety +1

      Hey Jazo! You’re so right about you say. Making art is a balance. In the video I present one side, but you’re correct to keep the audience in mind. What feels like a right balance for you?

    • @manic2180
      @manic2180 Před 2 lety

      @@thedrDraw I would say it depends on the person, what phase they're in and goals they have. So that balance can rage from 90-10, 50-50 anything really. Sometimes it needs to be a full focus on one or the other. However, I would say your advice in the video is best to follow before an artist worries about any this.

    • @thedrDraw
      @thedrDraw  Před 2 lety +2

      What you say is correct, I believen that when you work for a client you should be concerned about the ‘audience’. In art it’s more about expressing oneself so there I think it is less important. But great to see it as a scale instead of a ‘yes or no’.

    I find going with sketch pad for a beer is good idea altho i sometimes feel people are jelaous for no reason but taking sketchbook anywhere i go is best idea in life. It must be part of me cartoons drawings, of everything learn first simple forms and think how all artists tell you and itll become second nature anyway i like exaquration like caricature of everything. Thank vi help a lot. Thank you good ideas.

    Your channel is amazing! Thank you so much for all that genesority! -- Coincidently, one thing I've noticed that made me feel better about my drawings is to keep my sketchbooks open, laying flat on the desk and leaning against books / wall so I can see them. I've learned to appreciate my art more by doing that simple thing. Anyway... I just thought of sharing this little thing... I believe it resonates with your video.

    I always make art for myself, sometimes it's hard when people aren't impressed by it, but I'm trying my best not to care about them. There's no one who can stop me from drawing what I want. This video is exactly what I needed, thank you so much

      It means you care about your work. Thats awesome. But in the end we make art to express ourselves. And the stupid thing is, pixelf*cking will never impress people or help you express yourself. Expression is only achieved by trial-and-error. So just keep producing and share it because I know you make awesome stuff! I wanna see moooooore

    Should I form a "practice body" to practice perspective when I draw my daily life, like a 3 box body(representing head,chest and pelvis) with a rubber tubes as limbs
    Is that thing gonna help me in perspective understanding ??

    • @thedrDraw
      @thedrDraw  Před 2 lety

      It sounds more like your studying ‘form’ not perspective. Perspective is about vanishing points and form about boxes and tubes. Check out the Katsuya video ;)

      I meant to say that to make simple 3 box body to practice perspective because it is easier to place a box in perspective than a complex figure
