Because Em’s cheap (see previous lines), he considers McDonald’s to be a restaurant - public consensus, however, says otherwise
As a side note, Em has mentioned McDonald’s in several previous songs.
Continuing with the theme of cheap establishments/food, Em’s in the mood for hotdogs and other than Sonic, very few fast food places actually have hotdogs. A&W’s are clearly the best though.
