Having Craig around seems to have really been good for your business. A in house mechanic probably wouldn't make sense as you don't have enough work to constantly keep them busy so a good all round mechanic that can turn his hand to anything and that you can just call to get things fixed definitely seems to make the most sense. Also let's be honest how many mechanics would be willing to turn their hand to so many strange projects like Craig.

It's not accurate. I have a Can Am X3 Turbo R with tracks and they come with a module you have to install to make the speedometer read accurate. I purchased a Speedohealer and calibrated it in lieu of using the module. The module limits your top speed to about 28 mph with tracks for safety reasons. With the speedohealer installed it bypasses the speed limiter and I can hit 48 mph on tracks.
You nailed it, low pressure footprint. While I served, I got qualified on a lot of vehicles. The Haglund's BV206 had that same feature. Steep iced hill fully loaded, 9 guys, winter tent group, rucks, etc, straight up it!

Busch light IS the beverage for a sxs driver in case you were wondering. There's a lot of dramatized stuff about the shape of that 800, all the things you named are pretty common to replace on any used 800 besides the head gasket. The stock seat belts are removed because they lock up with the slightest bit of mud and they are a pain to fix and expensive to replace, harnesses are the way to go. Stock 800s didn't have the seatbelt sensor speed limiter stock, therefore the "safety systems bypassed" you said is inaccurate as well, the aftermarket harnesses YOU bought and put in there have the option for them like newer sxs. The frame bent is not surprising the 800 frames were very light and any excessive jumps would bend them without bracing. Even those outlaw style tires, when they get age on them it doesn't take much riding on pavement really start taking big chunks out of them and make them look like hell. (They are pretty easy to spin on pavement too, whether you mean too or not) All that being said the 800s is still a pretty legendary and reliable sxs once you figure out what to watch out for. Thats a 2010, the only year on the S with stock backbones over the bed, what do you expect from a 11-12 year old sxs?

Cool trick I learned when I was younger which helps tell if a head gasket is bad...take your over flow hose put it in a bottle of water if it bubbles pressure is escaping from your motor which could be a headgasket.

Those tracks usually have a built in gear reduction. The top speed test should be re evaluated using a different speedometer.
