- Come and art journal with me. I took inspirations from the full moon and a lovely tile I have. I use collage, hand brush lettering, gouache, stencils and doodling. I show you how not to panic and sort out any mistakes. At every step I share my thought process and why I'm doing different things, so even if you don't have all the things I've got I will give alternatives and you can use what you have.
I'll do a full flip though of the completed journal in a few weeks - I'm almost there!

Lovely! I’m not sure why, but I never thought of adding clear gesso over my collage before starting the process of adding details. I’m going to try that next time; I think it could help with a plethora of frustrations.
Two more inconsequential comments: 1) great choice of song lyric (I instantly think of Fred Astaire singing it), and 2) your comment about being inordinately fond of dots made me laugh, because same here!
