Thanks for the kind words about my grandads, we all owe a great debt to those who came before us. Nice food, but insane to queue for 90 mins to get into a farm shop when everyone has them close to hand these days.

On the other hand when I can buy EXACTLY what you payed for a sausage sandwich for €4 it’s a no brainer 😂 and as usual you’re right. Brown sauce is the only man. 👍
Sounds like your Dad was quite the man - I couldn't have done what those guys did at the age of 18/19 ! Agreed on Brown Sauce - anything else is just not right (well, I will have mustard on a sausage sandwich I guess!)

@@philipmckeon8944 Philip, like yours, my dad landed on the Normandy beaches and was 19. I'm pretty sure I could not have done it. He was a very young captain. My wife and I have a cottage in Normandy. One day we were out for a walk with dad and he said, "I know where we are. We were patrolling and met a lone private who said he had had enough and wanted to go home."
Pointing down the road, dad told him to walk for a mile, turn right and he would hit the beaches after an hour or two.

Important that we remember those who came before us and helped shape the life we lead.
So nice of you to honor your granddads. I really enjoy it when family is mentioned and a sweet story is told. I don’t know if your meal was worth the price but it looked really delicious. I know I would never wait so long in line for any meal and then not find a place to sit to boot.
I wouldn’t recommend making a special trip to visit, much better to find a farm shop closer to home and support them!

Good on you - the local farmers all around the country deserve support from those who can. Did your Dad really build that trailer? In fairness it looked pretty premium, as catering vans go :-)
A great tribute to your granddads, I think every family in the UK must have had family who did something for the war effort. Respect to them all, from an Ex RN
We should never forget the sacrifices so many made to give us the world we live in today. Not just those that never made it back from war, but those that had to live with the memories of what they had seen.

Exactly!! Everyone’s hating Jeremy for being rich but they clearly haven’t ever laughed at any of the boys decades of comedy they provided on Top Gear and now The Grand Tour which is sadly ending but still it’s worth it just to go take a selfie!
@@adrenazanetti3660 have to be honest, I was never a huge fan of Top Gear (with them or since). And never watched the Grand Tour either 🙂 Don't mind a bit of Who Wants to be a Millionaire though 🤣
Jeremy Clarkson is a legend tho says it how it is! I brought a box of cheese an onion crisps from he's website and lasted me a long time tasty aswell 😋 he's down to earth and stands up for the farmers good man
Yes, I do understand he is highlighting issues which are important to the farming community, which can only be a good thing!

I can't believe how busy it was, incredible. I think for a treat the prices were just about OK, Cotswolds is expensive. The sausage bap was the better value as you say. I guess with the shop, maybe they don't sell the sausages and burger sauce elsewhere, who knows. An hour to get in seems crazy. Nice touch remembering D Day.
Yeah, the prices are definitely treat prices, but not having anywhere to sit and those queues make it feel like less of a treat. Thanks for noticing and commenting on the D-Day bit, important to remember those that came before you!

Yep, it's great if he is highlighting some of the issues facing the farming community. But I hope that the people who travelled to queue for 90 mins to get into the little farm shop will also support the ones nearer to their homes too.

JC's a legend and gets my vote all day long but not sure I want to contribute towards his next million with this enterprise.
Cutting sausages in half reduces the cooking time and puts more money through the till in half the time but dries out the sausage but people fall for it and are happy paying £7.50 for two sausages badly cooked ?
£15 for a burger with no fries ?
I don't mind parting with my money as we're only here once but I'd rather give it to a farm shop café offering a Full English for the same price as that burger , they probably need it more than these guys as well 😁

To be fair - beef is more expensive than pork. I love the Clarkson's Farm show. So interesting how hard farming is. You def need to watch it. It's brilliant.
Living in Dorset I have met and know a number of farmers, so I appreciate what a tough life they have, working crazy hours and often for not much reward. But a few people have said I should watch, so maybe I'll give it a go !
@@GreenoEats I live in Devon and most of the farmers near me are a pain in the ****. 😂 However, I don't let that get in the way of appreciating their work. Def give it a try - my hubby told me to try it and I was hooked. It's incredibly watchable.

Made a point of visiting the farm on our way to Cornwall on the 14th June, got there late but managed to get a spot in the campsite next door and stayed the night so we could get to the front of the queue in the morning and have a munch. Have to say, the food was excellent, rained most of the time we were there but it was most enjoyable.
Glad you enjoyed it. Did you know exactly what was there beforehand, maybe that was my mistake not having watched the show, I expected there to be a bit more there.
@@GreenoEats not really, didn’t expect too much tbh, the missus wanted to go there and it was kind of on our way, met and spoke to a few fellow visitors who were all very nice. Some people had driven a fair way and I suppose you have to be a fan of Jeremy and the show to get something out of it. I’m glad we went, made my mark on the wall as have so many others.
Absolutely or at least researched the history of what they had to go through as many farmers do etc changing the laws and codes that helped farmers everywhere
Lovely tribute to your Grandad’s amazing service to the country and well said about supporting local farmers. I think they should take Jeremy’s idea on board and get a local brewery involved and hype it up a bit with hot food on the go

Yep, just like Rick Stein's last week there's definitely a touch of "celebrity tax" on the pricing. And you're right, people who prefer ketchup on their sausage bap are a danger to society haha !!
Thanks for the review. I could do that journey. In a day and back. But fact it's so busy , puts me off. Maybe be better in the deep winter. Plenty of other places. Costly for a lunch.
Yeah, I would recommend finding a good farm shop and cafe nearer to you. Less queueing, and supporting your local community.

Thanks for the kind words, and for watching all the way from the Netherlands. I think we all need to support our local farmers, the supermarkets squeeze them so hard. Without our farmers what would we do !
A lot of stuff also comes from nearby farms. O he very much supports local farmers around himself. It’s a good watch, educational, entertaining and some really emotional parts. But for the better part he’s helped change laws.
I'm glad to hear he's partnering with other local farmers to help supply his venture. Hopefully he's fair to them pricewise :-) - anyone who can use their platform to improve lives should be applauded too.
😂🤣 ok you need to research the stores history etc because after this comment it’s clear you have no info on how it came about or why or the fight it took etc ALL so local farmers could sell their products and laws could be changed to help local farmers etc etc etc and the out of pocket money they spent fighting stupid city counsels etc THEY PAID FOR IT THEMSELVES HUNDREDS UPON HUNDREDS IF THOUSANDS OF POUNDS FOR THEIR LAWYERS ETC which I know isn’t east to grasp by a lot of people who have never done more than a 9 to5 and couch surf till bed 😂🤣😂
It’s funny brown sauce on a sausage bap,defo my go to sauce. However same type of sausage in a hotdog requires mustard and ketchup

Hi Greeno, so good to hear your tribute to your grandads service for the nations freedom. Lovely food, expensive burger I would not have waited in line for such a time to pay for a burger were I had to stand to eat it lol.
Bearing in mind I went on a weekday, and not in the school holidays I expected at least to have a place to sit to eat ! As for my Grandads, I am grateful to them both for their service and much more besides!

Hey Gary - can't knock the quality of the produce, but the price is top dollar for what it is. I also think people visiting to queue for 90 mins to get into a farm shop need to think about whether they could save themselves some time by going to their more local farm shop and supporting farmers in their own area :-)

Yeah, I can't say that I would recommend it unless you happen to be passing - definitely not worth a special journey. If you want good farm shop producethen much easier to find a good farm shop near you that isn't on the telly :-)

It sertainly was steep, and a shame you couldn't actually discern the taste of the beef in it. It's th kind of burger you might expect to pay a tenner for at a food festival, so definitely a bit of a celebrity tax going on. I appreciate your kind words!

It was tasty, although the beef patty was lost in the burger. The sausage sandwich was better certainly.
Jesus, those prices..... 😬 The brioche buns were a bit too caught at the edges for my liking too.
At least the slightly excessive "charring" helped with the structural integrity. Brioche buns are basically sawdust normally !

Yeah, it did look a bit funny. I think they must have been sent up to keep an eye on the traffic/parking situation, and took a few minutes while they were up there
Being autistic gary I love the way you easy your way into each video 📹 you explain everything so calm and collective, when you see the food you explain how it's exactly how its presented on the plate then once you start eating the products you tell us the texture etc! I did enjoy enjoy, although I think the burger was overpriced. I also think people might be better served using other farm shops to support other farmers rather than queuing 90 minutes to line Jeremy’s pocket 🙂

Top review Greeno. I wouldn't mind going to Diddly squat, but I have better things to do than queue for hours and it's morally better to support another local farm shop. However, Clarkson is great in the fact he sells other local farmers produce in his 'cash cow' of a shop.
I wonder how much mark up he makes on those local products... but as you say I would think it better to support your local farm shop.
@@GreenoEats I would like to think he passes the GP on or covers the minimal selling costs and then passes the GP on. I don't know him, but he seems a logical and fair chap from my viewing of him.

14 quid for a burger isn't that bad given where you are and it did look very tasty (although the gherkin would be kicked to the kerb).
The Sausage sandwich, would have been better with a fried egg on top (personal choice).
I'm glad to see it so busy, because the shop supports other local farmers as well as all the produce he sells has to come from the local area.
Yeah, I do understand he is helping other local farmers by using their product, so that’s good. I just hope that the people queuing for 90 mins to get into the shoo are also inspired to use their own local farm shops that aren’t in the telly 🙂
@@GreenoEats The problem is all local farm shops in my experience (living for many years in Devon) tend to be more expensive than Tesco's for instance. So, more for specialist produce or hard to get items.

Yep, can't beat a bit of brown on your breakfast. Like Rick Stein's place you are definitely paying a celerity tax here. And I am sure he's doing well out of it (hopefully not to the detriment of other farmers in the area)

You would enjoy Clarksons farm and learn about what goes into what he’s selling. And how difficult it is for farmers. He’s done a lot for farmers with the use of his tv show on Amazon. Love or hate him, he highlighting how little they make to bring food to our tables. No farmers no food
I agree with that sentiment 100%. Don't forget, I am based in rural Dorset, so know how hard the farmers work and often for not great return. I just hope thatall those folks queuing for 90 mins to get into his shop also support their local farm shops and farmers too, not just line Clarkson's pockets. I might give the show a go :-)

Yes, they did have a mushroom and goats cheese burger on themenu, and a granola pot thing for breakfast (also a fried egg roll if that's allowed) - nothing for vegans, but then I wouldn't neccesarily imagine Clarkson catering to a vegan diet somehow!
Looks nice, but I agree, go to other local farmers who need the business. That sausage sandwich looked great and worth the money I think. The burger looked nice but not worth the money on it's own, if it came with fries, I think it would have been value for money. Nice vid as usual Greeno, thank you.

HOW MUCH, i wouldn't pay a tenner for both. Find a burger van close by and get a breakfast baguette for about a fiver. All the idiots that go there and pay them prices are just being ripped off big time.
Yep, crazy money. As I pointed out in the video, I am all for supporting local producers. So find one close to home and support them rather than driving to Clarkson's gaff and queuing for ages!

It's just cos it's been on the telly. As you say, I went to film, and wouldn't have bothered otherwise. I wouldn't return let's put it that way. I hope that all the people in those queues also pop into their local farm shops and support them.

@@GreenoEats yeah, really too expensive. I prefer a good homemade burger 🍔 We have had 4 days in Slovenia,it was beautiful and sunny, than the rain came again, with floodings and storms, too bad. We came home again early. This summer holiday was out of this world. Next time hopefully more luck ;)

The food was good, but at the top end of acceptable prices. Strange to see people queue 90 mins to get into a shop, last time I saw that was 1980s Soviet Union ha ha!

They were real coppers - I think they were passing by just for a bit of crowd control, but then stopped for lunch and took their photos !

It's just a small farm shop, a bar in a barn and a burger van. Definitely not worth travelling to in my opinion.
I’ve been there and what great food I’d definitely go back again don’t care what the price is fantastic food 10+ all day long I’ve been to other farm shops let tell you clarksons Is far much better buy a long shot
Well I am glad you liked it - I thought the food was decent but high on the price side. As for the site, well it's not something worth driving to for a 90 minute queue in my opinion.

@@GreenoEatsI’m not a massive fan of clarkson. But he’s using his name to get public attention. No farmers no food. A lot of the younger generation don’t understand that. With the current world agenda, his show, shows a little of the truth of the issues for food security we face! A cow and a pig had to die for you to eat there. How cheap do folk want food? This is regenerative farming, the way farming should be done.

It's a bit bonkers isn't it... visit your local farm shop and get the good produce there is my advice. No point in a 90 minute queue just to get bacon with a celebrity endorsement !

I wouldn't recommend you flying over to visit this place pal - the produce was tasty enough, but there is nothing of note to see there, and the prices are certainly top end.
its is a bit much for 2 sausages in a bun. for £7 so £3 a sausage and a £1.50 for the bun and sauce
now £14 for a burger is madness.
spending £21.50 for 2 items when you can get a full meal for that price.
why the hell would you que to buy over priced items in the farm shop....
Well I didn't queue to go in the farm shop. Would rather visit the ones in my local area and support those farmers :-)

It's really at the top end of acceptability on price isn't it. And I hope I made fairly clear in the video that if you want to support the farming industry there are probably better ways of doing it than queuing for 90 mins to make Jeremy Clarkson richer!

Estes Park Colorado, Airports in USA, etc Hawaii, lots of places, Sicily my home, london etc etc etc don’t hate cuz a guy has the ingenuity to make money all the while providing DECADES of pleasure laughs and entertainment to the ENTIRE world! Hence the speedy service. When you're told the cost of the burger. Can you phone a friend? Ask the audience? It's OK to make a profit, but that comes close to profittering. Thanks for the comment about my grandads - we should all be grateful for what our forefathers went through to get us where we are today. It was certainly on the pricey side, and to be honest I can't see what the fuss is about, it's just a farm shop, a bar in a barn and a burger van. Decent produce, but why people are driving there and queueing is beyond me (says the bloke who drove 3 hours to get there ha ha!)

I think they came for a bit of crowd control and then just decided to stop for lunch there ! I agree that the taking of photos by them didn't look great mind !

Pricing certainly at the top end of acceptability… but I would have to say it’s not a place worth visiting unless you’re gonna try the food, because aside from that it’s just a small farmshop. Better to visit a farmshop in your local area and support your local farmers.
