Congrats, already looks like a sweet camper as-is, I look forward to seeing what you do with it!
Thanks man, I appreciate it. It is pretty sweet as is, I just can’t leave well enough alone 😂
Very cool! Excited to see what you do with it.
Thank you, thanks for tuning in!
Nice score. Congratz. Enjoy. Looking forward to some videos. 😉
Thank you!
Wow!!!!
Looking forward to seein’ you make it your own. Gonna be a game changer havin’ all that extra space!
Thanks for tuning in. Can’t wait to get out in it!
Congratulations! Looking forward to watching your videos on the renovations and camping videos.
Thank you! 🙏
Looks cool! I’d recommend vinyl plank flooring over peel-n-stick… waterproof and forgiving of uneven subfloor.
Good point! I appreciate it
Sweet little pop-up! super jealous I haven’t been able to find one so I settled for a half camper need some work to. Can’t wait to see what you do with yours!!!
Thank you, I’m looking forward to digging in.
Way to go. Looks like you snagged a good one. Welll in due time. Looking forward to hopefully seeing some """Testing""" camping trips to get to know the ins & outs of the new addition. Ain't nothing worse to waking up to a WET bed. Don't think anyone will complain about watching everything you do to it.
Thank you! Definitely testing to come
thats a good looking top on it! excited to see what this goes! interior looks like theres lots of room for improvements. everything looks super bulky on the control box, probably where id invest some time cleaning things up.
Thank you! For sure, it was a quick build, I can def clean it up and improve on it, so that’s the plan!
Sweet! My biggest beef with these things is the full size ones look goofy on trucks. I really like the sleekness of a GFC, but after living in one for a week, I can see why a FWC would be better. Mid-sized on a full size! Nice idea! We bought a travel trailer in October and are living in it on the weekends as our ski base, but dang a pop up would be super nice to have AT the resort!
Yeah I think FWC strikes a good balance between space, function and weight. I knew I didn’t want a big hard side camper that weighs 1400lbs wet.
The interior space will be a nice upgrade over what I have on my Tacoma.
I have a 6’6” popup truck camper I fixed up and am selling this spring.
Suggestions:
There are all kinds of weather sealing options. Some require maintenance every season, that nobody does. So figure that out and catch up on maintenance
I am pretty sure the RV specialty products are marked up residential construction products
Keep food out and rodent poison in.
The REI kingdom sleep system looks like a good fit for truck campers
The truck to camper attachment systems at confusing, good luck on that
Thanks for the suggestions!
Before going this route, did you think about making your own from scratch, a la the tacoma one? Regardless, pretty dope dude!
Oh I definitely did! But I’m short on time and space to tackle something that big, plus I want to be out camping and not building. The first camper was a great winter project and less complex. Thanks for watching man!
That thing is sweet! How much did you get it for?
Paid less than $8k
@@pnwxplore that’s awesome, congrats
