*The fact that you can just turn the volume all the way up and make your friends deaf is just right around the corner*
Did you know that the other iPhone can override the volume control for the headphones that are connected to it meaning that not only you have control over their headset but they have control over the volume controls so they can avoid such deafening sounds.
Just imagine if you put on a soundtrack of fingers scraping off a chalkboard. That will literally kill your ears and the person also being forced to listen to it too. So, it’s a good thing that the other fella has control over how loud they have the audio too.

Is there is provision to listen on EarPods and AirPods at the same time in a single device?
Unfortunately I don’t think so, I tried last week and the wired earphones would take over
These feature seems to only work with certain headphones or devices. I was expecting that the pass through was through the main device and allow any other bluetooth audio device to pick up the sharing. I have 2 devices that should be working together, they are both 2020 products and it should actually work with shared audio but is not with the iPhone.
I think I figured out it has to be an Apple, or beats product.

Scoping if you connect to the other persons AirPods when they open their case (while you’re also connected to yours) you can connect to both

Yes, it can work! Just tap “share audio” and iOS will ask you to put close your friend’s AirPods Pro instead of their phone. 🌟

Well, it just not working. Just like airdrop since iOS 17. (Even with iOS17.1) And obviously, being Apple, they do not have any manual or failsafe option to force it to connect.

How come my 6-year old Samsung S9 can share audio between ANY two headphones and the current 1000+€ iPhone Pro cannot, but forces you to buy apple headphones? The function is native to bluetooth 5, so Apple invested money and time to worsen the function of bluetooth 5. Criminal behaviour.

While you wear AirPods or compatible Beats headphones, you can share what you’re listening to with a friend who’s also wearing AirPods or compatible Beats headphones.
