I've read a lot about James White and always thought of you, but can we get SW or BM to color match??? I know color matching is not the best idea, but Farrow & Ball is too far from me.
I did something similar to your suggestion with Palm in my hallways. There used to be a Martha Stewart color called Bakery Box White that I would compare to BM's Floral White (which you should also do an episode on) which I used on the ceilings and cornice with the pale green on the walls. My goal was to get the feeling of greenery in sunshine being reflected onto the ceilings (it's all open to big windows), and it worked beautifully. Even my kids didn't believe me at first when I told them that they were looking at a very pale greenish white not white-white.
Speaking of white colors, will you please consider creating a video about Behr’s Blank Canvas? It’s a really neat color and I’d like to use it in my home, but I’m struggling to find accent and trim colors! Your suggestions are cohesive, especially with the more bold and stand-out pairings. I’d love your advice, thank you Paint People person James!
This colour looks similar to BM Ashwood, OC 47, (although lrv is 68), a neutral off white with a touch of green undertone. We painted our living room with it, east facing. It provides a cozy but light back drop to our room.
As a fellow Canadian, most of our windows are white vinyl on the interior. I would love to see a video dedicated to how and how far off white can you go for the contrast trim trend when you are stuck with white windows. I am particularly interested in greens or greenaige!
Off the subject James but as I watch your paint videos, I can’t help but notice your eye glasses remind me of the egg dippers that are included in the PAAS Egg Decorating Kit. I’m not making fun of them in anyway just an observation. Great video none the less!
I need a white for a miserable hallway stairs and landing . Please suggest something.l? Something for the walls ceiling and woodwork etc all the same colour I was thinking. I have Wimborne white on ceiling and walls and one wall old white the lounge. And Vardo in the downstairs W/C.
We painted our bedrooms, library and halls Sherwin Williams Sky High and move the pale blue. But not sure I want it in the living room, den and breakfast room - I was thinking a creamier off white. Do you have an opinion for me? I love your videos.
Great colors! But I do not have Farrow and Ball near me and they are very spendy. So I might just have them send me paint swatches and go get a color match in a Behr paint. I have had great one coat coverage in their Marque paint(light over light--smooth walls, textured walls use more paint). Just more convenient to find them near me. But I do love the colors. You have had some great color suggestions! 😊
@@claycollins9852 Yes. One coat. Of course if it is a light color over dark...no. But if you are going over a similar shade then yes. Of course I have smooth textured walls. If you have texture it will take more paint. The Marque is a great paint. Is it as good as Benjamin Moore. No. But it is pretty darn good and you save quite a bit of money in the process... 😉 I have the Behr on my walls and holds up really well--even over several years and is scratch resistant and easy to clean. The formulas have come a long ways over the years...

What’s a SW equivalent? Can’t get Farrow and Ball here.
Go into a sw. They'll tell you the colors are over there while never looking up from their phone.

Have you used the Dead Flat? It can be used on everything walls wood everything (instead of doing egg shell on wood)

What about in a kitchen with white cupboards
Very cohesive palette. The James White would have to have a green undertone.
