    In my opinion I loved the spiral cause it lays flat but ours too are coming apart which is a challenge. I love the watercolor aspect, that alone makes me want to get LA 5.

Not even from a financial standpoint but they are truly listening to feedback from the users. Their curriculum is just amazing compared to others I’ve looked at.

      I've been just printing everything out though, and probably will with the free LA version, and just purchase the books and 'extras.' As much as the paper and printing quality is better - I think not having it bound like this, would make it a lot easier for my kids to write in the book.

    I do like the individual books rather than a huge reader! My kids will like that too. That separate art watercolor book looks great too! That New Concept bubble was so needed! I'm guessing the lesson book prompts you when to do the art work?

    I waited for so long for this one!! Don’t even care that my now 5th grader will continue with it into 6th (until he finishes). By that time, hopefully new level 6 will be available!
    New one is gorgeous and SO streamlined!

  • @heathercates919
    @heathercates919 Před 2 lety +1

    I definitely like the new, colorful organized layout. I also really like the answer key being separate. I don't even mind that the new editions are grade level and not advanced. But with that I really hope they consider making a Level 8 and not force people to use book studies as a course for 8th grade. Tsmfs.

  • @lilliannaandcourtneystudio1951

    • @ginamcgrew9955
      @ginamcgrew9955 Před 2 lety +2

      @@lydiazook4615 Yes, basically the things I loved about the curriculum ( beautiful artwork, multiple subjects in the same workbook) were the problem. She has ADD and dyslexia. She finds all the visuals, and multiple subjects together, overwhelming. My little one doesn't seem to have those learning challenges at this point and enjoyed the pre k curriculum. I wish it had worked for my daughter, but you have to use what works for each specific child. And that's one of the blessings of homeschooling!!

    Since you have used it through high school, does it ever deviate from teaching about Europe? I’ve been using it since level k and currently in level 4. They learned about North America briefly but there is a noticeable trend towards Europe.

Do the LA coordinate with grade levels mostly? We haven’t done their LA. Do we need to buy their readers with the LA or are we able to use ones we choose?
