I've had the chance to see the LX line in person and I'm impressed with the quality. I think you guys missed the mark in terms of size and not pricing on the LX line. When you look at the demographics of "who" can actually afford to purchase a flagship boat from any manufacturer cause lets face it, they're all over 100k now, where does that customer live? 2-3 car garage, HOA land suburbia. Most of us are hard capped on garage space. I think you guys eliminate a large potential customer pool by having your 20 footers actually be 21ft boats. That being said, I want a VLX 20 because it actually fits in my garage and I want the chiller plate and I'll pay for it. Chuck am I going to have to wait until the rest of the market is willing or can/will you guys make one offs?

When insulating a cooler is ground breaking... The bass boat industry has been abusing customers for years. Imagine having those under deck compartments finished and user friendly for maintenance and upgrades. Everything IKON is doing is long overdue in the industry.
I'll admit I bashed the hell out of Ikon when they first introduced their lx21. They always seemed like high quality but that price tag was sickening. I was surprised with the price of the vlx21 considering the specs of the boat. Still needs a hydraulic jack plate as standard though. Many of the other manufacturers claim to be "for the fishermen" but continue to release new model boats at inflated prices. No one is asking for new model boats, we're asking for affordable boats. Ranger's aluminum 20ft boat (with carpeted lockers) will be very similarly priced to what I anticipate the vlx20 to be and that speaks volumes of what the manufacturers really think of their customers and the market. I hope the vlx20 will be sub 70k and I hope they sell like crazy as one big f-you to Ranger and all the other boat brands who will forever be remembered for taking advantage of the fishermen while pretending to be "one of us." Interesting times for sure.
It would be nice if the Ikon boat builder would be like Vexus boat builder !

The VLX21 has a starting NAP of $73,450 and can't even be optioned up to over $100k.

One 22 inch screen is 4500 I'm pretty dure u can get it up to 120k, does it come with power piles, power pole move power pole charge, lithium Batts, 2 ffs transducers? Didn't think so don't forget tax lol well over 100, I guess if u wanted to water ski behind it and that's it it isn't a bad deal

@@Theburningseason you can put whatever you want on it aftermarket. From the Factory, the VLX series has factory options that won’t go over $100k.
Just so you’ll win, I guess you could put $81k in aftermarket electronics on a $20k boat and be able to complain that it’s over $100k. The bottom line is the VLX21 has a starting NAP of $73,450. Factory options that take it up a well-rigged tournament ready boat won’t go over $100k. So, your quote of it being $120k is not accurate.
@@ChuckPippinBassFishing like I said well over 100 if u want a boat that is worthy of tourney of fishing and just not water skiing , not arguing with ya but we both can agree you'll be close to 120 to compete in tourneys, yea for ikon the starting price is good but in the grand scheme all boat prices are a rip off
