    To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. czcams.com/users/postUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.

    I'll add this just in case anybody is worried about the Sports falling out or getting loose during a run...I have SoundFree Sports with the same wing-tipped rubber design, and I have gone on plenty of runs and played plenty of basketball and NEVER HAD ANY ISSUE of them falling out or becoming loose. Great quality in that aspect!

    I work in industrial manufacturing and the ANC is an absolute life saver. They work as good as actual ear plugs but the transparency is amazing so you don't have to remove them to hear coworkers speak. A quick charge during lunch and they will last a ten hour shift.

    1 year and a half with my quiet comforts and initially feared they would not warrant the price. Best noise cancelling, weather resistant, sounding AND most importantly best phone call headphones I've used. Some things are worth the money. I've played 🏀 basketball games with them on and they seldomly fall out only if I get really worked up. I've E scootered in them over 10kms+distances. They're great for public transport just cancelling the noise without any music on.

    I recently got the Sport, but still decided to check this comparison out. While I'd love to have Noise Cancellation, I really can't justify it. I'm also not listening to that much music. Also, I'm not really doing the 'sport' part of this either. I listen to audio books around the house. No major activity. I needed to replace my previous bose earbuds because they were lost. For what I needed, I might have gotten better for the price(though I did get the Sport on sale), but I am really pleased with bose. I'm glad I didn't pay the extra for the NC. What I will say is lacking is how long they last (5 hours) and that they don't have the wireless charging. I don't mind the size of the case, but with it, I think they should have the wireless charging for the sport as well as the QC. My previous buds allowed me to channel through my different devices (which I do a lot) and this does not. I can do it via the case, as shown, but previously I could go through them by tapping the bud, which was a better option. Like my previous pair, these are the most comfortable I have. I have had a couple others (that I still use), but they eventually hurt my ears and I always go back to my bose as soon as charged.

    One of the better reviews about the two Bose earbuds. However, I saw at least two very recent viewer comments, and it would behoove you to do another review. Bose has just recently release an update for the Bose sport Earbuds. One of the features is an added customizable three band equalizer. Another is the ability to switch devices.

      @dcarts5616 Před 2 lety +1

      I agree! Best sound I’ve ever experienced in a wireless earbud. Sadly after about 22 months of ownership, they stopped charging properly or the batteries just failed as after charging to 100% (verified, all troubleshooting complete) they would only last 15 minutes tops. A TERRIBLE experience after paying over $300 after tax for them. Bose will though, discount a replacement, but the two on this review appear to not have the same sound quality as the SoundSport Free models. Sad that I may have to move on from Bose that seems now to be carried on by their name, and not their quality. Simply put, Chinese made crap is exactly that, Chinese made crap regardless the brand name plastered on the box.

So for me, even tho there are better allround earbuds, the bose sport were perfect for my ears, which was by far my most important metric. (I tried Jaybird vista 2 and Jabra elite active before them)

    Thanks for the update. Thinking of gettng the QC earbuds for outdoor use. GIven the way it is supposed to be worn/installed, have you ever noticed if it does fall off or if it is stable while wearing a mask? Since the elastic cords can slightly bend your ears or get in the way of the buds, I'm deciding whether I should get this over the Powerbeats Pro. ANC is a bonus but not the primary concern. (And if ever I am getting the Bose, I would opt for the QC vs the Sports Buds for the added value). Appreciate your thoughts. Thanks

    • @insidetechltd
      @insidetechltd  Před 3 lety +2

      It really depends on the mask. I used to wear the surgical-style ones a lot, and I find the elastic is really loose around the ear so doesn't affect wearing earbuds at all. But I have a new fabric mask with tighter straps and it pulls my ears a bit (the earbuds haven't fallen out, but the seal isn't as tight). So it really depends on the mask, but I don't expect it'll make a big difference

      @insidetechltd  Před 3 lety +1

      I think the QC are the better overall earbud - but the Sport are a bit smaller and more suitable for running. I wouldn't say either are great for running because the fit in the ears isn't super secure - but it really depends on each person, and if they fit you perfectly and stay in place then they'll be absolutely fine!

    • @kayelle8005
      @kayelle8005 Před 2 lety +4

      I have both and once I got the right fit I feel fine Re security. I don’t worry about them falling out much, but I mainly walk and hike and when I run it’s interval sprints rather than long distance running. I have an older version of the sport with the rounded case which in some ways I prefer because it’s a bit smaller but overall I like the snap in feature of the quiet comfort case. The biggest issue for me with the quiet comfort is the volume control. It’s pretty annoying with the swipe. Better to use the phone to change volume. Noise cancelling is very important to me due to a hearing issue I have so I rarely use the sports anymore. I just have them as my backup. I also like that there are three noise cancelling options. I use them for podcasts as much as music. I also use them to screen out noise in shopping centres to help avoid triggering vestibular migraines. Re the size. I actually find it a plus that they’re large. The discrete option means that people don’t realise you have earbuds in and get annoyed when they talk to you and don’t realise you haven’t heard them. With the larger size they are more likely to notice. Overall I really like the quiet comfort and am very happy that I bought them. I find them super comfortable and have worn them for hours at a time. So if noise cancelling is important to you I’d highly recommend.

    I was between Jaybird Vista 2 and Bose Sports Earbuds; But eventually I went for Bose because many other reviews say Bose has the best sound quality and the most comfortable sports earbud. I also read some negative comments about the connectivity issues of Jaybird on its own website... Did I make the right decision? I can still return Bose and get Jaybirds for exactly same price...

    I bought Bose sport earbuds and for me this is great purchase. I tried a lot of headphones 🎧, but Bose fit me better than others. It has the highest quality fit. I noticed that the sound does not have a lot of detail, but the sound is quite energetic with a predominance of medium frequencies. The tops are also not bad, the basses are noticeable, though not tight. But the sound is lively, with a good transfer of the main nuances of the piece. Compared to Bowers and Wilkins PI5. Of course BW have great sound detail, but they also have a low-frequency halo. Their vocals are lost among the instruments. And one more thing - my ears hurt from them - the Bose silicone nozzle is much more convenient.

    The sound quality for music is amazing, best I’ve ever heard. But as far as canceling out back noise while on a phone call it is very poor quality. My fellow truck driver, this is not for us. Engine noise will have the caller on the other end struggling to hear you. Even when being off loaded in the warehouse when forklift driver going in and out of trailer people will not be able to hear anything your saying. For that reason I returned it for a BlueParrott Bluetooth headphones with cancels out %96 background noise. Bose is for people who work in a quiet environment.

      Agreed. Noise canceling for the speakers is the best ever. A foe noise canceling for the Mike, Plantronics Voyeur is the best and Bose QC is right at the bottom. If you buy ear buds for music, definitely recommend Bose QC. If you buy ear buds so others can hear you while speaking in a noisy location, go with Plantronics

    I just picked these up as I had a lot of reward points with Best Buy, I only paid 59.00 US (Yeah, I had over 200.00 in rewards) I was planning on buying them at full price, so this was not the reason I bought them. I have the QC 30 over the ear from Bose, but when we fly, my wife usually ends up with them. So, on to my question: Have you looked them over recently? Apparently the app now has EQ settings. I am wondering if this changes your review at all as I understand that was something you and many others found lacking. The ANC is just as good as you mention, so I am very happy with that. I believe that even at full price I wouldn't be dissapointed, but they are pretty spendy. What do you think a fairer price would be? Maube closer to 225, or even 200 USD? Great review and I am happy to have stumbled uopn your channel!

    • @insidetechltd
      @insidetechltd  Před 2 lety +1

      It doesn't drastically change the review, but i'm definitely pleased that they've added the EQ! In terms of being a fair price, it really depends on what you're after. If you specifically want the best noise cancelling earbuds out there...it's worth the price! I think $220 would have been a more realistic launch price though 👍🏼

    in thise day and age, if we are going for the no button design, then the controls should be this for BOTH L and R. Full independant functions for both for single or dual use.
    1 Tap: Play/Pause & Answer/Hang Up since phone calls over ride music anyway
    double tap: skip song
    triple tap: restart song/skip back
    swipe up: volume up
    swipe down: volume down
    I used to be able to get wireless earbuds that would have a main button and then volume controls. Each pair would have these buttons and usin them was the easiest thing in the world. The hard part was finding a pair that sounded "good". And going to box store in a world where their "tech expert" would just direct you to the iphone section and then laugh at you when you asked about anything else, only for them role their eyes and walk away when you tell them about the world of technology and features on everything else because they're shoving a 300 dollar pair of mediocre headphones at you.... yea no.
    The last pair of wireless earbuds I got from Bose had all the features needed for a truely wireless experience like my cheapo no name brand headphones, except all the controls were on ONE SIDE. So you couldn't switch left and right based on their charge.
    I know just use Sony's wireless headphones, that you wear like a necklace since sony sounds "great" across all their products, and have a great battery life, I typically never need to charge my sony headphones, and more just charge them out of convinence compared to "oh crap I HAVE to charge them now"
    Bose and Sony continue to have the best sound quality in my opinion. My bose headphones and bluetooth speakers are all amazing, I just wish they'd have inate controls rather then needing bloat ware. There's no real reason you need an app to handle your headphones

      They’re ok. It really depends on your ears. Bose Sport Earbuds - Fantastic review - here is my editorial - great fit, good sound, with good navigation features. That is where the Bose Sport earbuds are best. They are terrible as a voice headset. Background sounds, (wind, typing, filing paper, normal daily activity) are so loud and intense for the person on the other end of a call that it makes having a conversation frustrating and quite often painful to the listener. Sport Earbuds are not dual-function headphones, they are good at one thing only, listening to music or audiobooks and podcasts. They suck as a conversation microphone and headset.

      @insidetechltd  Před 3 lety +1

      Nice idea, but not correct i'm afraid. I tried multiple orientations in my ears and in no position did they feel fully secure. I'm not wearing them 'wrong', i'm wearing them in the most comfortable and secure position for me - which is the correct way to wear them. The reason they feel as though they may fall is because of the size, weight and shape of the earbuds combined with my particular ear shape. The process is testing > review written > filming. What you're seeing on screen is simply a bit of capture - it does not necessarily represent every single way that the earbuds were worn. I tested the earbuds out fully, then wrote my thoughts on them, and then put them in my ears on camera simply for a bit of capture.
