The Deltic. My favourite loco. Power, speed and beauty combined. Loved the lads with the broken headlamp. Good old British engineering know-how. If all else fails, "give it a good blurry thump!!!"
It sounded and looked fantastic, the guys at LSL give them much credit.
Love Deltics, the sight and sound, especially the sound 🤩
It was a great sight at the time just a shame about the weather
Beautiful 😍, another deltic up and running, that's 3 we've got in operation now 😀 👍👍
Fantastic to still have these Deltic’s on our railways 😀 wonderful sight and sound
Saw it pass Acton Bridge, what an absolute beast she is !!!. Once again another class video.
Nice one
The sound was fantastic just a shame the weather was abit crap
Always loved the sound of the Deltics... Takes me back to my teenage years - freezing my nuts off in some far away station as a train-spotter !
😂😂😂
Sounded fantastic. Even better when the second engine is sorted
Amazing rail movie, nice captures! Good work, master! Thumbs Up
All the best from Romania
Andrew
Wow D9000 /55022 sounds and looks absolutely fantastic Arthur glad to see her on the mainline again great video 😃👍
Thank you
Absolutely looked amazing. Hope all goes well for the tour today and everyone enjoys the experience
I have flamecut of original skin, fabulous!
Great video, the loco is looking immaculate.
Absolutely 👍
Great video, good to see her back on the mainline & looking and sounding amazing, shame the weather wasn’t kinder for you!😎👍🏼
Cheers pal
Yes weather was shocking but worth it. It’s scheduled to run again today. Sunshine at the moment ☀️
Fantastic video, rain made little difference, Great to see RSG again, I cabbed it when I was 13 at York in 1967, I think it was blue by then, or maybe just the full yellow front, twas a grey day, and Bittern was in the roundhouse annex still BR.
Anyway, i loved to see the Brush type4 as we all remember them.
But video quality and content 10/10, thanks.
Great story from your past, nice to read the comment and thank you for the kind words 👍
Give it a a wallop that'll fix it! Whoops too hard! 🤣
Nice little clip, the offside rear light on my Golf has a similar problem so I know what they needed to do was wallop it from the side not the front and that fixes it almost every time 😉
Excellent, and great to see her back on the main line !
Certainly is. It was worth the wait. Looked and sounded fantastic 👍
Superb video. Good catch.
Thank you John 👍
Was great to see at the time
Let's not forget her mate, D1935.
Often thought that myself 😊
Great Video Arthur. One not to be missed today!! If I'd had more time I would have gone to Chester, luckily I got her 2 minutes before the rain started.
Lucky you it pissed down in Chester. Not to bad when it departed back to Crewe . As you said not to be missed !!!
Will it run again tomorrow?
@@arthurgrowler5749 I could see lol. I've heard it could be on a loaded test run ,Chester Shrewsbury, Stafford, but not confirmed, so keep looking out in the morning.
@@philclarke3203 cheers Phil 👍
Very smart. . .puts the Brush in the shade and makes it look very 'boxy' in comparison.
Looked fabulous to be fair. Credit to all involved to get it running back on the main line
Excellent Arthur 👍 Was Going to go for this at Chester. but the early path got Cancelled So messed me up. Great Video 📹 👍
Cheers Pal
Might run tomorrow? Depends how the test went today
And you even caught the Beluga flying into Hawarden :-)
Not very clear but yes it was the beluga
Cool looking locomotives,i am not familiar with this locomotive is there two separate diesel engines?. Greetings from the USA. I enjoy watching your videos i like the roaring diesel power
Thank you 😊
Yes 2 engines in this loco. Only one was in use at the time when filming. It will be having its second engine working next time !!!!
The loco is called a Deltic. Used to mainly be used on the East Coast Main Line.
cant wait too see it on saturday . great video
You won’t be disappointed. Looked and sounded fantastic
Great catch Arthur.
Thanks Mike
Nice one Arthur I’m gonna catch that loco on October 12th
Great stuff 👍
@@arthurgrowler5749 yeah and it’s been 20 years now since royal Scot’s grey last wore that livery and carrying the old number d9000
@@thebrummierailenthusiasts5329 it did look the business 👍
@@arthurgrowler5749 yeah it does
Wow that looked like an emergency brake test when it first came in.
Yes I thought it would go way past me but it stopped pretty quickly….
Great catch Arthur. Shame thumping the headlight didn't sort it out.
Cheers Norman
To be fair they were well onto it and replaced in no time
At the engine didn't break like western champion
What’s happened there then
I’m angry that this came along my local line and I missed it thanks to school
It ran again today at an earlier time to Coton Hill.
Rail tour tomorrow passing Crewe. Acton Bridge. Warrington if it helps !!! Not sure your location
Only on one engine
Yes noticed that, maybe try the other engine tomorrow?
Just be glad it’s out. 2nd has issues which will be sorted later on in the year.
The tour goes up shap. Going to be fun on one engine.
@@russb2286 sure it will have abit of help from the back !!!
Bit of sulzer assistance
