You need a noise warning with the alphacool fan for headphone users, lol
I originally watched this video on Amazon. Incredibly useful review. Very clear. Very well paced.
Glad you enjoyed it!
My sl 140 fans make an oscillating sound so I have to use a custom fan curve in bios.
I didnt expect the 140mm version perform not as good as the 120mm version.
Too bad but hey - they are still good looking 😄
I have a lancool III RGB case, I was waiting for these 140, I already have 4x120 (for aio and rear) will they not be worse than those from the case, what differences can I expect?
So they don’t come with that thingy right there? I got mine and I do not see that in the box at all. 7:56
Have you finished the radiator tests with this yet? I’m really interested to see this compared to a few other 140mm fans: AL140 V2, EK Loop 140 RGB, and Arctic P14 ARGB.
Not yet, but 140 in general will be done soon
Would you recommend these or the light wings 140
Can you do the AL140 V2? I don't know if they are just mine, but they definitely sound louder than the AL120 v2.
I would like to see this as well
On a side note: Something seems to be not quite right with your sound .. there is kind of a ticking / clicking (?) low noise (similar to a metronome) in the background of most of the audio track. Maybe different encoding? Doesnt seem to appear in other videos though. Also, only noticed it because I was listening with my Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro in-ears, probably wouldnt have noticed it on my regular over ear headphones.
wondering if you can test an AL140 V2? hopefully it performs better than the SL140 infinity
I’ll put it on the to-do list
Do you plan on reviewing Phanteks D30?
This! I can’t believe there haven’t been any reviews on those yet.
I have bought several including a 120mm reversible and I can safely tell you they are beautiful and that's it :D. Their airflow is far from ideal and they hum quite a lot and are nasty, classic, the prettier the cooler, the worse it is otherwise
Agreed they are pretty. Shame there performance isn't as good and no I won't buy any fan that costs more than a Noctua Industrial 3000 rpm fan because pretty doesn't keep your system tempetures down.
That makes my head spin. I already have the 420mm rad with a case that of course supports it; all because I assumed bigger=better
But 140mm is supposed to be better than 120mm right? So... idk what happened but Lian Li should really fix this with an updated model
u still will get more likely better cooling than witch the 120s not because the 140 fans are better but because the 420 radiator most likely outperforms the 360 rad. So i personally dont think u gonna regret your purchase.
I'd like to buy 2x140 with an inverted blade for a quieter air intake. Is it quieter than 3x120?
Couldn’t tell you, so far I did not have the reverse blades, so no idea how they sound
@@STSYTthx for you quick reply :) i can supposed that the reverse make the same noise than the normal one. So what's your opinion about the noise of that 140mm fan ?
@@raynal2have you bought them? If so , how is it?:)
@@GatesAgency i got 3x120 reverse. it works really good and super quiet !
@@raynal2 I am thinking of buying them too, just cant decide to go with 140 or 120. Thanks for your answer.
On that background noise: Sounds like a poor attempt at ambient background music .. maybe leave it away next time?
I'd still pick Arctic over all of them. There's no way I'd ever pay $150 or whatever for 3 fans, or even $25+ per fan. Fans that offer marginal real world performance or noise (noise I'll just say as partially subjective, since there's A LOT of variables) benefits, in just about all "normal" use cases.
