Boge Quinn (gunblast.com/) tests Henry® USA's Big Boy Color Case Hardened Carbine 44 Mag/44 Spl Side Gate. The Big Boy Color Case Hardened Side Gate series is offered in two configurations (20-Inch Rifle with Standard Lever Loop, or 16.5-inch Carbine with Big Lever Loop), and three calibers (38 Special / 357 Magnum, 44 Special / 44 Magnum, and 45 Colt). We tested the 44 version, and found it to be accurate, rugged, reliable, and beautiful.

Just Wanted To Say ... Boge You've Done A Fine Job of Filling in For Your Brother Jeff ❤ We All Miss Him 💔
Thank you. I miss him every day.
My Dad got me this weapon and I love it. U.S.A. and Henry #1 and My Dad, he ‘s my “Real Life Hero”! Great review. I have the brass plate.
Competition between the Henry lever-actions and the Ruger/Marlin lever-actions will serve to keep their respective manufacturers at the top of their lever-action game. Thanks for the Jeff clip, Boge! 👍
That CCH is amazing and the octagon barrel takes that tool to a whole new lever of cool.
Just got one of these in 357 with a 20 inch barrel. Only took me 2 years to find one but dang was it worth the wait! She is a thing of beauty and a nice example of excellent craftsmanship. It was quite pricey but worth it. Buy once, cry once.
I plan on picking mine up in less than two weeks! Very excited!!
@@WheresTheM3tal you will like it. Feels like quality every time you pick it up
Thank you for the Skinner sight recommendation. Color case hardening will match nicely. I am getting in to the old style guns and getting away from the modern stuff.
Great rifle fun to shoot, I picked up the 20” barrel model two years ago, thanks for the review
Excellent gun!
I got the carbine in the golden boy and I like it a lot!
I would rather have the 20" like yours.
Enjoy!
Thanks for keep in this channel going. I'll always enjoy You guys
Beautiful carbine, Boge! I love its appearance. I would probably go with the 20 inch model with the standard lever. I really like the octagonal barrel and color casehardening. Thanks for bringing it to us.
Beautiful boom stick!
Great video! I just purchased the rifle version in 45 Colt to match my revolver. Very happy. It's a beautiful firearm. Thanks!
Henry’s are really nice, and this new offering looks promising. Glad to see lever guns are still going strong.
I have that exact rifle chambered in 38/357, it's great and a lot of fun at the range.
been waiting3 months with a down payment for 2 of these in case hardened octagonal barrel... a 45 colt and a 357. my dealer which was the only one in the state of Minnesota that would even try, told us 6 months to a year wait. Henry wrote back to us and they said they have NO control over who get what. we will wait 6 months then my dealer said the down payment can go to are 2nd choice from Taylor Firearms which is fine. I all ready have Taylor runn' iron 45 COLT SAA. We shall see. thanks for the share.
I had to wait 6 months for mine to arrive.
@@russmichael1165 Thank you for telling me. I did not know anyone else. We wanted these and talked about it for 5 years finally have the cash, so 6 months will be worth the wait, hoping the laws do not ruin the fun, bu then👍
@@joemann3536 you are most welcome, in my opinion they are worth the wait. Hope you enjoy them for many years.👍
Great video Boge!! Love the lever guns brother!
Very nice
5:50. Front sight is not centered. Bought one in 357 magnum recently with the same issue. Not a big deal, but it defeats the the purpose of the windage adjustable rear sight. Nevertheless it's a beautiful gun and enjoyable to shoot.
Many of us choose to drift the front sight rather than try to move the rear
Good looking gun. Great video!
Most people will think the retail price is too much when they come up. With the new top of the line 460 or 500 CDL it will be a bargain
I been looking at this exact rifle. Nice little handy rifle
even 22 lr in lever reliabel i want a lever but feild strip one kinda worries me
Happy New Years to you and yours!
Great video!
Thanks!
Man that’s a beautiful rifle ! I want this exact rifle ! Do u have its model number !

Would like to buy one but, Where I live,Good luck finding one
I bought this exact rifle from kygunco Couldn’t find in store anywhere in this configuration Anyway , it’s gorgeous and will hold value Recommend!
Great video 🙂☕👍
Thank you 👍
I used to always want a golden boy really bad ever since I first seen one but when I got the opportunity to shoot them they’re so clunky and crunchy that want went away. I shot really used to brand new and it’s nothing like the Rossi m92 I decided on instead. It was nice before I polished the internals but now it’s slick. Never was a fan of the front tube loading either. Glad they came around to side loading but the action is still a deal breaker
When you can’t afford a nicer Henry, you buy a Rossi
Howdy! Maybe it's just the microphone but the Action sounds a Lil low on oil....?
Amazing Rifle Boge I love it God-bless you be Safe
I think Henry sends the receivers out to Tyler gun works in Texas for the color case hardening, is that true ?
Yes, it is.

i want the 38/357 carbine, but the one looked short on you. I might need the 20 inch rifle. How did it feel?
I love the carbine length, but the 20" is not overly long.
👍🙂👍
