GD and TOP are the main rap line-
Taeyang, Daesung, and Seungri are the main vocal line!
(GD and TOP actually rap a lot together and have a whole "GD&TOP" album!)
But honestly, all of them could switch inbetween rap and vocal! Even TOP! He actually has a sweet deep singing voice. You can hear his singing voice in "If You", "Last Dance", and even a bit in the recent "Still Life".
(Also when BigBang was doing their last concert, and TOP was in the military, some of the vocalists would have fun and cover TOPs part LOL.)
...And ahhh it's so hard to dwindle down what you should check out for the last two days, there's just so much! (I mean there's what, 17 years of content?)
I think another good live performance is the "Bang Bang Bang, Fantastic Baby, Sober" trio they do at the end of their concerts. And I'd say to actually check out the Bang Bang Bang MV... but then you're missing out on the older songs!
So maybe you should check out AT LEAST either "LaLaLa" (their debut song), "Lies" or "Haru Haru" (the songs that made them famous), "Last Farewell", or "Fantastic Baby".
Other great live performances to stick on here at the end, Daesung's "Anymore", or "Cafe"!

This is why kpop idol trainees or even those who already debuted were all attending BIGBANG concerts coz they are the perfect example for live stages, how live stages should look like. They are the blue print and kings in kpop live performances. 💛

Long time no see 😊 Iconic line . TOP is the main rapper. He does some singing from time to time and his singing voice is amazing but 90 % of time he raps . GD on the other hand does as much vocal parts as rap parts and he harmonise with the vocal line . All concerts can pe found posted by fans on CZcams. Dorian Gray chanel has the best lives with sub and lyric explanation. I say you watch some of their early stuff so you can see their evolution . La La debut stage , A full of tears because r&b and hip hop influence they brought to kpop, Lies because it was the first time an kpop group find success with a song written by a idol. Haru Haru MV that rap exchange between GDcand TOP , the birth of the rapline in kpop groups . These songs changed the industry , the way groups were formed , music was made . As a bonus you should see Zutter MV 😅 You need to see GD & TOP as a duo . Honestly every member deserves a week on their own .
Chris, to discover BigBang still have long ways to go, coz they have many good songs and best solo especially for Taeyang and Gd, at least do 20-30parts of BigBang 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈

BigBang's Tokyo Dome concert is stellar. And to think it's mostly sung in Japanese is insane. Same songs, 2 versions. LOVE BIGBANG. Loving your Bigbang week. But there's soooooooooo many great songs and performances. You need another week down the line.

Officially, TOP and GD are the rap-line. GD was once considered the youngest rapper in Korea (he had collaborations as a child, like "Storm" by Perry or "Gentleman" by the YG family... true hits in Korea). And TOP is the first underground rapper in K-pop. They also have a complete album together. You really have to watch Zutter (MV and dance practice). Neither of them will leave you indifferent,😂
The vocal-line consists of Taeyang, Daesung, and Seungri. But truly, all the members can do everything. Daesung used to even cover TOP's rap parts when he couldn't go on tour due to his military service
And whenever you can, please watch "Bang Bang Bang + Fantastic Baby + Sober" in Osaka. You can find it on Dorian Grayy's channel with subtitles (I can't provide the link because for some reason CZcams removes my comment when I do it). That's another level

Long time no see Legendary Artist Kings. All of them can do any position. That's why back then they often switch verses of their songs in their performances, espescially when they're goofing around, engrossed on the performance or if some of them not feeling well.
Acapella, With the band or music background. They give their all and enjoyed it. Haha sometimes fixing the mic while dancing and singing. Do adlibs and beatboxing.

BigBang was the first team was apply 2 Rapper in a Kpop group who really successful, but boths of them also can sings as well, Taeyang R&B and daesung powerful vocal was the main vocal in the group, seugri only involved little in all the BigBang songs

Bigbang can do rock, ballad, r&b, pop, hip hop, pure rap, trot, accapella and many more.
GD is the main rapper while TOP is the lead rapper. Both are talented rappers hence the confusion.
In the past GD and Taeyang were supposed to debut as GDYB duo under the genre of hiphop/rnb but YG thought of something else and that is to form BIGBANG. Hence Taeyang can rap. He was a rapper back then. But he focused on his vocals later on.

Pre-debut Taeyang was leaning towards rap but he's more a vocalist than a rapper now. If he chooses to rap, he can for example Ringa Linga. GD TOP rap, the rest are vocalist.

How do you rate GD and TOP's rapping? I think they are both fire! And can you say Taeyang is the main vocal? Is he better than Daesung or Seungri? And to complicate things, all of them can rap and sing. TOP singing (no rap) - Hi Haruka (an OST for a drama called Secret Message in which he acted as well).
