I love how you teach skills that sort of "mix and match". It gives sewists so many options to be creative!
All the dresses look lovely, but the sleeve I’m most excited about is the first one. The fabric suits that style so well too. 🌸
It’s such a pretty sleeve 😍 Probably my favourite too!
I’m from Brazil and recently I have started to watch sewings tutorials and yours are the easiest to understand. This lines that you put on the video helped me some much to visualize what I have to do and also put the measures in metros. Your calm way to explain and detail are simply the best. Thank you so much for your videos, I love it
That first sleeve casing details are Perfection 🤭💛🤎
It’s was soo satisfying to make 😍
*little victory dance Yes! Thanks Janelle! I now have the cord fabric, the Rosa pattern and now the puff sleeves - now where is that dream dress tutorial…🥰
Here’s the video: czcams.com/video/Yb8u73D4hqM/video.html Have fun making it! 😍
I am beyond excited! Learning so much from your videos and love my new hobby. Thanks so much! Have a lovely day!
I loved the first sleeve....did you share the making of the first dress🤔...so in love with that dress.
Thank you! The full tutorial for the first two dresses will be coming soon 🧡
I love the short puffy sleeve with the drawstring
Soo happy with how that one turned out, and such a fun one to make 😊
Loved the second sleeve with the gathered forearm. Brilliant that you have thought to give a free extra pattern to 2 of your dresses. Makes the investment of buying each pattern so much more appealing. Fabulous. Thank you Jannel
I’m all about giving you as much value out of my patterns as possible 😊🧡
@@RoseryApparel And we really appreciate it. ❤️
Wow Janelle just love all the statement sleeves on those beautiful dresses, but favourite has to be the 1st and last sets you sewed. You are totally blessed and I am blown away by your creative talent. You explain everything so easy. Thank you. Remain blessed xxx

I have made the willow dress so far and loved working with it as it was so easy to follow and watch your video while making it. Thanks again for these great vids and look forward to the next one!
Thanks Claire! That’s so great to hear 🧡
Thank you for all your lovely tips and tricks, such a joy to watch your videos.
I love your sleeves.
Thank you! I’m a huge fan of a big sleeve 😍
Definitely excited to try the little puffy sleeve with the tie, so cute!
A new fave for sure 😍
I have just received my Pansy dress pattern and am going to put these beautiful tie-up sleeves on it. This dress will be perfect for the Aussie spring and summer. Thankyou for your beautiful designs Janelle 😊
This might be my favorite video… and I’m so excited for the full dress tutorials to come out too!! Thank you so much for the inspiration 😁
Aw thank you! I’m so happy with how this video turned out, so I’m glad you liked it 😊
Yes!! I was hoping you would release a sleeve pattern like this 😍 Will definitely be using it soon, I have some gingham fabric just waiting to be turned into something with amazing sleeves! ❤️🌿
Hi Janelle great tutorial you make it look so easy but definitely going to give it a go.
The first one is a little fiddly, but the other two are soo easy - I think you’ll be surprised! Such a simple way to add some wow-factor to a garment 😍
This is sooo cute!!!
Another fantastic video! 👍🏻 My favourite is the middle one, but they’re all beautiful. It’s so good of you to tell us how to fit them into your existing patterns, and to provide a free template. You’re an absolute star! ⭐️ Deb x
Janelle, you make it really hard to choose a favourite! I love them all. They're all so perfect and adorable in their own right! BUT today's favourite will be the first one.. short sleeve.. had me intrigued the whole way through lol.. then the penny finally dropped lol. Thank you for the templates and thanks for sharing x
Thanks lovely! I’m glad you liked it 😄 I’m pretty sure that first one is my favourite too! x
It seems so simple with you. Thank you for desecrating the sewing of such beautiful complex sleeves, and like Helen McD I have preferred the first one. Hi from France
Thanks for watching! I’m glad it was easy to follow along and understand 😊
You should make shorts!!!
A pair of shorts with the same fabric of the dress you are wearing in the video!!!!
It could be nice to wear during the winter with tights!
I enjoy your videos 🤗🤗
Such a cute idea!! I need some new shorts for summer, so stay tuned 😍
Another fabulous, easy to follow tutorial and a free template. Thank you so much Janelle ♥ I love the effect of shirring, it reminds me of my favourite clothes from the 70s.
I’m a huge fan of shirring too 😍
Wow can't wait to watch the tutorials for the dresses we haven't seen yet!
Beautiful sleeves and a great video! 🙂
So pretty and such great tips!! Thank you for sharing!
Super cute! I like the drawstring sleeve best though I don't usually like sleeves on my dresses because I wear a lot of cardigans and jackets. I love the ditsy floral print too!
Just beautiful! I love puffy sleeves
First one i love it .. thanks for sharing this ❤️
You’re welcome! I’m glad you liked it 😊
My favorite is definitely the tie up sleeves! It’s very hobbity and cottage core 😍 I’ll have to try it once I get some free time!
Loved the first sleeve style!
I love this! can't wait to spritz up my dresses with these gorgeous sleeves
Thank you so much for these tutorials. I’m very new to sewing. Do you think you could to a tutorial on how to make the sleeves longer?
Oh my goodness you’re so professional on sewing. Love the colors💕👏🏼👍🏻
Aw thanks lovely x
Hi Janelle! Fabric, style, sleeves..everything looks lovely. I think my favourite is the micro floral short sleeve dress!! 😍 can't wait for the new video on this one in particular! 🥰
Thanks lovely! The full video should be out in a few weeks 😘
So excited to try the sleeves of the first dress! Hope there is a tutorial coming for the rest of the dress 😍😍
Definitely! It will be out in a couple of weeks 🧡
I love everything you make Janelle! 😊
Thank you 😄🧡
Your yellow dress is so cute!!!
Thank you 🧡🧡
I cannot wait for the first dress tutorial!! Thank you for giving inspiration!
I’m excited to share it 😍
Hey, Janelle! Could you make a video on how to sew super delicate fabrics (like thin stretchy satin). I have such a hard time with this! Needle type? How to adjust the tension? I was working on a skirt and had to abandon it because it wouldn’t stitch!
I have done stretchy fabric before. Use a scrap piece to try first to get tension and stitch width correct. You will need a stretch needle and go very slow. Best of luck
Annice Rader
Thank you! I didn’t know they made needles for specifically stretchy fabric.
@@kacielr1 look up Evelyn Wood on CZcams. She helped me when I first started. Also Debbie Shore.
Thank you SO much for sharing this video! 😍
Wow nicely explained... Thanks Janelle 😊
Thank you, I’m glad you liked it 🧡
I personally don't like the look of statement sleeves but I like learning new things! Thank you.
Thank you!!! I hope you will be releasing a pattern or tutorial for the green gingham dress, it is absolutely lovely!!
Definitely! I’m hoping to get the video done this week!
Thank you so so much Janelle.. I watched each and every videos of yours and sew pretty things from your tutorial.. thank you so much for the inspiration ♥️ and keep up the good works going to try this soon💖
Thanks so much for watching them, and for your lovely comment 🧡 It really means a lot! x
Great video. I can't wait to try these sleeves out!
Love love that dress
Amazing you!
Thank you for your video and thank you for not calling it smocking....shirting and smocking are two completely different sewing techniques but so many CZcamsrs are using the term interchangeably......
I’m soo keen to try smocking next though! Looks so difficult but so amazing 😍 Have you done it before?
Can't wait to see the full tutorials for these dresses!
I love the way u make sewing seem easy. I love your videos. Do u earn living from what you make
Yes, making sewing tutorials and sewing patterns is my full time job (I feel so lucky!) 😊
So beautiful, thank you!
I love this video, thank you!
I’m thinking I will finally try shirring haha! That second sleeve is so interesting!
Once you start it’s hard to stop (well for me anyway, I’m obsessed! 😂)
So beautiful! You are amazing!
Aw thank you so much 🧡
Your clothes are so cute. Like Little House on the Prairie 2021
Lindaaaaa! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
i love this sleeves where is the video of this dress ❤️☺️
Love this! Definitely going to give them a go - What is the little tool you used to make the binding? I need that in my life 😍 Thank you ❤️
It's a bias binding maker.. you can get a set of different sizes off eBay .. I did 😁
Wow
Nice👍👏😊
Interested to know what you do with the loose ends of the shirring once all the rows are done? How do you tidy them up? Beautiful sleeves ❤️ x
Thank you! I just simply back stitch them like I would normally and then trim them away 😊 x
Sooo beautiful! ❤️💕💖💞💗👏🏻❤️💖💗💞💘💝🍓💞💖💗
I'm curious to know why you don't use the automatic buttonhole stitch?
I prefer to make them manually, plus I think it’s helpful to show how to do it in case people don’t have an automatic buttonhole stitch on their machine 😊
Mam superb. Third top meterial details plese
Beautiful. How do I hack the pattern(s) if I don't want puffiness at the shoulder?
This template is designed for extra puffiness sorry! You could try merge the original Rosa pattern sleeve with the techniques shown in this video though 😊 Also, here is another sleeve pattern video I shared with a little less puffiness: czcams.com/video/Q7IG9gAfn5k/video.html
Have you ever considered teaching a sewing class through skillshare? I've learned quite a bit by watching your channel and I think you would make an excellent instructor on that platform as well.
It’s definitely something I’d love to do one day! I just wish there were more hours in the day honestly 😅
For the shirted sleeve.. instead of the shirring on the shoulder can you just do an elastic casing??
Yes you can! Follow this tutorial here to find out how: czcams.com/video/qB7G9TqBhpM/video.html 😊
I love the first dress sleeves - such a clever idea to use a button hole + bias binding to create a casing. I might try out this technique on the waistline of a slouchy dress as well! Is there a reason you don't use the buttonhole foot of your machine?
That’s a great idea 😍 I just prefer to make them manually, and I think it’s helpful to share how to do it in case people don’t have a machine with a buttonhole stitch/foot
@@RoseryApparel Yes, that is bound to be helpful if you don't have that on your machine! Thanks for your video once again.
