Just caught this on the way to work. Katatonia is a band I've enjoyed since I was about 19. They're like a blend of Doom, Prog, and alternate rock. Jonas voice is iconic and haunting.
Personally this particular song doesn't make it high in my rankings but I take nothing away from it meaning a lot to some one else.
I'd say July is a mandatory song to check out for some great riffs and movements.
Old Heart Falls is another fan favorite I can't argue with.
Lacquer on the other hand is a really slick minimalist transient vibe and one of my favorites.

That's me 🎉 thank you for this. I did see them and they were outstanding. I agree this version isn't great, I prefer the live performance but that may be due to live being my first exposure to them. Their studio prod is spotty in the earlier stuff imho. No worries!
