As a film maker who aspires to satire, dark humor, and speaking truth to power in my work, UK Grim is a prime example of what I love. A great meeting of the minds of Sleaford Mods and Cold War Steve. Thanks guys so much for this!
About 15 years ago Sting released two albums dedicated to work of 16/17th century composer and lute player John Dowland, hence thos photos of him with a lute. But here's interesting part - about 95% of lute playing on those two albums was performed by Bosnian lute player Edin Karamazov.
Interesting fact. Sting also played private exclusive concert for Microsoft execs in Davos this year, on the evening before the company sacked 10k people.

I found it hard to forgive Sting when he flew over here from somewhere sunny in the US, to tell us that we shouldn't go anywhere sunny, as it was producing too much CO2. Why can't these people see their hypocrisy? I'm all for saving the planet, but Sting could set an example, instead of insulting my intelligence.

Yo Andrew and Jason, that their dodgem? Have you moved to Nottingham on Sea aka Mablethorpe. The reason I ask, I live near Mablethorpe and when I go there it is full of senior people on those mobility scooters and looks like the dodgems have escaped from the fun fair.
I think Sting's instrument is a saz, a Turkish instrument, which when not in the hands of a bell-end is a beautiful thing. Fucking banger of a track though, and terrific dissection fellas, big love

Coincidentally, it was the first thing I thought, perhaps through my own warped perception, but I titled this video, a conversation with some modernists. Perhaps that is what being a mod is. Originally expressed through perceptual, cutting-edge clothing and tight, minimalist, musical beats, and a reaction against the going. A reaction against orthodoxy, and homogeneity not for its own sake, but for the betterment of all.
