I bought a pair of these last year and everything they say in the review is true. They are amazingly comfortable and are easy to ride on all day on a dirt bike. The construction is excellent and is well worth the price. The buckles are easy to use, which is a blessing after along day out in the woods, or after a muddy ride, or whatever.
But, there are some caveats as well. When landing a jump, you can feel the foot pegs through the sole of the boot, it doesn't hurt by any means but you can feel it. Worse than that though is that I've broken both my left and right tibia's on two different occasions. Was this due to he boot's flexibility or just dumb luck? I don't know but I'm buying a pair of SG12s which are noted for better lateral protection. I love these boots but I simply don't trust them any more.

Yikes! These boots are really for tarmac and dirt road riding, not anything dirt or technical! I know it was eight years ago, but I hope you realize that :-)

I tried on a pair at my local shop and they are super comfortable. I ride an 08 Speed Triple and the toe box is low enough to fit under the shifter however, the tread is very sticky rubber and the tread is too raised up for my liking on a street bike. I suppose you could take them to a custom shoe shop and have them soled to your liking but add some serious coin.

JF,those two boots are very different. I am confident the Tech 3 will be too stiff, would like to talk with you about other choices. Can you please give us a call?

would you recommend these for purely street riding? do they offer adequate protection...i use my bike for everything and need comfort when i get off it, dont wana look like a power ranger but i also like my ankles and skin...
currently rock a scott leather jacket, some triumph shorty kevlar gloves, kevlar red route jeans, KBC lid and some really really shit spada boots...

I plan on doing a lot of both on road and off road riding, but can't decide which boots to get. These or the tech3 at's. I fear the tech3s will be too stiff, but I'm also worried about ankle and foot support which I hear isn't the best with these boots. Hard decision to make. What do you think is the better boot for 50/50 dual sporting?

I'm a 250 street rider, mostly commuting and looking for a dedicated daily boot. I like what I've seen from these boots but am concerned about ankle, shank & toe box protection. Are these suitable for street riding?

They have some rigidity in the sole, a hard toebox cover, and the leather is fairly stiff. More protection is always better......but these have more than most street boots!!
