Dimash is becoming really well known. He has performed in several countries. He has performed for UNICEF and for different presidents. Today, he just performed in the opening for the European Games in Minsk 🇧🇾! Unbelievable performance! Hopefully he will be invited to sing in the next Olympic Games! 😍
Very lovely reaction, Becky! Now you know why there are millions of Dears in the world! In case no one told you, on the Singer competion, each competitor had one week to learn a new song. Dimash only spoke basic English so all the English he had to learn phonetically and the song you just reviewed, Autumn Strong, he learned the words in Mandarin in only a week. The older woman dancing down the hall during Uptown Funk is one of the other competitors. In fact, all the people you see in the back room are either competitors or their musical partners.
Thank you for more Dimash! He is not fluent in 12 languages but sings in 12. He is fluent in both Kazakh and Russian and is studying both Mandarin and English. Dimash was 22 during the singer 2017 episodes and he has recently performed " Love Is Like a Dream" at the age of 25 and as hard as it is to believe he has only gotten better with maturity. He is by far the best in the world.

Dimash was tricked into signing up as he specifically asked if there were children competing and they said no. So as an honorable man he did the right thing. He is university trained in classical as well as in contemporary music and is known for his wide vocal range of 6 octaves, from D2 to D8 (whistle register), his voice has magical property. Noone can do that octavs in alive. Also He sings in 12 languages. And plus that he is very kind and humble man.

All the contestants were established artists, Dimash was invited as a wild card contestant after he performed in Kazakhstan for the Chinese President, he was the only non Chinese speaking, and also the youngest ever contestant at 22 in 2017. He finished 2nd but it was political as they gave the no 1 place to a Chinese woman singer who was very good but not Dimash level. He was totally unknown and after the first round with him singing S.O.S. was broadcast on tv, they gave him bodyguards, he had become an overnight superstar in China. Welcome to the world of Dimash. I didn't comment on your first reaction, but I will add a little info. Dimash was unknown outside of Kazakhstan before Singer 2017. He was chosen as a wildcard to compete against some of China's best singers, which is why he performed first. His rendition of SOS blew everyone away, and he became an overnight sensation in China. As videos of his performances covered the world, so did his popularity. He was the first runner up in Singer 2017. He began doing large venues in Kazakhstan, China, and Russia, and was invited as a guest performer for Singer 2018 where he sang Lionel Richie's "Hello". He also performed in London last year. He competed on CBS's The World's Best, and was highly favored to win, but left due to having to compete against children, which is against his cultural belief. He is also now working closely with maestro Igor Krutoy, a Russian composer, and will accompany Igor for his concert in New York later this year. Krutoy wrote Love is Like a Dream 25 years ago, the same year Dimash was born. He chose Dimash to resurrect this beautiful song, and the pair created a masterpiece. Dimash was amazing and clearly one of the best in 2017, but became a even better singer in 2018 and this year he showed a even more amazing level. Dimash will gives everything in concert. The first song you watched today was in Mandarin which he sang for the first time not knowing the language with full emotions. Incredible. Today you reacted to ep 4, 5 and 6. The people in backstage are all contestants and their managers and that lady too is a contestant. As it is show for professional and famous singers, are contestants age no bar and Dimash was the youngest (22 that year) contestant till date for the show. The judges are the same 500 members of studio audiences for whole season. Dimash was unknown in China and was wildcard invitation as he was famous in his part of the world but after first episode singing SOS made him a worldwide sensation overnight. He got first place trophy in episodes1, 2 and 6.

Sos was the 1st episode of Singer Show for him. Autumn Strong was the 4th week or 4th episode. This was the first song in Mandarin he ever sang ! And is in my top5 Dimash songs! Uptown Funk he showed his fun side. Adagio is also in my top 5. It’s a very hard song to sing and he slayed it, as usual! He IS amazing. Be sure to listen to Daididau which was episode 6 or 7. You are a Dear! He named us fans Dears! He really loves and appreciates his fans so much!
His song, Love is a Dream is not to be missed. On CZcams are his concerts one in Bastau, he performed at a musical festival Gakku. There are a few more. He did a concert in London and also this year in Moscow, two shows. He is having another concert in June. There are rumors that he will perform on 10/23/19 at Madison Square Garden. Gloria Wu has a channel which has quite a lot of Dimash material with English subtitles: backstage stuff, interviews, TV appearances, stuff from his childhood, an interview with his Mom, etc. Perhaps it will interest you? As I understand it (from a great distance), a couple years ago Dimash was a freshly-minted music school grad with some fame in Kazakhstan, having been a prodigy during his boyhood and no stranger to public appearances. He was virtually unknown outside of his own country, however. Finished with school, he jumped directly into entering contests, touring and offering concerts and appearances. He gained fame quickly. In 2017, he went to 'I am Singer' or 'The Singer' (imprecise translations), a Chinese talent show which differs from 'The Voice,' 'X-Factor' and similar shows in that it allows singers to present entire songs, not 2-minute cut-down snippets. That's important, because if Dimash can be said to have a particular style, it's that he likes to use drama and suspense, and he can't do that in a 2-minute segment. Dimash did not win the Chinese show (you will hear contradictory statements from time to time). But he won the audience, and his performances have gone viral on the internet, largely because the IP rights holder for the show doesn't seem to be interested in enforcing copyrights on CZcams. He has been busy ever since, offering concerts in China, Russia, London, and elsewhere, TV appearances, and even a brief stint on CBS' World's Best competition - the last of which suited Dimash very badly. World's Best forced him for the first time to cut down his songs to 2 minutes. It was sheer mutilation. Then they followed up each performance with the most inane noises you can imagine coming out of the mouths of severely underqualified judges. Horrible. To top it off, World's Best promised Dimash he would not have to compete against children. They lied to him. Dimash eventually withdrew from the competition for CBS having broken faith with him - which led to even nuttier, more inane remarks from the underqualified judges. Honestly, it was a PR disaster... For CBS, not for Dimash. He came out of it looking like a man of principle. But reacting to the CBS fiasco will put your channel in danger. Unlike IP rights holders in Russia, Kazakhstan and China, CBS enforces its IP viciously with CZcams take-downs, strikes and banning. Best to ignore the entire affair and stick to material that Dimash and his backers *want* to go viral. Songs from Dimash's concerts performed after the Chinese 'I am Singer' show are readily available on CZcams. A couple of the songs on offer, not sung at the Chinese talent show, are 'Love Is Like a Dream' and 'Sinful Passion.' Both are simply incredible performances. Your ears are due for a treat. Dimash is still maturing his art, and thinks of what he is doing as 'experimental' - discovering the best way to use his mastery of techniques and range to please audiences. I'm old. I've heard a lot of singers over the years. Dimash stands out, not merely for his range, but also for his precise vocal control and his mastery of so many different vocal techniques from classical opera, pop, RnB and his own culture. There's nothing he does that some other singer can't also do, but no one singer can do *all* of what he can do. And so his song presentations are often quite unique. Not everyone in my generation is on board with Dimash (my old college roommate doesn't like him, and his wife called him 'schmaltzy'), but I beg to differ. I think Dimash is a once-in-a-century kind of talent.
Actually on The World's Best, Dimash sang the full songs for the judges and the studio audience. The tv audience got to see the heavily edited version. We got ripped off!

Reacting to Dimash is always a win situation for the reactor. He has 10's of millions of fans which he calls his "Dears." There is only one other group which has maybe as many fans today and that is the TNT Boys from the Philippines. May I suggest trying their cover of Listen shown on, "Little Big Shots UK and their TNTV of Flashlight. They also stared in a singing competition in 2018 called "Your Face Sounds Familiar, Kids. The try in impersonate famous singers or groups, by dressing as them, movements like them and sounding like them. There are 16 episodes of TNT Boys YFSF K. they are very very good. I would love to see you do another "All performances," as you did with Dimash in the Chinese Singer."

That song is not the end, in fact he is not singing that one on singer 2017.You should keep listening to all the songs he sang on the singer then go to others to keep a clean and chronological order of things to see how he evolved from past to present.By the way, my favorite song is his national song Daididau!He invites his own ,,mini orchestra,, from his home country and plays different national instruments and i can t speak about the song itself how beautiful it is,even more when you hear the story behind the song(about the composer)!

Welcome to the world of Dimash. I didn't comment on your first reaction, but I will add a little info. Dimash was unknown outside of Kazakhstan before Singer 2017. He was chosen as a wildcard to compete against some of China's best singers, which is why he performed first. His rendition of SOS blew everyone away, and he became an overnight sensation in China. As videos of his performances covered the world, so did his popularity. He was the first runner up in Singer 2017. He began doing large venues in Kazakhstan, China, and Russia, and was invited as a guest performer for Singer 2018 where he sang Lionel Richie's "Hello". He also performed in London last year. He competed on CBS's The World's Best, and was highly favored to win, but left due to having to compete against children, which is against his cultural belief. He is also now working closely with maestro Igor Krutoy, a Russian composer, and will accompany Igor for his concert in New York later this year. Krutoy wrote Love is Like a Dream 25 years ago, the same year Dimash was born. He chose Dimash to resurrect this beautiful song, and the pair created a masterpiece. Thanks for more Dimash. THe channel of Gloria Wu has English subs if you need them and almost every other song also. If you can't find them just ask. Dimash was amazing and clearly one of the best in 2017, but became a even better singer in 2018 and this year he showed a even more amazing level. Dimash will gives everything in concert. And not only with his songs but he also with the audience, and he also love some jokes so his concerts are never boring. If you have the time, money i strongly advice to go. Dimash said that he cares abouth his fans and that they are like family to him so that's why he calls them and they are know as "dears".

The first song you watched today was in Mandarin which he sang for the first time not knowing the language with full emotions. Incredible. Today you reacted to ep 4, 5 and 6. The people in backstage are all contestants and their managers and that lady too is a contestant. As it is show for professional and famous singers, are contestants age no bar and Dimash was the youngest (22 that year) contestant till date for the show. The judges are the same 500 members of studio audiences for whole season. Dimash was unknown in China and was wildcard invitation as he was famous in his part of the world but after first episode singing SOS made him a worldwide sensation overnight. He got first place trophy in episodes1, 2 and 6.

Sos was the 1st episode of Singer Show for him. Autumn Strong was the 4th week or 4th episode. This was the first song in Mandarin he ever sang ! And is in my top5 Dimash songs! Uptown Funk he showed his fun side. Adagio is also in my top 5. It’s a very hard song to sing and he slayed it, as usual! He IS amazing. Be sure to listen to Daididau which was episode 6 or 7. You are a Dear! He named us fans Dears! He really loves and appreciates his fans so much!

His song, Love is a Dream is not to be missed. On CZcams are his concerts one in Bastau, he performed at a musical festival Gakku. There are a few more. He did a concert in London and also this year in Moscow, two shows. He is having another concert in June. There are rumors that he will perform on 10/23/19 at Madison Square Garden. Just waiting for it to be confirmed. Great reactions.

Gloria Wu has a channel which has quite a lot of Dimash material with English subtitles: backstage stuff, interviews, TV appearances, stuff from his childhood, an interview with his Mom, etc. Perhaps it will interest you?
As I understand it (from a great distance), a couple years ago Dimash was a freshly-minted music school grad with some fame in Kazakhstan, having been a prodigy during his boyhood and no stranger to public appearances. He was virtually unknown outside of his own country, however. Finished with school, he jumped directly into entering contests, touring and offering concerts and appearances. He gained fame quickly. In 2017, he went to 'I am Singer' or 'The Singer' (imprecise translations), a Chinese talent show which differs from 'The Voice,' 'X-Factor' and similar shows in that it allows singers to present entire songs, not 2-minute cut-down snippets. That's important, because if Dimash can be said to have a particular style, it's that he likes to use drama and suspense, and he can't do that in a 2-minute segment.
Dimash did not win the Chinese show (you will hear contradictory statements from time to time). But he won the audience, and his performances have gone viral on the internet, largely because the IP rights holder for the show doesn't seem to be interested in enforcing copyrights on CZcams.
He has been busy ever since, offering concerts in China, Russia, London, and elsewhere, TV appearances, and even a brief stint on CBS' World's Best competition - the last of which suited Dimash very badly.
World's Best forced him for the first time to cut down his songs to 2 minutes. It was sheer mutilation. Then they followed up each performance with the most inane noises you can imagine coming out of the mouths of severely underqualified judges. Horrible. To top it off, World's Best promised Dimash he would not have to compete against children. They lied to him. Dimash eventually withdrew from the competition for CBS having broken faith with him - which led to even nuttier, more inane remarks from the underqualified judges. Honestly, it was a PR disaster...
For CBS, not for Dimash. He came out of it looking like a man of principle.
But reacting to the CBS fiasco will put your channel in danger. Unlike IP rights holders in Russia, Kazakhstan and China, CBS enforces its IP viciously with CZcams take-downs, strikes and banning. Best to ignore the entire affair and stick to material that Dimash and his backers *want* to go viral.
Songs from Dimash's concerts performed after the Chinese 'I am Singer' show are readily available on CZcams. A couple of the songs on offer, not sung at the Chinese talent show, are 'Love Is Like a Dream' and 'Sinful Passion.' Both are simply incredible performances. Your ears are due for a treat.
Dimash is still maturing his art, and thinks of what he is doing as 'experimental' - discovering the best way to use his mastery of techniques and range to please audiences.
I'm old. I've heard a lot of singers over the years. Dimash stands out, not merely for his range, but also for his precise vocal control and his mastery of so many different vocal techniques from classical opera, pop, RnB and his own culture. There's nothing he does that some other singer can't also do, but no one singer can do *all* of what he can do. And so his song presentations are often quite unique.
Not everyone in my generation is on board with Dimash (my old college roommate doesn't like him, and his wife called him 'schmaltzy'), but I beg to differ. I think Dimash is a once-in-a-century kind of talent.
Actually on The World's Best, Dimash sang the full songs for the judges and the studio audience. The tv audience got to see the heavily edited version. We got ripped off!

Dimash's voice has got better if that's even possible !! ( to me it is his best performance to date but I say that about most of his songs ! ) But it's also good that you complete this show - it's almost like the evolution of Dimash and his voice ! Reacting to Dimash is always a win situation for the reactor. He has 10's of millions of fans which he calls his "Dears."
There is only one other group which has maybe as many fans today and that is the TNT Boys from the Philippines. May I suggest trying their cover of Listen shown on, "Little Big Shots UK and their TNTV of Flashlight.
They also stared in a singing competition in 2018 called "Your Face Sounds Familiar, Kids. The try in impersonate famous singers or groups, by dressing as them, movements like them and sounding like them. There are 16 episodes of TNT Boys YFSF K. they are very very good.
