@@kumodohaizi7234 I think Darby has a unique tenacity to make it work though. I’ve never seen someone hit a faster, more explosive and aggressive suicide dive for instance. In fact most of his offence is hurling himself 100MPH at his opponents, it’s interesting and creates great opportunities for the heel to catch his light weight and ‘punish’ his attempt. Guevara and JB suck balls, though.
I see what Cornette and Konnan meant. Rush was too offensive and Jungle Boy was too...not ready for a title shot.

So many things wrong with this segment. Rush making a world title contender look like shit, Preston Vance with the weakest and fakest looking punches and kicks. Darby with the awkward tackle. "Heel" Sammy coming out to assist the babyfaces. I feel bad for MJF having to have this match. Should have been him vs Darby all along without the other two involved.
Quit acting like jungle boy should be a world title contender when he realistically wouldn't cut it as a cruiserweight in any era. Why would Rush sell alot for Sammy? Sammy's only a little bit bigger than Jungle Boy. Honestly it should have just been Darby and MJF If we HAD to go that route.

I'm saying this only because of the fact that he has been booked as a title contender for the main even of the PPV this Sunday. If you are Rush, your job is to go out there and make him look good (as ridiculous as it sounds considering the size, yes). MJF vs Darby would be a main even people would pay to see, but yes, throwing these two other mid carders in just bring this main event down to mid show material. This is sad for Jungle Boy. You can see Rush is trying to motivate JB because he knows no matter how hard JB hits him, he is not going to do anything but at least he can fire him up. But it looks like JB was trying to but he is just too small and weak and not motivated at all. It's like Rush is forcing and bullying a guy who is undermotivated and maybe even depressed with something.
There might be some truth to that, but it definitely seems like Rush simply can't be bothered to sell for anyone. Not that I'm a jungle boy fan; I honestly think he's the shits, as is his attitude but there's a certain humorous irony to a supposed world title contender getting absolutely dog walked by a much bigger, stronger and more experienced opponent before squeaking out a lucky win and managing to look even weaker than before the opening bell that I can't help but find rather amusing.
@@joolsmacgrools1288 This was one of the problems with this pairing. You have a guy the size of JG wrestling a guy the size of Rush. How can you justify a solid clean win for JB in this match?
You can see JB's facial expressions, the dude just didn't want to be there. There was a clear lack of motivation so why would Rush sell for someone like that? Especially when this guy is the one who has a main event title shot coming up?
Putting aside Rush's selling, I just think he was trying to motivate the kid and tell him to actually put some effort into his attacks if Rush is going to do the job for him.
It wouldn't make sense for Rush to dominate JB all match and then JB just gets a random roll up win at the end. How does that elevate JB for his title match? I think Rush was trying to get more out of JB, especially after that attitude issue and what JB said during that convention.
Well that's when you get Rush off his feet then as he starts to get back up, chair shots! 😊

I think Rush has potential but if they're not going to give him a serious program, just cut him loose. He definitely seems to have an ego about him, and he also came off very stiff and reckless in this match. He just beat the absolute piss out of Jungle Boy from pillar to post the entire match and sold almost nothing. If Tony has any balls he wouldn't let one of his top title contenders be in a position to be made to look so very weak and pathetic. But I can't say I feel all that bad for Jungle Boy either, because his work is bad and his attitude is even worse. A pip squeak like him doesn't even belong in top title contention, and certainly not with his lack of passion.

Unprofessional though he was, there's a part of me that agrees. At times it seemed like he was trying to evoke some fire out of Jungle Boy; 'Hit me like you mean it, kid!' was the impression I got. But he still beat the absolute dog shit out of him the entire time and sold almost nothing. It's a weird situation, both because Jungle Boy doesn't belong at the top of the card in any capacity, and Rush seems to know this and took it up on himself to beat some respect into him. Not that I agree with his approach, it was more than a little unprofessional. But... I almost get it.

The match isn't buried. Darby and Sammy are both entertaining and high tier, and MJF is one of the best in the business right now. It just shows some wrestlers like JB are undeserving of their pushes, and have a lot of work still to do. Of the "pillars", he is certainly the one that hasn't lived up to his expectations. Their are better talents more deserving of being a "pillar" than JB.
Well in defense of Rush I don't know how anyone could sell Jungle Boys chops? I think that is what they are supposed to be anyway.
