Jellal is literally trying to nuke Jura. Imagine firing a whole giant meatball... I mean, Meteor down from the sky that could destroy the whole stadium.
So yeah, understandable that Ultear had to stop him. Not just to stop Jellal from blowing his cover but to stop a genocide.
If Jellal had use that spell in addition to the defeat of Jura we would have seen a genocide 😅 also they would have discovered him and he would have been imprisoned again
Yeah coz that spell could had destroyed the entire arena and everyone in there would die. Except those with strong magic that can protect them but lucky they had Ultear to stop him in time.

Come on give Jellal some credit. There's no way he'd have tried to use that spell if he wasn't fully confident in his ability to keep the damage limited to just the arena. He's no psycho who forgets who else might be caught up in the area of effect and he's no psycho who doesn't care about the audience's lives either.

This is the second spell he didn't use. The last one was Abyss Break in the tower of Heaven.

I remember watching this and dying of second hand embarassment for Jellal xD Also i was SO SAD the spell was interrupted since i really wanted to see it! Jellal is my favourite Character in Fairy Tail but he doesnt get that much screentime to show ho powerful he really is >.

@sarahbosch9660 Yes exactly my Point! He is VERY underrated, barely anyone's Favorite and I have no clue why. In the Heaven Tower he was obviously not himself at all, he was literally possessed and yet he still feels extremely guilty even tho he had no control of himself and his actions. Plus his Story with Erza is amazing. Not to mention how powerful his magic is and he is very smart, also he looks very good. That's why he's my fave and I also really hope to see more of him in the 100 Years Quest! and I heard our wishes in that regard will come true :)

Anyway if you see Jellal's magic circle everytime he uses his spell really similar to Lucy's when she chant Urano Metria...this is because Lucy and Jellal came from the same family magic... Jellal's magic is Heavenly Body which means everything contained in the galaxy.. (gravity,blackhole,sun,moon,meteor,etc) and also star.. that's why he can use star magic spell (Grand Chariot) that he drew its magic circle in the sky just now...but that spell it's not as same with Urano Metria even they shared the same magic circle...Urano Metria is a caster magic spell that specialises for Celestial Spirit Wizard.. basically it's one of the Celestial Spirit Magic's spell...Urano Metria is ultimate spell of the stars that requires 88 constellations, in simpler word, Jellal can only use Star Magic Spell that aren't a part of constellation... But nevertheless Constellation is till a part of heavenly body that's why Lucy and Jellal shared the same magic circle .... Jellal's magic is so powerful, unique and versatile...he can do so many things but just because he just a side character...he doesn't get more screen times
Don't spoil it man. I also wanted to see that spell and when Jelal finally did it and saw it, it was awesome! Now they know it's a meteor.

Laxus? Jellal is stronger than laxus. In the 100 quest laxus is just above Erza, jellal is way stronger than Erza. Laxus is a beast, but jellal is a true prodigy since he was a child.

I know how powerful Jellal is like how he became on of the top ten Saint wizard at the young age even not with his full power because he just used his thought projection magic (Clone) to make it to the magic council on his behalf...and like how he beat Erza and Natsu easily at the early series.. wields a powerful and unique magic power, he also possesses many magic types too...how he beats the entire Oracion Seis member by himself, avenge Erza by defeating Neinhart which she couldn't make it..and how he fought Acnologia all by himself and baits the dragon through the sea just for the sake of trapping him...yeah i know
But Laxus is also power, he fought many stronger enemy all by himself where Natsu Team couldn't even do it together...and how he able to fight when he himself was deadly sick...yeah he might be tied Erza when they fought in 100 yrs quest..but Laxus literally took less damage than Erza's and he fainted after Erza did..and he woke up earlier than Erza, he was still able to back pigging her and brought her somewhere safe, after Erza awoken, she barely could move to find Jellal.. that's how powerful he was before he gained the power of King of Lightning Dragon just like Natsu... And he still haven't unlocked his second origin just like Natsu's team and his dragon force too... that's why I'm saying he's really strong...Erza could never beat him atp, just like how his guildmates say he's really the strongest..he might be surpasses Gildarts as he already beat an enemy with the same power level as Gildarts...Erza also said during their fight, he literally strong, that's why Natsu look up to him very much....
But about Jellal and Laxus...we don't get a chance to see them fighting against eachother...at the early story of 100 yrs quest they were almost fight but we got tricked by the Author .... because there is no canon scene, i assume jellal is on par with laxus (while my heart literally said he's stronger even the strongest in the Fairy Tail guild now, i know Natsu is the MC, he'll get the plot armour and will be strongest at the end of the series but for now and logically thinking, He's slightly below Laxus) .... It's good thing i say Jellal is on par with laxus which I'm bragging how powerful Laxus is..that means both of them are really strong than Erza.. so dont worry... they're my top fav character after Lucy

While Ichiya might go around being a goof, saying "men!" all the time. The guy is still quite good as a wizard.
His magic is very versatile and quite strong. Enough to even incapacitate an unaware Jura. It's so versatile that he could do healer, buffer, debuffer and dps all on his own just by the variety of perfume he has.
It's just a shame that he is a gag character. He doesn't get to show off as much.
Ichiya is litterly one of strongest wizards we seen so far in The series. Sure he is no match for A possesed jellal or Hades, but he beats like most people in fairy tail eccept like The People in The turnament, gildarts and makarov. Dude is insane. A true man!🤣

Between this and Obra deleting Lucy's magic before... they really need to put some magical isolation around the arena to prevent outside interference. It'd also probably be usefult o protect the audience from what's going on in the arena, so double win.
I cried laughing so hard at the end lf the fight...bc the last time we saw those 2, Metedy was giving Juvia trouble with her power...now its used to stop Jellal from using his powers and it was hilarious 😂
