Whenever Nintendo delays something by a year, it’s a sure sign that they’re taking it seriously and it’s going to be good. It’s almost like they’re treating this like one of their triple A games.

"THE TOAD" is likely who you were calling "Captain Toad."
He has a backpack in the poster, but he's definitely not Captain Toad. Captain Toad had a red vest, while this one has a blue one.
I just really hope this movie is good 😭 its nintendo so they could either be extremely protective with their properties and make something genuinely great, or throw all of that out the window and let illumination turn it into a trainwreck
I was already pretty hopeful for this movie, this poster just increased my faith in Illumination ten fold!!! It looks so beautiful, seeing the mushroom kingdom in all of it's glory. Those huge round mountains also look so mesmerizing, the scale looks so HUGE. It looks so full of life!

Actually, red toads almost always have blue vests, not just *the* Toad. However, there are some specific games where the red toads have red vests, like Sunshine and the Galaxy games.
