A stripped down live performance for The Sun website (Biz Sessions - www.thesun.co.uk). "Run For Your Life" is taken from Matt Cardle's debut LP, "Letters".
Solo album 2 is finished. Since he financed, wrote and produced it himself, he has had complete artistic control. From what I understand from his tweets, there are several pure acoustic numbers, as well as some B&B (co-written with 16 time grammy nominee, Brian McKight), Country (co-written with Carry Underwood's song writer, as well other Nashville veterans) and songs with strings arrangments (many funny tweets from Matt about that)and some pure rock. It is going to be great. Out in November.
I am sure Matt did this arrangement himself, just as he did all those years with Ali, playing as Darwyn and then with Seven Summers. They had no money to pay a musical arranger or producer, so you know Matt did it all himself. Seven Summers is just an amazingly produced album with exquisite sound. Matt must write, arrange and produce his next album himself, if we are to get the full benefit of his genius.
Apparently not. Sony and Simon wanted another overproduced ablum just like Letters, with Matt again not even allowed to play guitar on it. That is why he built his own recording studio on his home and made his escape from Sony/Syco/Columbia.
Love this version of Run For Your Life!

really didn't like studio version, but this? i'm delighted and finally like it :D
Does anyone know if Matt is using Seven Summers as his band? I certainly hope so!
His performance at CIN was good, but I think this arrangement would have made bigger impression on the public
