Iron wasn't of tremendous interest until very late in the Hittite empire, as bronze is actually superior (less brittle, doesn't corrode as dramatically). It took centuries of advances in mining and forging iron for it to begin replacing bronze. Dr. Neiman is spot on with his statements on iron and Sumerian writing and law.

“(History of Ethiopia, Vol. I., Preface, by Sir E. A. Wallis Budge.) In addition Budge notes that, “Homer and Herodotus call all the peoples of the Sudan, Egypt, Arabia, Palestine and Western Asia and India Ethiopians.” (Ibid., p. 2.) Herodotus wrote in his celebrated History that both the Western Ethiopians, who lived in Africa, and the Eastern Ethiopians who dwelled in India, were black in complexion, but that the Africans had curly hair, while the Indians were straight-haired.” “Before the Chaldean rule in Mesopotamia, there were the empires of the Sumerians, Akkadians, Babylonians and Assyrians. The earliest civilization of Mesopotamia was that of the Sumerians. They are designated in the Assyrio-Babylonian inscriptions as Ug-Sag-Gig-Ga which means the black-heads or black-faced people, and they are shown on the monuments as beardless and with shaven heads. This easily distinguishes them from the Semitic Babylonians, who are shown with beards and long hair. From the myths and traditions of the Babylonians we learn that their culture came originally from the south. Sir Henry Rawlinson concluded from this and other evidence that the first civilized inhabitants of Sumer and Akkad were immigrants from the African Ethiopia. John D. Baldwin, the American Orientalist, on the other hand, claims that since ancient Arabia was also known as Ethiopia, they could have just as well come from that country.

So many people saying history beings with wars or victors or water or fertile lands means people don't know what history is.
History is the written account of events. The oldest of which is from the Sumer civilization some time around 3000BC. Anything before that date is not history, it is pre-history ie. before there were written accounts of events.

    >> An agglutinative language is a type of synthetic language with morphology that primarily uses agglutination: words are formed by joining phonetically unchangeable affix morphemes to the stem. In agglutinative languages, each affix is a bound morpheme for one unit of meaning (such as "diminutive", "past tense", "plural", etc.), instead of morphological modifications with internal changes of the root of the word, or changes in stress or tone. In an agglutinative language, stems do not change, affixes do not fuse with other affixes, and affixes do not change form conditioned by other affixes.
The term was introduced by Wilhelm von Humboldt to classify languages from a morphological point of view.[1] It is derived from the Latin verb agglutinare, which means "to glue together".

@cat magic First of all you know nothing about Sumer and Sumerians and Mesopotamia and Midlle East. The Sumerians were White Nordic bleu-eyed people who came to settle down south of Iraq over 7000 BC and they were in Midlle east before Akadians. What is ridiculous you like Arabs you dont know the difference between Semitic people like Arabs, jews, many nations and Akadians and Sumerians.Sumerians were Non semitic nation who spoke a non semitic language like that doesnt belong to any linguistic branche. The Hitites didnt came from Akad but from unknown civilization that disapeared long time ago and they were fearless blond haired bleu-eyed warriors .The Hitites like Sumerians were non semitic people who spoke indo- European language.
Americans and people who have poor education like Americans , Kurds and others think that all inhabitants of Midlle East must be Arabs and semitic .Well excuse me allow me to to explain: The RH DNA and Nordic non semitic appeared first in Mesopotamia and Middle East before Europe 120000 Bc .How that happened : The first presence of Arabs was in yemen the source of Arabic nations and Iraq and Syria 7000 bc were ruled only by three sperated nations : Non semitic Nordic nation the Sumerians and Semitic nations like Akadians And other semitic nations. The Non Semitic race the Sumerians wete extinct 3000 years bc .Arabs immigrated to Syria and Iraq 2000 years ago only or less than that .HITITES dispeared long time ago and there were immigration towards Europe .

@VonManavis so according to your theory history begins w/ monoplast? What you're talking is the beginning of archeological "epoch"; history begins when there's writing to record it, or in a broader sense whenever a city wall was built, and w/ an apparent ruling institution established.

Lots of similarities in Turkish and Hungarian writing and some words, but i'm no specialist in this. I speak Hungarian and do know that one can add tons of suffixes to a word, eventually creating a monster out of it! LOL! Luckily, the accent is always on the first syllable. From there, you pronounce everything phonetically (if you know the rules of the various vowel pronunciations). Sadly, that language, like many others, will die by the next century. I am blessed to have known it.
I'm enjoying this series. Grateful for your sharing, as always.

Zoltan Juhasz Its pathetic how people like you try to make themselves feel better by claiming that since an old artifact was found in their country, they are superior. First of all, one piece of writing does not prove there was an advanced civilization in that region as it could've belonged to a traveler from another nation. Second of all, Hungary takes its name from the Huns, a Turkic tribe that emigrated into Europe under the reign of Attila the Hun. So stop spamming every video of this channel with your nonsense or present solid evidence of continuous settlement in the region you are talking about.

Zoltan Juhasz Thanks for blabbering more nationalist propaganda nonsense and proving my point. Provide, if you can, proof of civilized life which is by definition prolonged settlement in towns and cities. Magyars were nomads that moved from one land to another on horseback. Sumer has traces of permanent settlements since 6000 BC and unfortunately, no matter how blindly you like to believe, there is no connection between Sumer and the Huns even if their original homeland was the same. Romans and Hittites were both Indo-European but no Roman ever tried to take credit for building Hattusa

Zoltan Juhasz You are repeating the same nonsense. The research you're referring to is an analysis of the Hungarian language. Let me repeat for the 10th time, where is the archaeological evidence that Huns and Magyars had permanent settlements and cities before the cities of Sumer? As far as history is concerned, they were nomads.

so what I'm confused about is if early egypt started in 3400 BC and sumer started in 4000 BC. how can sumer be the cradle of civilization if the egyptians were nubians who migrated to egypt then the nubians would have the oldest civilizations. seems like to me when people found out early egyptians were black they tried to find something else to fabricate.
