I was hospitalised in 2022 didn’t realise I had heart failure but I was diagnosed with it and a pulmonary embolism. I was stage four heart failure with an ejection fraction of 20 % . Now my injection fraction on the high dose is 41% . Which I am stunned at . The downside for me has been stomach upsets snd slow digestion it seems . I take other medications as well as they gave me every thing they could so I suppose I can’t blame it all on Entresto .
My EF went from 25 to 45 within the first 6 months - now at the 9 mth stage - hoping for further improvements at the 12 month marker as the study showed this was likely.
I have cardiomyopathy, AF and HF, and was on amiodarone some years ago, it attacked my thyroid, so was ceased. I have been on various medications, including Entresto (for a year or so now), and my HF is under control.
I’m at 15ef for past 4months had mri scan a week ago got results today still at 15 how long does it take to work I’m worried sick please answer me thankyou
It can take time, I don’t think they normally expect much change until around 6 months onwards, they probably wouldn’t perform an echo before this time. If it works though you could see a huge rise.

How how is your EF rate now ?
Slowly creeping up, I’ve got an echo cardiogram in a few weeks so will know more then.

Is this a replacement for ramipril?
Yes, you stop any ACE inhibitor before switching to Entresto.
what are the gains that you are trying to achieve?
I am hoping entresto will help to improve my ejection fraction
