- Today, we've got a ranking of all the new Pokemon in Legends Arceus from weakest to strongest. Obviously a competitive scene doesn't really exist for these Pokemon just yet, but on the off chance it happens in the near future, this video has got you prepared to know what's worth using and what isn't!

Lilligant just makes you wonder why they even bothered giving Decidueye the same typing
I think it's because there's not enough grass/fighting types personally
Or by design
They’ve done things like this before, in both Gen 7 and 6 we had 2 new Grass/Ghost types introduced.
I feel like decideye would have been cooler with grass and steel
@@calvin1053 or keep it's ghost type
Not gonna lie, I didn’t like Sneasler at first but after awhile and seeing some fan art of it with Weavile, I kind of like it now mostly for the fact that Sneasler is kind of like Weavile’s big sassy sister.
That happened with decidueye for me it looks phenomenal now but samurott is still the main one
See I like Sneasler because its claws remind me of Vega from Street Fighter
The bad thing about sneasler is it's double weakness to psychic
As soon as I discovered the sound it makes when you ride it, IM IN LOVE. Drain Punch and Dire Claw on Sneasler is basically bread and butter
@@SACREDGAMER9116 m Oooo
Hisuian Lilligant is very good, I used it in my first legends arceus playthrough and its leaf blade combined with victory dance really helped.
Thank you all for 150 likes, that’s fantastic!!
It also get sleep powder and two solid recovery moves in drain punch and will recover
Victory Dance is just such a damn good move its insane, like that move alone just makes close combat so terrifying with how much damage she'll dish out, there's a good reason why i rank hisuian lilligant a lot higher then hisuian decidueye: she's strictly better in every aspect
Hard to find tho, at least for me
Same man I went out of my way to catch and alpha petlil which took forever just because I liked liligants design. Agile victory dance to strong close combat is crazy. I gritted her to max and changed her nature to buff her attack stats and created a monster
@@abdulrahaman0157 Just look for a Petillil and use a Sun Stone. That spot where you can find Goomy in the Crimson Mirelands (just right of Holm of Trials) is also the same spot to look for Petillil.
I don't necessarily disagree with the placement of Electrode, and I think I has been a disappointment ultimately, but Mystic has covered it twice and has not mentioned that with the grass typing, it's lost it's weakness to ground, and has actually got an advantage over ground as an electric type. I don't think it makes up for the flaws, but that's something that should be mentioned or recognized.
I mean considering how much Earth Power is used that's a god send.
Alot of electric types are bad I tried to use a alpha electivire and it couldn't knock out any thing
losing the weakness to ground is really cool, but losing a single weakness in exchange for gaining the typing with the most weaknesses isn't exactly ideal. STAB for Grass type attacks is nice but i'll take a Mono-Electric type over H!Electrode pretty much any day.
@@CosmicToad5000 and I think that's fair. But as a grass type, and with the electric typing, it also loses weakness to flying. Again, not resounding, but I think worthy of mention.
I personally believe the new typhlosion should be ranked higher, especially when paired with a pokemon that can use willo-wisp. Infernal parade becomes a 120 STAB power move. How many ghost types have access to that kind of power. It's ghost stab hits what it's fire stab can't. We all know how good chandelure is.
the issue with typhlosions move is that it requires a status condition which unless you’re lucky and land a burn on an enemy with flamethrower, you have to spend a whole turn using will o wisp to apply that status condition. why waste a turn applying a status condition just so a mediocre move can be raised from 60 base power to 120 when i couldve just used two shadow balls and gotten 80 base power with each one?
Man imagine leading with toxic spikes and then rotating into Hisuian Typhlosion.
Zoroark does the same with it move which can frostbite a mon
Zoroark does the same and better plus has access to the nuke Hyper beam
@@jacobwhite208 I think its more useful in a competitive sense, vgc in particular if it's paired with a pokemon with prankster for example. That would make status moves priority making infernal parade live every time.
PS. As someone below stated, hisuian zoroark does the same, plus with strong style it's actually a 50% chance to burn (checked on serebii to make sure) bitter malice does the same. Be thankful that strong style doesn't exist in competitive, these moves would be ban worthy lol
Victory Dance Lilligant is by far my favorite grass fighting over Decidueye n Chesnaught. She's too OP. I love her.
For me, I find Electrode great to use. It's signature move Cloroblast gets stab, which boosts it to a 180 attack move, and I just love how there's finally a Grass Electric type other than Mow Rotom
One of my favorite things about Sneasler from a competitive aspect is that it acts as a perfect doubles partner for Weavile. It bypasses the same Pokémon restriction a regional variant would be held to, and both of them counter each other’s weakness (except for Weavile’s Fire weakness), making for a pretty scary double physical lead. Even if facing a physical wall, their attack stats are high enough to potentially team up and 2 hit KO the opponent.
My favorite new pokémon in PLA is sneasler because the design is much more majestic than it’s counterpart and it’s typing of poison/fighting is amazing too, sneasler is a majestic weasel and sneasler is my current favorite pokémon in PLA that isn’t a legendary or mythical because sneasler is just so cool. I’m hoping that all these ancient pokémons especially sneasler to return to the modern times in Gen 9.
@@kerrywien6775 I completely agree. I love how it feels unique and still manages to build on what makes Sneasel Sneasel (hence the name I guess lol). I still like Weavile, it’s a clean design, but when compared to Sneasler it looks like they just said “What if we took Sneasel and made it symmetrical?”
@@CaptainObliviousV Yeah, My New Favorite Pokémon is in Number 2. Hooray 🎉.
@@CaptainObliviousV Just hoping for The New Pokémons and Ancient Forms in PLA to return to Gen 9.
I feel that Hisuian Decidueye should be a little higher. It's likely that it will keep Triple Arrows, so if you combine that with Leaf Blade and give it a Scope Lens, then this thing is going to be a critical-hitting machine.
I honestly think that in my experience its the strongest starter. Played through the game 3 times, with each starter, and Decidueye is the one I used the most. Samurott is better against important fights sure, but by the time those are important, better options are available than Samurott
@@ilovepersona3 I think ti's the worst. Why use it when you have victory-dance H liligant being better than it in every way except stats?
@@Ghoulofidiocy2917 I have used H-Lilligant as well and it isn't better in every way, rather they each have a niche with their signatures. Victory Dance in the right circumstances can be stronger, but agile Triple Arrows into strong style crit leaf blade can be one of the strongest attack either of them can pull off. I believe them to be equal and fill their own purpose but not one is better than the other. I think Lilligant is simply the go to "I didn't pick Rowlet" pokemon
@@ilovepersona3 yeah that combo is almost broken but why the speed?
I think Typhlosion is too low and should have been higher. I use Mystical Fire, Infernal Parade, Thunderpunch, and Drainpunch on mine, and it's incredibly tanky with all its resistances. There are tons of double edge and strong fighting move users in the game, so that makes him so useful, as he can recover his health with drainpunch. And easily put status with a rapid infernal parade or thunderpunch. I would say it's right up there with H Samurott in viability. I used both of those so much in the game.
I feel like that’s a good move set but if you included stab shadow ball with that crazy 119 base sp attack instead of thunder punch and flamethrower instead of mystical fire there would be some serious results
'Typhlosion is incredibly tanky with all of its resistances', I want what you're smoking m8
With the addition of ursaluna does that mean ursaring can use eviolite... dear arceus what have we done
Holy crap.
Im looking forward more to Eviolite Ursaring than anything else tbh
I don’t see what good will it do considering it looses its flame orb or choice band for more defense
Guts flame orb will still be better
@@lovofofo ursaluna gets guts as well
I think Lilligant surprised a lot of people. An I just really hope that we see it again in future games to come
Loved hisuian Goodra, i used him along Basculegion in my first run and they were the tanky duo that carried my team.
Edit: it was a shiny Male basculegion so zen headbutt, ice fang and water crash (?) were doing great with its higher attack stat than the female.
I love how they turned a relatively weak pokemon like lilligant(My personal fave)and turned it into an absolute beast. I kid you not, lilligant dealt the finishing blow on the origin form of dialga.
I agree Hisuian Electrode probably isn’t the best stats or movepool wise, but mine has been the MVP of my team for catching alphas and legendaries. So long as it isn’t ground type, I always move first and can use an agile style thunder wave to paralyze it and get its HP down a bit. I’ve caught almost all of the legendaries on the first ball because of it.
Combo thunderwave and switch out to typhlosion with infernal parade and tou knockt out anyone in one hit. This guy is just looking at stats or idk how hes playing this game
@@94jmbottaro The whole point of the video was predicting how each pokemon would do in the comp scene when their introduced through home or the next mainline game.
Guts STAB Facade Ursaluna would delete neutral walls out of existence. Bulletproof Ursaluna is immune to fairly common supereffective special attacks like aura sphere, focus miss, and energy ball.
Electrode has the highest speed in this game which means it will get extra turns in this game where speed is most important. And you can do the combo thunder wave/switch out to typhlosion infernal parade and youll knock out anyone.
I’ve never played competitively but in my play through so far wyrdeer has been a staple on my team since it was a stantler, and I’ve been gravely disappointed with typhlosion but I can’t make myself switch it out for infernape
yeah, tbh decidueye and typhlosion struggle a lot in this game as some of their weaknesses are plentiful, but typhlosion has it especially rough with how lackluster his move pool is
@@bulborb8756
Yea I just finished avalugg but I still may switch out for infirnape I know it’s late but oh well
@@robertreynolds7123 yeah, but frankly i just barely find typhlosion better then decidueye just from the typing but thats really it
@@bulborb8756 I’ve yet to use any of the other starters. Right now my team is
Typhlosion
Wyrdeer (alpha)
Drapion (alpha)
Goodra (alpha)
Empoleon (alpha) and
Togikiss
Keep it up on your work and this video and channel
I already liked regular Goodra and I'm loving it's Hisuian form. If it's ever added to a main series game, it's gonna be in my party.
I wasn't into Lilligant's new ballet dancer legs xD But once I learned it's awesome stats and movepool, I got over that real fast.
I loved using samurot since it is very useful when farming exp candy by destroying alpha golem, rhyperior, bronzon, steelix and mismagius which help me a lot and I'm glad I chose oshawott as a starter. 😊
Idk why I like Ursuluna so much. I never cared about Ursaring but the new evolution is a staple on my arceus team. And you’re right, evolving it was so annoying that I feel rewarded and almost mandated to use it at least for a while haha
Ursalunas bulk and hard hitting came in clutch for me, in such a hit for hit style format, its a damn beast
Ursaluna was the star of my team the whole time, especially against Volo. My team was the same level range as his. Ursaluna took 2 or 3 aura spheres from Giratina like a champ, smacked it with a play rough, then got revived and repeat.
Hisuian Zoroark will be a dark horse, just disguise it for a pokémon with the justified ability. It will be a nightmare with mind games. You can't attack it with a dark type move it's only weakness. Or you can just disguise it as a normal Pokémon for getting an extra move. Also we don't know it's full movepool. If Bitter Malice enters the competitive, it might be a nightmare if the freezing change is high.
Thanks you for your video and channel
12:35
Where did you get this wonderful render/art of hisuian goodra? I can't find it anywhere. If anyone knows, please tell me, as I'd really appreciate it to know where I can see it.
You know when a list is bad when *all the starters* are lower. . . . . . . than a *very slow Ice/Rock pokemon. . . .*
“That’s disturbing”
- Eddward Double D, 1999
And on top of that has 2 double weakness.
Nicely done.
Fun fact: Enamorus therian form is actually base on 玄武 (Xuan Wu) one of the four beasts of China.
Steel Beam Did Get a Nice Tradeoff
In Exchange of Taking 20 Points Off From the Base Power, It Doesn't Half your HP Anymore. It's Now a Recoil Move That Makes the User Take Recoil Damage of 33% Of the Damage Dealt. This Isn't Too Bad and Can be Used On Hisuian Goodra With Draco Meteor For a More Offensive Moveset. It'll Still be Defensive While Hitting Like a Truck
it is something impressive that that sneasler has a strong potential for competition, at first his leak seemed deformed but seeing more of his design detail it became my favorite hisui form
For those who like Rom Hacks such as Radical Red, the most updated version of Radical Red now has Hisuian forms and their new evolved forms. I used Overqwil in the Elite Four with Sludge Bomb, Dark Pulse, Toxic Spikes, and Destiny Bond. Hisuian Zoroark I put a Focus Sash on it so once its Illusion form wears off, you can still take down your opponents. Problem is only coverage move I have on it is U-Turn, but I'm also running its signature move Bitter Malice, along with Destiny Bond and Flamethrower for coverage. Hisuian Goodra not only do I Dragon Hammer and Iron Head on it, but I've been rotating different moves on it such as Surf, Flamethrower, Giga Drain, Ice, and Thunderbolt varying on who I use it against. Hisuian Electrode I have Flash Cannon on it for Ice types but also to help take out Fairy types, and Foul Play for pesky Ghost and Psychic types. Sneasler I have Dark Pulse for the 4x weakness to Psychic but I can't for some reason teach it Ice Punch for Ground and Flying types so I ran Thunder Punch instead, which can help with water types. Ursaluna I gave it Earthquake, Play Rough, Fire Punch, and Thunder Punch to cover all 3 of its weaknesses, which is pretty strong. Hisuian Arcanine I've ran Solarbeam and Play Rough on it to cover all its weaknesses. Hisuian Samurott has Air Slash to cover the Grass, Bug, and Fighting weaknesses. Kleavor has Dig to cover Rock and Steel types. I know I've said a lot but that's my view on all the Hisuian Mons for Radical Red
On the topic of Legends Arceus moves being brought to other games I think it's pretty likely as most of them are fairly simple, partner Pikachu and Eevee were always in your team so they needed to be ultra flexible and powerful to not feel like a burden. I'm also gonna guess on how each move would translate into other games:
Triple Arrows: 50 power, guaranteed defence drop and a focus energy effect, like Trop Kick but with less power and boosting your crit chance
Infernal Parade: Basically Hex but with an added burn chance, simple
Ceaseless Edge: 65 power with higher crit chance, the splinters would probably work just like Sandtomb, Whirlpool or Fire Spin just without trapping the opponent
Chloroblast: 120 power, heavy recoil and lowers speed
Barb Barrage: Physical poison type Hex with a chance to poison
Psyshield Bash: 70 power physical psychic move that raises defence
Victory Dance: In other games it could be a physical version of Quiver Dance raising attack, defence and speed
Headlong Rush: Ground type Close Combat
Stone Axe: The same as Ceaseless Edge but rock type
Dire Claw: It would probably work the same but if drowsy goes back to being sleep it might change to just afflicting paralysis or poison
Raging Fury: Fire type Outrage
Wave Crash: 75 power physical water move with recoil and a chance to boost speed
Power Shift: self-explanatory swaps attack and special attack with defence and special defence respectively
Bitter Malice: This ones interesting it's Hex but with the chance to apply frostbite however if frostbite gets changed back to frozen this move might get changed to have a much lower chance to afflict it
Shelter: The obscured status is pretty interesting as it's not just for accuracy/evasion effects but also for protection effects as Giratina's Shadow Force which normally works like Fly, Dig or Dive making the user invincible (mostly) for a turn then attacking on the next turn but in Legends Arceus Shadow Force is a one turn move that give the obscured effect so Shelter could be like Protect with a defence boost
Esper Wing: 75 power high crit special psychic move with the chance to boost speed
Mountain Gale: 100 power 85 accuracy this move doesn't have any effects but maybe it'll work like Blizzard with better accuracy in hail
Mystical Power: 70 power raises the users attack and special attack if they have better attack than defence and the opposite if they have better defence, this move is exclusive to the lake trio
Bleakwind Storm: 95 power 80 accuracy with the chance to apply frostbite if frostbite becomes frozen this chance will be much lower, exclusive to Tornadus
Wildbolt Storm: 95 power 80 accuracy with the chance to paralyse, exclusive to Thunderus
Sandsear Storm: 95 power 80 accuracy with the chance to burn, exclusive to Landorus
Springtide Storm: 95 power 80 accuracy if in incarnate form chance for omni boost like Ancient Power if in therian form chance to lower foes defences, these effects could stay but the move might be changed to work like the other forces of nature signature moves and apply confusion like it does to the player if hit by Enamourus's attack it's just that confusion isn't a status in battle in Legends Arceus
Take Heart: Exclusive to Manaphy clears status conditions and raises attack, special attack, defence and special defence
Lunar Blessing: Exclusive to Cresselia, heals 50% HP and removes status conditions it also applies the obscured status so they'll probably just remove that part
Most moves don't really seem to need changes other than ones related to frostbite and drowsy (if they go back to being frozen and sleep) and obscured which could either be removed like with Lunar Blessing or changed to a Protect effect like with Shelter (possibly), what's most likely to change is power and accuracy as a lot of moves in Legends Arceus had their power and accuracy changed and they'll probably go back to normal in other games so some of the new moves might also get changed in similar ways.
You've got a lot of good ideas, but you really missed the mark on Lunar Blessing. Cresselia is already just about the bulkiest mon in the game, and adding a Full Heal effect to Moonlight is just game breaking for Cress.
@@lyrlwestrum3971 Oh no I'm fully aware on how bulky Cresselia is, it's just that Lunar Blessing IS a healing move so I doubt that'll change, maybe it'll only heal HP instead but then what sets it apart from Moonlight? if anything I bet Lunar Blessing will probably just get banned in competitive.
When Mystic brought Ursaluna stats and abilities.
Very scary against Bulletproof and Guts is what I don't want face off it.
cause if its Guts: you don't wanna status it and deal with boosted facades
if it's Bulletproof: welp, there goes a number of moves you can't use against it, especially ones it's weak to like energy ball, focus blast and aura sphere
I remember getting shiny Hisuian Sliggoo, I was not aware I was getting one of the best (and one of my favourite steel type) pokemon added to the game
I hope that the legends series evolves as it goes on like next be alola and have the challenges. Thatd be sick!
Next is going to be Gen 5 since it’s The Next Remakes and The Next Legends Game.
Just imagine Pokémon Grey Version as The Legends Game for Gen 5 Remakes. That’s awesome
And Pokémon Z as The SEQUEL to Pokémon X and Y.
Hey, I'm curious how viable Origin Dialga/Palkia could be. Could you maybe make a video on that?
I think the best chance for electrode would be it getting leech seed in the mainline games along with volt switch
Im sorry, but Hisuian Avalugg I belive should be ALOT Lower😅
yeah tbh, avalugg isnt that great cause its typing and stats arent the best
Fr tho it’s an awful Pokémon.
Previously it took my bullet punch at like 10% now it will do like 90%
The fact thats its higher than basculegion too....
Liligant is the cutest Pokemon.
I wanted to be it grass and fairy because whimiscott got that type but it's fine grass and fighting is a very good typing. It can dance and it can fight as well.
Its actually bad. 4x weak to flying 😭
i love sneasler and hisui liligant so much. fighting isnt even my favorite type but damn those are some good ass pokemon.
Love your vids, but you should really look over the pokemon’s stats cuz there’s a couple videos where you misplace the pokemon’s stats like for speed and special defense. With arcanine and many more Pokémon from past vids
Dude wyrdeer has a move called psyshield bash that increases defense and does 70 damage. That’s a pretty solid move right there
This is my Hisuian Samurott (Aku) move set if it were in a future game:
- Liquidation
- Night Slash
- Poison Jab
- Psycho Cut
this is very bad
Foul play honestly should never be considered since it does damage based on how low your attack stat is,aside from that great coverage
@@SlitherWing959 ok. Then Night Slash it is. At least that’s a true physical dark type attack and has a high critical hit ratio
@@tyranitorn8632 how is this bad? Most of my move sets for Pokémon are offensive with coverage. It’s because the casual and competitive tiers go so fast sometimes you don’t have a chance to use setup moves.
@@adamthespinygiant cause i don’t like it
Electrode could of had a niche as a fast Electro Web user, but Regieleki just kind of, exists.
not in legends arceus tho
but all it needs is hp ice and it can handle water/ground types, ground/dragon and ground/flying types 1,000,000 times better than Electrode ever eould while still having insane speed

A - Ursauna, Zoroark, Basculegion, Sneasler
B - Overqwil (and Qwilfish too), Typhlosion, Sammurott, Kleavor, Wyrdeer
C - Braviary, Decidueye, Arcanine
D - Electrode
F - Avalugg

Can’t wait to use Victory dance on Oricorio centered teams. New dance partner for the bird.
What is the site you’re using in looking for weakness resistance etc in elements?
Hisuian Zoroark could be scary if it gets hyper voice as normal stab
I think that move sets cant be looked at yet because we dont know what new moves the might get in later games like decidueye it clearly wont only have rock smash as a stab fighting move
Anyone else like the idea of Infernal Parade Typhlosion run alongside toxic spikes?
There aren't held items or abilities in the game except slow start. Where are you getting eviolite? Did I miss something about them adding pvp, abilities, or held items? Are abilities hidden?
I ❤️ this video and channel
Fun fact: swimming is just flying in water and flying is just swimming in the air
Fun fact: if you stab a bowl of cereal you will be a cereal killer
I think victory dance gonna be quivrr dance but psychical
Ursaluna is obscenely powerful in theory, it has the same attack stat as conkeldurr, with way more bulk and almost unwallable stab. Im going to say that thing is gonna be really powerful
Fun fact: In Pokémon stadium a lady says her life long boyfriend is a mightyena, and in let’s go a guy says he wants to give his girlfriend a water stone but he is afraid she will evolve and in the best wishes anime it shows a guy marrying his gothitelle. So yeah human Pokémon relationships are legal in canon. Theory: I have a theory that pokemon human relationships are probably legalized in places like Kanto but are illegal in places like sinnoh, that would explain why we see npc’s say they are dating a Pokémon in places like kanto, but not in places like sinnoh.
Am I the only one who’s gonna mention that Decidueye gets aura sphere…?
Shame they took off multi-hitting moves. Maybe triple arrows and ceasless edge would be good like double kick and icicle spear.
Pokemon legends: so when do I get abilities and held items?
Game freak: that's the neat part. You don't!
Im sorry thyplosion isnt weaker then avallug
None of the starters are weaker than Avallug.

Whatever you say about electrode won't stop me from using it to beat volo
Samurott is a beast great type aqua jet ceaseless edge psycho cut and ice beam are excellent movesets I use water pulse cause higher power and it never misses
Love how he didn’t include Dialga or Palkia Origin Form because obviously they’d crush everything else
Where do you get an evolite from?
Please pokemon put on the option for level cap

So evoliet ursaring is now a thing
I love the game it's just missing some dungeons, puzzles, and traps.
But it DOES HAVE SOME DUNGEONS FOR Us TO EXPLORE and it DOES FEATURE AN OPER WORLD AREA TO EXPLORE
They should have just made decidueye a grass/dark type or grass flying like I should have been in the first place
I mean looking at that Sp Def, Avalugg feels like it's way too high
Enamorus is garchomp’s worst nightmare.

Hands down The Best New Pokémon in PLA that isn’t a Legendary.
They should've given my mans Arcenine either steam engine or a new ability with the same concept, but instead swinging up attack two stages or something. Making it fire/rock and leaving it without anything to hold itself down with defensively just crippled it all the way to kanto and back
Why does Wyrdeer have such a low speed while being the speed mount?
Ursaluna can sweep Volo's entire team, just fyi
Damn Ursaluna is a beast FR
I feel it’s still a bit early to talk about the usage of these Pokémon in future games as currently they have no abilities. I feel if they are transferable to future games, that they will gain abilities which could change how useful they are!
They have abilities coded in game, but they just have not been used yet
About overqwil....
Are you sure youve been following the discussions about overqwil because that is *not* the consensus
The current consensus is that overqwil might be a powerful non-water swift swimmer since it has decent enough speed to use swift swim and barb barrage being a hex helps it with damage
There's still a lot to be discussed with overqwil, mostly in the question of whether or not it will get a physical dark type move (since legends areceus straight up doesnt have any) being a good deciding facotr on his viability
Well I mean yeah thats why the old Arcanine lord died after going for a swim
Hisuian is nothing more than a revenge killer
But man that design is fire!!!
Decidye should be higher grass types rule
I didnt like that so many of them shared typings.
