As a seamstress it made my heart weep at the sight of all those abandoned sewing machines etc. such a shame that it wasn’t all sold off and the money given to whomever suffered due to the foul water. X

Those rolls that you see on the shelves going almost up to the ceiling are what those in the clothing manufacturing call "carding" to put into automated machines and the machines producted patterned knitted matterial to make socks etc.

Thank you so much. That stuff was killing me. I'm really good at identifying antique tools and how they where used. But those scrolls made my brain ache. But now I see the reason for the huge selection of gears cataloged on the wall. So a machine would be brought into the shop and the proper tooling installed. Then the scroll would run with air pressure or a vacuum and the thing ran a program like a player piano. Genius! I just want to hug you. And see one of them in action. GOD bless you sister and may the Father keep you safe and Christ be in you!

George Rusch It could also be incredibly naive to take anything from abandoned houses or factories. As many items from the past have energy attached to them and some of it very negative energy.

Those cogs and papers in rolls were Drapery and rug works. They made thousands of drapes for a place like this. Custom designs and repeat. During the depression, people with skill got a job and food this way. Those without skills were lucky to have a friend to help them through the learning. Wonderful and wow. Might have been a put your friends to work since you had money and they didn't. Hard to say.

I think we all wonder how not only they, but, the owners of some of this beautiful antique furniture, etc. could just be left behind to go back to the earth. That doesn't mean, that we would take it. However, It's really a shame, in so many ways for alot of these things of the past, just left to rust, rot and decay. When it could be placed in museums for future generations, to observe and enjoy. Way down the way in the future, things will look much differently and it'd be nice, if the buildings won't be preserved, at least, if the other things could be. It'd be awesome.

oh my God! That stunning furniture, guys!! Appears to be much of Eastlake design (1836-1906)
and the house being in Italy lends itself perfectly to the gorgeous, sinuous, highly stylized Art Nouveau (1890-1910) design style (where the fab stained glass panels of lt lime green and purple) and roses wallpaper.....my heart stops!!!! That amazing corner settee with attached tri-mirrors, oh wow! And the huge mirrored armoire! Very high priced pieces for an antique shop!! And all the little objects: vases, bowls, bottles, boxes, personal effects, etc.I am blown away.
The cast offs in the upper attic rooms were even lovely.

This place left me in awe. Makes me wonder why or what is wrong when a home, has so much history and beautiful carved wood piece furniture , plus everything else, then just forgotten and they never returned. In my heart I honestly had wishful thoughts , like having one or two of the wood pieces. But reality stepped in, suddenly realizing this stuff is not for buying or getting, just viewing on you tube. Difficult to grasp, no next of kin or anyone who understands the value or sentiment of this to return to get it. Offer for public viewing, not let it sit . wish I could walk through and just look , I would not touch or take. This is truly remarkable, thoughts back in time, sitting stiff and never to be used, touched or cherished again. Did something frighten whoever owned all this, so badly they never returned ?

What a fabulous find, too bad you went so fast over the great antiques that you should of let us have more than a second to appreciate and often the camera didn't focus on things because you moved so fast. Frustrating!

absolutely amazing find. I love that you have so much interest in the antiques. You can hear it in your voice. That makes your videos even better then most others. Keep them coming and I will soon catch up on all your videos as I just started watching about 2 weeks ago.

The furniture was beautiful! All the carving in the wood was amazing. The picture I was seeing was the rich ones built the factory also the apartments for the employees so the could work 24/7 but the part about the poison water what would be the purpose doing that. How long has it been abandoned. But whatever they had done they had to get out fast and leave everything behind.

Thanks for filming this, despite the pain (did you check the meds cabinet in the doctor’s office for antibiotics?!). As always, thoroughly enjoyed this location - cars especially. Like the new channel name too. Progress is good: UK to World to Adventuring (wherever, whatever). They are more than explores, they are adventures. Get some antibiotics. 🙃
