I'm from Mexico and britpop is the genre I was listening during my teenage years in the mid 90's, this music had a huge impact on me, one of the reasons I started listening to this music was because it had all that Beatles vibes, like you just described it. I think the impact britpop had was actually bigger in Latin America than in the US, at least that is my perception. Oasis fame was massive, they started everything. Then came blur, Pulp, and The Verve. I would say those were the most famous and influential at the time, Supergrass, Kula Shaker or Elastica had some small hits too, yeah.. good times!!
