  • Giving up some of my favourite sports was super hard for me, but they can further progress my symptoms and cause other issues. I’ve had to find other ways to enjoy being active without the blood sweat and tears.

I'm suspected to have it, too and very afraid about that...
But I have only one major ecg criterion.
T Wave inversions in V1-V6 and in II,III and avF.
No more criteria, normal mri with 70% EF...
    So it is "possible"

That’s great that your EF is in good shape, are you waiting on test results?

Do you have T Wave inversions?

@@niklas2036 yes I do, I didn’t know I had anything wrong until I collapsed at 36. I think had I had a random ECG it may have been picked up a lot sooner.

@@cardiomyopathyandme5970 okay... for me it was a random ecg. I'm 22 now. Nobody in my family has a cardiac condition.
I definitely want to know it as fast as possible, the uncertainty is driving me crazy.
But nothing apart from the TWIs is suspicious so I still have hope :)
And your way to deal with it, too

what do you think about weight lifting?

    • @cardiomyopathyandme5970
      @cardiomyopathyandme5970  Před rokem +1

I have been told strictly no weights. I do use a resistance band and focus on light toning. Heavy lifting can be a big trigger for me and set of my ventricular tachycardia which I then get a very unpleasant shock from my icd. Everyone is different though and I would speak to your cardiologist to see what they think is possible in you situation.

appreciate your answer and video! kinda difficult for me to evaluate got the gen detection at 18 since my mam has acvr with cdi. didnt really care about it and continued to train crazy, mainly with weigths. hard to probably give those things up at 22y… but i feel somehow that i got it and will make all the necessary tests now. do you got any tips or ideas for me furthermore? have you seen a sport cardiologyst?

@@onthepath9553 thank you, I am going to be releasing a couple more videos in the next few days on various aspects.
With regard to your current situation it would all depend on things like your ejection fraction, symptoms if you experienced any yet ( I didn’t get any until my first collapse ) and your cardiologist may do a cardiac mri to determine the current condition of the heart etc. I would think these are all things your regular cardiologist could clarify.
All I would say is be careful and certainly check these things first, if I could wind back the clock I would sacrifice the training and I may have not accelerated my condition as fast. I know what I was like at 22 and it’s really hard not to think sod it I’ll just carry on until it happens.
