I enjoyed this story time so much, yes I have taken care of my sisters child. When my sister had her first child, he weighed 4.8kg, up till today we still wonder why they did not do a C.S, because she was open to that option, she had episiotomy, they didn’t even do it well, she had to go back to another hospital twice, to get restitched. To cut the long story short, my mum stayed for one month and had to leave, so I replaced her, I will bathe my nephew, cook for my sister and her husband (most times they eat different things) stay up at night with my nephew (he slept in my room throughout my stay there), during the day, when I think I’m going to sleep, I have to be there for my sister because she was dealing with PTSD. It was stressful, but for her and my nephew I’ll do it again.

They both left my house .left me with my 8month old baby
My mom had to bring a 13 year old to stay with me .

So good of you to have helped your sister. I also helped my cousin when she had her first 2 kids cuz I was out of school & job hunting at the time. Unfortunately, those things don't happen that often again. Every babe now has turned to slay mama. Most younger ones are not even willing to help out their older siblings still having babies, some that eventually agree will have their phones in their hands 98% of the time till you get exhausted worrying that their neglect could even lead to more serious issues. Knowing what I know now, I would say my cousins enjoyed having me around cuz I was a big help to then & it also in turn equipped me with experiencenow that I have my own kids.

This video was just what I needed at this moment. Currently 4 months postpartum and I almost hit my baby yesterday out of frustration and exhaustion. I had to remind myself that she’s a baby and she’s not trying to frustrate me. Been solely caring for her since she was a month old cos working grandma left before Omugwo finished and hubby has to work as well. No luck trying to find a domestic help too. I had a C-section as well, I’m really struggling and I’m just hoping it gets better soon 😢

I hope I get to have this experience. I helped all my siblings with theirs even aunts too. I loved all my omugwo experiences cos I love kids and I am a physician so it feels easy.
