Omni Man Tribute, this show is so much sadder when you look back at the things Omni Man said about his family and what he did to them hopefully this sad edit makes you cry.

@@funnydudeguyman6114 I think what I got from it was that he genuinely loved his son and wife so he didn’t want to enslave earth while they were still alive. 1 hundred years to omni man is insignificant so he really didn’t mind waiting. His plan changed when mark got powers because that meant mark would live as long as him. The reason why he started his attack on earth right after instead of waiting is because he was probably afraid of mark becoming too much of a threat later on.
@@zaheerbhuya i really doubt he saw mark as becoming a threat. I rather think he wanted to have someone by his side when doing his job. Or he hoped for mark to die like you said, and do it then, but seeing as he wouldn' die it made no sense to wait longer. So he killed the guardians to weaken earths defenses, like his job commanded.

I feel like in the first scene when Nolan went silent and serious after knowing Mark got his power saying "Are u sure?" It's not mean't as in "finally my son has a superpower now we both can rule the world" But more so "No..... Why does it have to be this early.... There's still so much life we can enjoy normally"

I think that if Mark turned out to be human he would have just waited for them to die of old age in peace before taking over the world. That is why he was sad at Mark getting his powers. Now he had no option but to destroy everything in front of his family, which he truly loved despite everything he said.

I think what Nolan wanted was for Mark to not get his superpowers, he wanted them to live a happy life and then when the time comes when both of them pass away (Mark and Debbie), as they are human after all, he would go on to take over the world.

Maybe Omniman wanted Mark to be a human, that way he could let him and his mother live full lives, after their deaths he could accomplish his mission, but Mark got his powers and knew either way he would be around and if he didn’t do anything he was gonna end up an earth defender which inevitably he did, thats why i think he killed the guardians as soon as Mark got his powers

sure, we get connected to these characters and they mean something to us, especially when they are tested in such intense ways - like an estranged father beating the son he is trying to invalidate in his own mind, to separate himself from the guilt of hurting his own boy.
but, losing someone you've loved...
losing a person that meant the world to you...
losing the thing that kept you looking forward to the future, the reason for your continued eagerness for life?
when that happens, it's less sadness and more... desperation - desperation to find any reason to keep going.
and that's not the kind of fleeting sadness that goes away after a few days, or weeks, or months, or years, or lifetimes.
it's a permanent burden that you have to carry, even if continuing on without them is worse than death itself.

Damn this hit so hard. This show did the "twist" villains so perfectly. I like the we know from the beginning what he did to the Guardians, because we're conflicted the rest of the show. Just like everyone else, we truly wonder WHY Nolan did what he did. He a good, loving, and providing father and husband. He saved people all the time. We along with the characters have to wonder why he did it. We KNOW Nolan did something bad, but we kept getting shown he's good deep down. When I watched the final episode, I don't think I could ever forgive what Nolan did as a character. I have never been more shock, horrified, and disgusted by someone's actions(and that's from a horror movie fan!). But... I still cried like a little baby when the baseball scene happened. Nolan was enjoying his life as a dad... learning to love human life. This edit did so many things right- the cut between the first punch Nolan did to him beating Mark just- AH hit me right in the heart. I love that you saved the part where he goes "Dad," and Nolan looks down and responds for the end. Though the "you dad" line is iconic, the fact that Nolan responds to Mark... it's clear that to Nolan, he will always be Marks dad, no matter what mistakes he made. Mark will always call Nolan dad, and Nolan will always respond to being called Dad.

He may killed people, destroyed some planets, but still he did his role as a Father to Mark and a good husband to Debbie because Mark and Debbie are the only important thing that he ever had in his life even though it's just 20 years..

I'm not a native english speaker, and i watched the show in my native language, the voice actor for Nolan did a ass whopping of a job in portraying the character in every way possible, from the good dad, to the Blood thirsty racional being that is omni man.
What makes this more sad is, what if during his fight this was what was moving through Nolan’s mind.

i love how u swapped the punches. at the beginning he actually punches mark with some strength and it hurt. he was growling and all but the true pain was when he faced him off and that's where u put the ouch dad that hurts part.

I've always wondered how mark would do against other Viltrumites. I mean I know he got the shit beat out of him against his dad, but I remember them saying something about his dad being one of the most elite Viltrumite warriors. I just can't help but think that mark would do at least a little better than he did against his dad against an average Viltrumite. If his dad is one of the strongest Viltrumites the fact that he has his dad's blood might make him superior to average Viltrumites.

This is the reason I decided to watch the show, I never regret it.

He also killed the other heroes on earth and thousands of innocent people. But it’s sad because it’s father and son you should watch it👌🏾
