#Star_Delta_starter is probably the most common #reduced_voltage_starter for a #3_phase_induction_motor in present day use.
These starters are used in an attempt to reduce the start current applied to the motor during starting, to reduce the disturbances and interference transferred on to the electrical supply.
The Star Delta starter is manufactured using three contactors, a timer and a thermal overload.
