Well, this was an interesting video, and you're right: since most of us come from Western countries, we don't have a true interest in these geopolitical stuff.
Most of them simply didn't want to create a PSN account.
Many users don't want to create a Ubisoft, EA, Paradox, etc account.
That said, I'm pretty sure there wasn't any hypocrisy, cuz they simply never thought at the entire picture.

Well there isn't much to say,
Just that companies will do what they want weither we like it or not.
As for the drama everyone have their own reason. Weither it is PSN, EA, Microsoft , GAAS, unfinished games. And more is just a matter of time until the undustry collapse for good. People will move on eventually.
It happenend before and it will happen again its a cycle like any other.
You're explanation about geopolitics and all the other thing was a nice touch. But people using poor countries to fit their narratives while not caring about it. You'll find a bit of everything.
I have seen people signing petition resigning their subscription, bashing corps, boycotts. Some even went as far as getting into devs,journalist, or specific people private's space.
So i believe you underestimate a bit how far some people can go when their upset.
But overall your point is fair and valid.
Also really love the examples and the overall presentation. Like the tone you used.

There will be a change with fewer AAA games, and more less risky projects.
This will prolly lead to a new status quo with more and more indie Dev teams.
Manor Lords and Pokemon clone are shiny example of the new path of gaming industry.

My point is not only valid. As u can see I'm not posting much lately. But I'm watching the landscape very closely and I'm a bit disappointed and disgusted by both sides. Yeah companies are doing shady stuff... But Gamers wanna boycott everything. I see what's going on with assassin's Creed shadows controversy.... There is one black guy in all of Japan and the whole world is falling apart... C'mon man..
@@dailyhubranx well i mean company are always gonna do shady stuff but there is a somewhat simple fix. If you don't approve or like what they do then don't buy.
As for AC shadows listen i get some of the dissapointment.
But at the end of the day, if the game is good and well written then that's fine. If it is poorly done then either move on or wait for bargain sale.
At this point just enjoy the games you like.
Not gonna lie i was a bit doubious at first when i saw the trailer but the thing i care the most is how good the game will be so i expect some gameplay reveal.

Helldivers 2 didn't break any laws. Sony owns the rights to the IP. while people calling Sony evil and stuff. I looked at the situation closer and I think it was a big miscalculation on Sony's part. And I think they really tried to fix the issues before saying everyone needs a PSN account.
You need to understand that a lot of CZcamsrs, even the big ones, don't know what they're talking about and just like they accuse companies of misleading customers, they twist a lot of information and overdramatize stuff because it gets views. I wish people would read more and not just take CZcamsrs by their words with screenshots of what they want to show.
