Power Folding Mirror Install | BMW e46

  • This video is about installing memory power folding mirrors on a 2002 BMW e46 330ci. I recommend trying to source these parts used from sites such as eBay. Remember to get the right mirrors for your car either LHD or RHD. THESE PARTS ARE NOT INTERCHANGEABLE. My car originally came with 9 wire 12 pin connectors for the mirrors and now the new power folding ones have 11 wires 12 pin. Make sure you get the 11 wire 12 pin ones if you have memory and power seats.

Gentle action, never pull forcefully. Remember some panels need to be pulled upwards rather than out. If you need to force it, you’re probably doing it wrong.

Just curious, why didn't you go with auto dimming mirrors? I have them now, but my drivers side door mirror failed blacked out, and the previous owner glued a much smaller piece of glass over it. Seems you can't change just the glass if you have auto dimming mirrors. I'm thinking of getting exactly what you got in this video, but I'm just curious, since you mentioned before you want every option, why did you skip the auto dimming feature?
