Disney's Animal Kingdom - Memorial Day 2024! FAVORITE Rides, Low Crowds & Lucky Safari!

- Join me as we spend Memorial Day 2024 at Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom theme park for a fun day enjoying my FAVORITE & BEST RIDES and seeing lots of wonderful animals! We got very lucky with amazingly low crowds, good luck with Genie+ getting Lightning Lanes, and seeing so many amazing animals very active on the Safari and trails! From boat rides to roller coasters to trips back to the Cretaceous period, it's always fun at Animal Kingdom! So many unique opportunities to meet animals and enjoy rides, including Na'vi River Journey in Pandora, Dinosaur in DinoLand USA, Expedition Everest and Kilimanjaro Safaris, top notch theming and special atmosphere that is exclusive to this park! Even in a heat wave, there are ways to stay cool and keep rockin! We'll check out the Memorial Day holiday crowds, summer merchandise in the shops, and more! Let's try to stay cool and have fun on a blazing hot day as we kick off the summer in Florida!

Yaaaaaasss preach the gospel of Na'vi River Journey! 😁 It gets so often overshadowed by FOP (and we love Flight, too, don't get me wrong) but Na'vi is by far one of the best and most zen attractions in the whole of WDW. We never skip it! Looked like an amazing day to be out in Animal Kingdom, despite the heat....the critters on your safari sure didn't seem to mind! 🦏🦁🦇✨
Loved seeing the painted dogs in the water because of the heat too!!! They said they hardly ever do that!

Was fun to watch your video, I was there at the beginning of May. I enjoy the shows there and Lion King was great and the bird show and loved Its a Bugs Life. I get motion sick fairly easy so I go for the easy stuff.

Thank u Jessica! One of my internet pet peeves is people making their opinion as if it’s fact. Who is to tell other people what is “worth it” or not? If people listen to them, they could miss out on something they may love!! I always say sure reviews are helpful, but always try things yourself and form your own opinion. It’s totally worth it in my opinion, but the standby line can be brutal so a lighting lane helps a lot. 💜💜💜

Well, we certainly have crowds here, or least did this weekend, the beginning of our tourist season! I really hope to see that park some day. I guess my daughter will have to represent us until then when she goes late this year. Sometime in the next 20 years or so we're supposed to get a Pandora at Disneyland...but I don't even want to think how old I'll be then 😵💫 Love you guys!

Animal Kingdom is the most peaceful park in my opinion it's not too hectic and Navi river journey is absolutely fantastic especially the theming the heat doesnt really bother me though.
Same at Disneyland monday it wasn't very crowded like it usually is which we were surprised

Disney springs was definitely less crowded than we thought it would be too. Summer house on the lake is such a great place to eat

I can definitely see you are a Floridian in these videos, if it was me I would look like if a melting ice cream cone was a person 😂 I went to Orlando in January and I was sweating some days! Would like to get down there and check out Dinosaur before it’s time is up, but I think I’ll wait for fall or winter so my New Englander body can tolerate it

I loved this one, Jackie, as I am an avid animal lover and especially enjoyed the gift shop with a quick look around accompanied by an uplifting soundtrack. It's much more fun than showcasing new items individually with a talking head, which everyone else seems to do. Thank you for refreshing my memory about the glow-in-the-dark markings on the ground. I have a pair of sneakers with the Avatar branding with glowing markings. I didn't know why they did that, but now it makes perfect sense.
Trying to work here and your cute self pops up. Yellow is your color..or one of them along with the pigtails(or ponytails? I get them confused). Anyway I agree on the pandora river ride as one of the best. I suppose having AC helps but it so pretty. I've always been a sucker for the indoor river rides. Kings Island had a Hanna Barbara one when I was a kid and loved it. Appreciate the frequent updates. If I go a few days I start thining 'ok..where is she!'

I rode Na’vi river journey for the first time this passed weekend and I loved it. The Shaman of Songs animatronic was so impressive 😍

AK is my favorite park. I just love all the greenery. I think my favorite ride is flight of passage but I love Navi river journey. Everest is always fun too. 😊the safari is a must do also. I was just there a month ago for my trip I miss DAK love the park and the safari and boat ride and went to the Asian jungle trek for the first time and forgot about the golden girls name for the water buffalo
When we went in March, the water buffalo were being so cute and crazy!! But the girls said, May is toooooo hot!

We are so tempted to do a quick trip in July and of course try to ride Tiana. However I keep hearing how hot it is!! I notoriously come down with the “Disney” rash. Not sure how I can avoid that in the intense heat. 🤷♀️

Yes, we know. Originally it was going to be weekly then monthly. We love the pod and check all the time for new episodes. They are always awesome and can’t wait for more. There was no announcement if they cancelled it and it’s still on all the pod feeders so we assume it’s an active pod.

Yes the high rides aren't for everyone and that's ok :) There are so many different types of rides to choose from! Nice slower ones like Navi River Journey!

I have never seen it before
You have to go to the left when you first enter, then look to the right before you get to the Tree of Life :) It's a small cave with benches and waterfalls behind it, and there's a small rope bridge that's kind of hidden. It's my spot!!

Sam was just telling me about this and it's shocking to me!! JULY!!!! Growing up we got out of school in late May or early June at the latest, and were back in school late August. June and July are pure summer vacation months to me because of that. I guess part of it is it takes longer to get warm in the UK so it makes sense to wait a bit.
