Docter madam plz tell me how to leave Buprenorphine 2mg & naloxone0.5 tablets I take. Per day 3 tablets last 2 years docter madam I want to leave him plz help me 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Personal experience and peer experiences says otherwise... I was an opiate addict for a decade, currently on Buprenorphine for 5 years now. Withdrawal symptoms from Buprenorphine are twice as bad as opiates, dependency is just as bad.
I agree. Was on everything during active cancer treatment & then ended up taking Suboxone & then suddenly stopped Suboxone and was worst withdrawals than anything been on.
I'm an active addict using on top of 60ml methadone and going on a rapid reduction in 2 weeks to get to 30ml then switching straight to the dissolvable tab, I've bin using for over 15 years and tried everything except this, is it a blocker and is the withdrawal worse than methadone would anyone know? I know alot about addiction and spoken about and bin in treatment a good few times but still would like anyone's thoughts on it if possible, I just need to know if it's a blocker like legit as that'll stop the thought process of scoring, sorry for the rant lol I jus had to get it out while I cud lol hope everyone's doing well
Canada anyone?
Next time methadone andcor xanax bup is next. In 2905 my doc said we have a new miracle pill. No withdrawal at all. That lying sob. Was young and on paper. When I violated I didn't sleep more than 5 to 10 minutes every few days. 54 days in I fell asleep and woke up six hours later a new man. They should try this shit instead of reading up on it. I sadly have over 2p years of drug abuse. Methadone maintenance for last 15 plus years. Just quit 180 or tapered down over 2 months then jumped on the bup train to level down before I try to completely quit this shit. But during the precipitated withdrawal and started hunting misery relief. Most these docs talking shit have no clue. A 2 day to week sickness instead of a month plus and a while after that for ya head to get right. They FOS
Dealers have changed looks nowdays... Still keen on selling their stuff...
I puked my guts out on that stuff which only makes severe back pain that much more difficult.
Gotta start low dose. You probably took 8mg witch is was to much at first
Not cool
From what my doctor and pharmacist said (I have yet to start, I’m waiting for opioid withdrawal to happen first which, I think is ass backwards) the does of buprenorphine dose and the narcotic dose should be of approximately equal strength. If not it’s not going to balance. Best of luck to everyone.
I have been terribly sick from taking that med. It's been 6 months. I had to take myself off. And I still cannot find any doctor who will help
So at the end of my life (@82) I have to stay home and suffer. What's the sense? A drug free old person.? Yeah !
Canada anyone?
I would appreciate it if you can talk more about medications for chronic illness and back pain and how to manage the mental side effect like depression and so on
She just did. Pay attention. No pain. No depression. Usually. Definitely better than pain pills
This drug is prescribed for pain as well this drug has pain relieving properties, all opioids or opioid antagonists use part of our central brain which causes us to feel that euphoria feeling in the beginning of taking any narcotic pain pill which are ( serotonin ) and (endorphins)
If continue taking any kind of these meds it will eventually bleed your "happy fuel" dry therefore you must keep a balance to combat depression. Taking a mood enhance which makes you build serotonin levels easier and faster is key keep trying diff. Meds that fits with you it takes time, diet full of green fruits for antioxidants, 500mg of vitamin C to help replenish serotonin levels so it can work together with mood stabilizer pills for depression is what worked for me.
Balance is your answer.
Thanks Dr. Please also make a video on pain treatment options for patients with Ahler danloss symptoms EDS
I already have a video about EDS.
Dr. ANDREA FURLAN THANKS
But it's very tuff to withdraw bupern
How about in mood swings, does it makes you more mad. Like let’s say your brother makes you mad. Does it make your nerves go haywire?
No.
Tķ u 4 talking in a slow clear manner
😂I used to be on buprenorphine and didn’t like it I now take methadone which is much better imo
Hi Josh, Thank you for sharing this information. Methadone is an opioid with great effect on neuropathic pain as it is an NMDA receptor antagonist.
Opposite for me 😮
Methadone is great but the wds from it are hell. I cold turkeyed 100mg and didnt sleep for awhile
U can still get high on other drugs while on methadone
@@DrAndreaFurlanhello doctor,.I am 82y old
In may my doc took me off Dilaudid and methadone cold turkey and put me on this med and made me so sick. N/V 24/7. I wanted to die. My doctor never responded to my calls. So I took myself off. It's been 7 months and I am still not well. At my age why🎉? So I can be a drug free old patient?
i use bruphenorphine for about 5 yrs..it's good for chronic pain..but i think it make me suffer so far
This is totally false. The withdrawals are much worse and last longer.
Dear @terri5757 I'm sorry to hear about your experience, but for the majority of people this is not the case.
@@DrAndreaFurlanRight you would know, sales lady
Based on what I’ve read, this compound has a long half life. This means the receptors are exposed to this for a long time.
But wouldn’t that make it harder to shake dependence off it compared to a compound with a shorter half life ?
I’m sure this is a deep technical subject and it would be as difficult for you to explain as it would be for me to explain partial differential equations in a CZcams thread.
It's much worse. Much more intense and DRAMATICALLY longer.
Can I get this madicen in Canada??
Yes
Do not
It's honestly a case by case scenario some bodies accept it better than most like all medications. In the beginning take a small amount not a full dose just like doing perc 30s you have to break your body in for it before taking a full 8mg dose. The Naloxone is myth it doesn't do anything for the half life on it is way shorter and the amount of it in the drug is too miniscule to have any effect against the bupe. causing people to abuse the drug.
Regardless it is a miracle drug and helped me get clean while being dependent on heroin and fenty for 5 years the problem resides...
Your body learns to use buprenorphine as a crutch and can become addicted to it and when you do the withdrawals are the worse for the mental gymnastics it puts you through and physical side effects as well. If you do Start on this drug becareful follow your prescription to the T if your doctor is telling you to be on it longer than 3 - 6 months he is lying to you start to taper off it by month 4 slowly by slowly do not begin the cycle that big pharma wants you to be stuck in.
beat the system, get clean, get the fuck out im rooting for you. Need advice I here as recovering heroin addict.
What dose of buprenorphine would be equivalent to a 30 milligrams dose of methadone ?
There is no calculation to transform methadone to buprenorphine. Each patient has to be assessed and the conversion has to be estimated.
Anything more than 16mg of bupe is a waste. 16 is even a high dose.
2 mg i have switched by my self at home
Hi Doc; Thanks for bothering with us with your time. I' have just switched to this buprenorprin so yeah good knowledge I have always used lowest dose of opioid been on for 16 years will for the rest of my life. DDD so I'm glad to know it's safer but working better I dk I'm might need a stronger dose. I layed down to sleep & I woke up sweaty & feeling sick. Does this stop or go away and if so how long does tis take. Now my ankles hurt. Taking Gabapentin also. I'm needing pain med for life. Older adult 66 COPD no problems, so I hope I lik it I hate tryilng to get a pee test every 3 mos. rediculosis I have been using opioids & never increased dose but now need more pain med. stronger or more. So I hope this works. Is there a higher dose? I would hate to use Methodone.
Good information mam... Thanks..
Thank you for this. My doctor and I are talking about this now. I’m 81 chronic pain from fall off ladder at work hitting head on solid concrete floor. 🙏🏻
Glad to hear it is helpful.
Its not i have been on this and is very painfull to come off so text books for learning about this are wrong
is it ok to use it long term for chronic pain
Please check with your doctor.
How do you taper of the patches. With codiene I just cut the tablets.
Now I have to go back on the codiene to compensate coming of the patches.
I could stay on the patch but after 20 years they are not sticking and they only work on the lower back.
Unfortunately I cannot get 4 mcg patches or cut them in half.
It's 8 days with no patches. Ain't good but what else can I do.
The only thing I feel like you lied about is the withdrawals they are way worse than heroin
Starting subs tomorrow. Planning to use it for a week at the most (to beat the cold turkey) and try to stay clean. What say you?
Why take bup for pain its proven not to work. The bup gonna kick they opiods into outerspace and they gonna hurt like hell. Safer option than opiods but its not for peopke in pain. Its for recovering ju kies like me sadly. It is wgat it is though.
A message to anyone who needs to hear it, use this if you are mod to heavy user and want to get off.
Day 1 16 mg
Day 2 8 mg
Day 3 8 mg
Day 4 8 mg
Day 5 8mg and take a laxative until you clear your bowels ( do not overdose but do it, it will unblock you, and believe you will be blocked )
Day 6 8 mg
Day 7 4 mg
Day 8 4 mg
Day 9 2 mg
Day 10 2 mg
Day 11 2 mg (hopefully you are going the toilet now, if not laxatives)
Day 12 2 mg
Day 13 1 mg
Day 14 1 mg
Day 15 1 mg
Day 16 it’s now that you grab your stones and kick it, if your ready you will know, remain on 1mg until 20 day max!!!!
By day 20 the rattle will be manageable. I’m not a doctor so disclaimer not medical advice, but I know.
DO NOT CONTINUE OVER 20 DAYS!!!!!!
Many people need to take their bupropion taper much, much slower than that or they will fail. I have done enough research to know. You need to give your body time to adjust to the new dose. At the very minimum you should half your dose about every 2 weeks. If you start feeling withdrawals after dropping then try adding a piece of a strip at your worst time of the day, perhaps at bedtime to deal with restless legs and other withdrawal symptoms. Stay on that for about another week.then go back to the original amount you wanted to taper to. When you get down to 2mg it’s going to get more difficult. You need to start cutting your strips. If you are on 2mg go down to go 1.5mg. Stay there for 2-3 weeks. When you get down to 1mg start going down very slowly. Take 3/4 of a mg for 3-4 weeks, then 1/2mg for 3-4 wks. 1/4 x3-4wks, Then do what’s called chipping. Take micro pieces until you feel ready to jump. I’ve heard many, many people say just the tiniest piece can keep you out of withdrawals once you taper down. Yes, it sounds like a lot of work and a lot of time, but if you truly want to find a successful way to get off Suboxone/Buprenorphine this is the way to go. Don’t try to rush getting off, it will likely derail your success. Some people take a year to taper. I’m not saying you need to do that but the slower you take it, especially once you get under about 3-4 mg the better your chances are. Good luck!
I would not attempt to jump at 16 mg especially after having a rapid taper. Buprenorphine is a strong medication that stays in your system a long time. You need to do a long so taper to be successful. I’m not sure where needing to take laxatives comes in to play? If you were constipated at your original dose you won’t be any more constipated at a lower dose.
It does not cause less withdrawls. The withdrawls are at least twice as bad then coming off of straigh heroin. This is obviously coming from a person whos never taken suboxone or heroin. If you havent gone through it you have no right to be talking like you know because you just dont.
Anybody saying the wd from bup is easier doesn’t know or they’re lying to you while prescribing it to you. They don’t even want you off it they call it “maintenance” and treat it like the lesser of two evils
Yes
I was given temgesic (i hated it) for pains tbey were telling me were "all in my head"... they never told me it was an opioid. I told them it was making me sick and I could feel "like a witbdrawal symtoms" but they just told me I was making it out and left me all on my own to deal with the withdrawals and the pain. I was on heavy Xanax prescription too, withdrawals were awful. Those doctors are just evil.
There are evil people.
Exactly. Every aspect of coming off of bupe is far worse than any other opiod in my experience. One of my biggest regret is starting bupe on a higher dose. The withdrawal takes 24 hours to really set in and lasts for months for symptoms to ease up and is very intense.
Thousands of people agree, the withdrawal is MUCH WORSE AND MUCH LONGER THAN ANY OTHER OPIOD. Lol speaking from EXPERIENCE.

How are you now ??? DONT START BUPENORFINE DUDE. it's better 8-10 days withdrawal of heroin than 1 month of bupenorfine😢

What will be the minimum maintenance dosage of buprenorphine & naloxone?
2 mg strips per day
No you can go far lower, even half a mil
So bupe does work for pain now?? I was told it doesn't and they can't prescribe it for pain
Butrans patch is indicated for pain.
it's a strong opioid narcotic so yea, ofc it works for pain. Only It's main use is as suboxone for like heroin addicts. A better, safer alternative to Methadon.
I took it for pain and couldn’t stop vomiting for a week straight. Maybe it works for other people but for me not so much.
It helps with the pain bit, it has made my withdraws last longer. I was on it and, everyday I had to take it because if I didn't my withdraws were horrible.
It does work for back pain but, it creates its own withdraws. I was on it and, the withdrawals were as severe as when I took Percocet. I got to the point where I just couldn't take anymore and, I have now gone cold turkey for over a week because the more I take the meds, the longer my withdrawals kept lasting.
How can i ignore this f*** drugg.please help me😢
Does this work to take the pain away?
Barely.
Is it ok to take alcohol while on buprenorphine
Stupid question
This is a valid question. It is not recommended to mix alcohol with any opioid (including buprenorphine) because both are sedating and may cause overdose.
No you will vomit hard . I did it once and it sucks...
Please help i m from India . In India I use addnok 2mg . Now I am in Canada . I want addnok where and how I got addnok

I used Subutex to stop tramadol withdrawal for 2 month when i stop will i have bad withrawal, please respond thanks 🙏
Not if u taper off. Can't believe they put on that for tramadol tho 🤦 it's harder to get off subs than tramadol. Taper and talk to ur family doctor. Good luck
It's very hard widrawal then trama
Subs withdrawal is a bitch. It last and last for a long time. Quitting tramadol cold turkey would have been waayyyy easier. Try tapering and jump off asap.

Try to reduce the doses little by little... no doctor is going to help you, they'll just tell you there is no such thing as an addiction to buprenorphine 😂
