I have to confess I did the same thing to my Giordano.... I have a slightly different Giordano (an aluminum frame model) and I converted it into a Trek clone. The only part I did differently was I vinyl-wrapped over the areas I wanted to cover instead of painting over them. Then I applied the Trek vinyl stickers over that. Clear-coated too so they hold up well.
