    Can't do anything wrong when tuning drums? I'm living proof that you can. 🥴

    great video. when you show the snare from low, to medium to high tuning, did you just tighten the batterhead (and leave the reso head the same?)

    Great video and content, but there’s definitely something wrong with that kick drum mic.

    I loved the medium tuning in the snare. But with the low tuned toms and kick drum. Sounds cool. I don’t have a hole in my bass drum skin, should I cut one?

      It's ideal if you're putting microphones for your drums, but they're not that necessary.

    When you say "tune the reso head slightly higher than the batter", how much is "slightly"? And it is different for the snare, kick, and toms?

    I thought the medium snare tuning sounded best

    very good video...so, what's about snare reso tension please?

    • @gusbandicoot
      @gusbandicoot Před 3 lety

      Tight as a table top!!! Then make sure your snares don't choke... Keep them loose

      But not so tight that the head splits at the bearing edge. (A perfect example of how you- well, I- can totally get it wrong!)

    low tuning for me

    @Paolo-sr6gl Před 3 lety +2

    And for the snare buzz??!!😤😤😤

    • @gusbandicoot
      @gusbandicoot Před 3 lety +5

      To reduce snare buzz, pitch your snare drum away from the Tom's pitch so they don't resonate at the same frequency. You will never get rid of the buzz completely, but this is the main cause.
