"Shadrach" is a very underrated track that showcases their interlocking style very well.👍
Yes!
I don't know why but my fav line in that track is 'What's up with your bad breath onion rings'...gets me every time 😂 ...and yes please, more B Boy reactions so much more to do✌️
The Beasties always make a significant cultural contribution with every performance
This song is the epitome of a banger. One of many perfect Beastie Boys tracks, from their greatest album "Paul's Boutique", a sampling masterpiece. Keep the Beastie Boys marathon coming! Check out "Looking Down the Barrel of a Gun"
Paul's Boutique is definitely an all time GOATed album
it's a sleeper, unknown, but it's my favorite by far. been listening to it a lot lately
I'm from the East Village in NYC - where they are shouting out in this song - and the day MCA passed away the bar down the street projected this and some other Beastie Videos on the wall of the building across the street. It was a moment. They were just spontaneously deciding to pay tribute to these guys, it both broke my heart and made me happy that they're still so loved... as they should be. They were truly genius. There's a live concert from Amsterdam in 2004 and it's just outstanding.. definitely not to be missed.
Yo! The drummer from Luscious Jackson is a Beastie Boy. Kate Schellenbach.
for future reference, "without further adieu " means you're going to do it immediately. not almost a minute later after talking some more.
It's actually "without further ado", adieu is French for goodbye. It's one of those misheard phrases apparently know as an "eggcorn"
100% do Shadrach and yes like Shadrach Meshach and Abednego. Its a good song the BB use Shadrach M and A as a metaphor for their journey up to that point.
This is one of those raps where you can see that the guys are just out there busting rhymes and having a good frickin' time.
I highly recommend both "Hey, Ladies!" and "Sure Shot" as well as Beck's "Loser."
Yep!
Philly and Jersey? Young man, if you haven’t dived into the 90s catalog of The Roots and Redman, you are missing critical historical dopeness
It’s amazing to think this BBoys track came out in 1989. Still sounds so fresh today, so far ahead of its time!! 🔥
Don’t fall asleep on their live performances. Their live 1994 “Sabotage” on David Letterman is LIT x 10!!
Oooh ohhh its the disco call!
This is one of my Beastie favs! Honestly, I don't think there is a bad beastie song. All of them are bangers!
You need to go in for the long haul and go with B-Boy Bouillabaisse at the tail end of Paul's Boutique. There is a lot there to unpack. There will never be another album like Paul's Boutique with all the sampling they do it'd be cost prohibitive in today's world.
The Beastie boys what part of the second generation the connected LL they were truly pioneers
Ur ears have just been blessed yougin!!!
Beastie Boys always got the house parties going in high school
i haven't even started the video yet, but I know King is gonna love this one. This is Paul's Boutique Beasties.
Nah they were saying "freshhh" like the sign in the end with the produce...it's freshhh...
Do yourself a favor and react to Beastie Boys - Shadrach, 1 of the best they got. GUARANTEED!!!!
Facts.
Check out beastie boys root down you won’t be disappointed
I just tried to hit the link on the video feed to watch Gratitude live at the end of the Beastie video.
That was not "Sound of tha Police" what are you talking about and never mention Chief Keef in the same sentance as the Beasties.
Love the drums in this
Other shrimp eating lyrics, Sippin On Some Syrup - Three 6 Mafia - We eat so many shrimp, I got iodine poisoning
I LOVE your charisma and enthusiasm my man!! Keep iy up!!
manhattan.. the "village" as in greenwich- being from philly too i would have known if they said that- man i think you forgot to take your adhd meds before this one
don't forget- product of the environment video- 3rd bass
and shadrach with the video is pretty cool too it's a painted video brought to life
He said the village in nyc
These guys were visionary's of the best kind - what a life! The one thing that is impossible to understand if you didn't live through it is all their current events mentioned, not that the song can't be loved but these guys sampled and referenced history like no others!
Philly's in the house! Like that meow you added for real! Nice review and take care🙂 GO BIRDS 💚🦅🏈
Dude check out all beck. Beck is a genius.
Will do 😎
Sure Shot should me next. And check out Beck, he mixes folk punk with hip hop beats and nonsensical lyrics. The Dust Brothers produced his album Odelay, they also did the Beastie Boys album Shake Your Rump came from, Paul’s Boutique. That album is considered the height of the sampling era.
So idk if you have but watch “fight for your right” 1986 release. (You’ve prob heard that song) but right after you should watch “make some noise” 2011 release (the entire 30 min video). I think you’d enjoy and it would make a good video
Thanks for reacting, you gotta check out Sure Shot. Another true banger.
🔥
Hey ladies is a blast of a song.
Oh my!! you need to give Beck a try Loser is epic!!
This album, Paul’s Boutique was their follow up to License to Ill and was so different it actually wasn’t received anywhere near the level they expected. If they didn’t have a contract for a third album they would have fell off and they spent all their money making it. They ended up isolating themselves in a band room and cemented themselves in music with their third album. Many true fans consider Paul’s Boutique to be one of their best. Awesome reaction.
Eatin' shrimp A la Carte with some bitches from Brussels/Eatin' clams and mussels. - Biggie
THANK YOU! Love this one.
Definitely do Hey Ladies, it is just silly silly fun.
Also check out the song they did with Nas, it’s Too Many Rappers.
Good fun my bud
Where? I'm in Cherry hill.
Hurricanes scratch solo in this video, is the bar being set IMO.
Top 5 DJs of all time.
❤
"Egg man" all day!!!!
All respect to The Beastie Boys, but Pimp C dropped the only shrimp bar that matters. Another dope vid, sir.
This is so cute... He has zero idea about the b-boys hahahaha
Philly rap to react to: Cool C - The Glamorous Life, 3XDope - Funky Dividends, Krown Rulers - Kick The Ball, Cash Money & Marvelous - Ugly People Be Quiet, Bahamadia - True Honey Buns
@IamKing4L some more old school bangers, My Philosophy by KRS one, Love's gonna getcha by Boogie down productions, Thug Luv by Bone thugs and harmony with 2 pac, The choice is your by Black Sheep, So many tears by Tupac, and a real throw back, The message by Grandmaster flash and the furious five.
Check out Locksmith . Sway in the morning freestyle
nothing wrong with my leg, im just B-Boy Limpin
Come on we all knows the cat was scratchin hah
You should check out the funky 4+1 “that’s the joint” which was sampled on this song
oh man, you can check their joint with NAS for the supermarket video theme
Shadrach triple trouble.. all you listed are goooood!
Listen to Shadrach!
Bro…
TRIPLE TROUBLE
Another one you should do is ugly by Bubba Sparxxx
Please check out Seismic Waves by Atmosphere.
Triple Trouble is a GREAT one to react to! Do it next! It tells a story
You'd love Rage Against The Machine - Killing In The Name Of .. they also do a rock/rap type thing but it's more aggressive
Yes! Loser by Beck🎉 you won’t be disappointed ❤
Sure Shot is a legit Beastie Boys you gotta check out.
Nooooo....he said "Manhattan...The Village" NOT Philly
Try the song ,
Hey Ladies....
3mc's and 1 dj
Have you not seeing 3 DJs??
very careful
Who’s this Beck guy.. lol.
Seriously…?
The Beastie Boys somehow made a career of rapping about absolutely nothing and killed it. It's the Seinfeld of rap.
Sounds like mumble rap.
@@zaqqazThe big difference is Beastie boys have flow and sick beats! Mumble rap is saying one word over and over again with a autotuned vocal 😂
If u want to hear a hill billy rap, u should try bubba sparxx, ugly
Bumblebee is the best Transformers movie and the second one is the worst.
Nobody likes philthy 😂
🔥
