My conversation therapist was actually a secret gay. They are now my best friend, and my spawnpoints are pissed. Removing my spawnpoints from my life was so satisfying
Spawnpoints lmfao 😂
"spawnpoints", that is brutal, I'll have to remember that one 😆
Omfg legend. That is such a fucking creative alternative word- (but for any one who dosjt get it spawn points means parents)
Same thing happened to my friend!! I'll be a therapist and if anyone brings their kid in for conversion therapy I'll be their undercover gay too
omg, spawnpoints is perfect for homophobic parents lol
Had one of those solo protestors at a clinic in my neighborhood. Walked up to him with my friend and asked him which part of the Bible says abortion us wrong. Friend countered everything he said and when the guy asked how we knew what he was talking about, friend just said *I'm a pastor". Guy suddenly stopped showing up.
That’s awesome 👏
God what I wouldn't give for a pro-LGBTQ+ pastor (or at the very least one who isn't _ANTI_ LGBTQ+ and just kinda of the mindset of "you do you") to do this with all the homophobes/transphobes who talk about how the Bible is anti gay or whatever....
Like, just picking apart their arguments one by one (and pointing out all of the misconceptions and possibly even mentioning what things are mistranslation errors like the "man shall not lay with man" or whatever bit (a more accurate translation would be "man shall not lay with boy" i.e. don't be a p*dophile) while providing counter arguments with things that talk about how they're being un-christian by being openly homophobic since they're supposed to be kind and compassionate to others regardless of who they sleep with.
Because as someone who doesn't really read the Bible much at all I've noticed that the _SECOND_ you point out that they're not being very Christainly by being A-holes to LGBTQ+ people when they're supposed to be kind to them they tend to back off...so I would _LOVE_ to see someone who knows the Bible a lot better and who's not homophobic/transphobic (or at the very least actually follows the Bibles teaching despite that because they aren't _COMPLETE_ hypocrites who ignore various parts of the Bible in favor of going against what they percive as a sin) tearing into them.
Kudos to your friend 🫡
amen bro

FUN FACT!
It is illegal to cut down california redwood trees as it is an endangered species due to the over-harvesting of the species back during the gold rush in the 1860's!
ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT MOVE.
Not only is the mayor dealing with all those trees in revenge
but if he removes said trees he'll be breaking the law.
And removal is already going to cost a ton.
He's truly trapped in an impossible state...
The trees reign.
That is amazing! We get more redwoods and they represent pettiness!
Not so fun fact: the story is blatantly false. The user has a history of made up posts under different identities, the city has no recollection of any such incident, and redwoods cannot grow in drought-ridden south California
@@52flyingbicycles I kind of expected it, it turns out that way most of the time

I adore how that guy sacrificed his standing in the family to get his sister to follow her dream. The reality is he took the hit for being manipulative to prevent his sister from being forced into the family business. If she had done it on her own, all the hate her brother is getting would have been aimed at her. Considering that she is in school, the only reason she's mad is because it's a requirement to remain in the family's good graces. Toxic families suck.
Exactly. I hope she forgives him eventually though, they seemed to have a good relationship
She is probably also mad, that he lied to her. While he had good intentions he also abused her trust.
I have mixed feelings about this one.
There's probably also a dose of fear of her family turning on her for not joining the family business - if her brother went with her to the same school, they would be in it together instead of the family only turning on one
For anyone who's seen Code Geass, this is literally Lelouch. The method is definitely questionable, but the results speak for themselves.
The tree story was just perfect. They killed Clyde and his dad was all like “you killed my son and now you will suffer.” then planted 100 of the largest and longest living trees on the planet all over.
what even funnier is they legally cannot remove redwoods and sequoia's in California as they are a state protected tree
absolutely fucking amazing.
Sadly that story has been proven fake. But it's a fun fantasy story nonetheless

The guy who "manipulated" his sister into getting her into med school, their parents had already decided his sister's life course and it did NOT include going to med school or becoming a doctor and I highly doubt that it included having anything in her own name. It's painfully obvious to me that they had decided that she would help them with the "family business" until she found a husband and then her husband would step into place as the heir to the business. And that's *if* their plans for her included the possibility of her getting married *at all* to be honest. The pattern's just too obvious. So good on him for helping her get what she always wanted and the independence that comes with it.
Yeah, it sucks that the whole family, it seems, is against him, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do for someone else.
In my opinion he lost nothing and his sister gained everything. If you are stuck with a family that will actively lie in order to gaslight/manipulate a family member into feeling guilty. Then no matter how much good standing you may have, it shall all be lost in a moment upon the parents next mood swing.
The brother is left in the exact same position in the family he already had and the sister has now moved forward in life. There was no sacrifice and only benefits today.

No. They are too good for god.
Why would god make & allow people to be gay, then order & allow other people to torment them? Then there's the story of Job, and the incident with god ordering Issac's father to sacrifice him, gut his son Issac like a fish, just for the father to prove his loyalty to god.
God clearly enjoys our suffering, even from his most loyal followers like the man named Job, and god doesn't deserve our love, nor our respect. He deserves to have his teeth kicked in. God deserves to be sodomized and beaten to death.
God isn't good, he's an insecure, manipulative evil assh0le.

9:30 Fun fact: One time during WWII, a russian chef took down an entire german Panzer 38T with only an axe.
He bent the Machine gun with it and started yelling orders to his comrades (even though he was all alone) and the german crew got so scared that they bailed out and were captured by a random cook with an axe. Worst thing is: He did something similar A SECOND time by opening the commander's hatch on a Panzer IV and killing the crew with a grenade and then got inside the tank and machine gunned down the german infantry.
So yeah, don't underestimate the knight with the sword and the horse.

It's kind of sad that the sister for the doctor story was angry. Yeah, they lied, but it was to let you pursue your dream STACY.
I understand that she is angry as a first and maybe second reaction. But I think she will come around.
I once knew this guy who seemed really cool at first. Shortly after I met him he called me and my husband and told us he had locked himself out of his house and needed help getting into it. He gave me a couple of really cool very rare records and exchange for helping him get in and we also helped him move some of his stuff to a storage building because he was planning on moving out pretty soon because the rent had gotten to where it was too much for him to handle. Well it turns out that what we were actually doing was helping him Rob his grandmother. Obviously we gave her all her stuff back and told her what happened. Flash Forward again a couple of months and I wake up in the middle of the night because my dogs are going ham barking at the window. I look outside and someone is inside my car with a big black garbage bag putting things into it. It's 3:00 a.m. so I go and get my crossbow, I'm not recommending anybody do this I was seeing red I absolutely should not have done it but anyway I walk outside and yell to the guy with the f*** do you think you're doing. It's the same guy! He tries to tell me that he was just cleaning out my car for me, at 3:00 a.m. uninvited after not seeing him for months. So anyway I tell him I'm going to let my dogs loose and he takes off running, intending to shoot over his head but it was kind of dark I shot in his direction and shot his hat off of his head where it stuck in a tree behind him. He paused for a second turned and looked at the hat and took off running through the woods. His grandmother showed up the next day saying that her grandson had told her that he was visiting us and had gone for a walk in the woods and drop the keys to her car that he as it turns out had been using to go around the neighborhood stealing s*** out of people's cars. When he took off running the keys must have fallen out of his pocket in the woods and he was not man enough to come back himself to try to get his keys or find his keys so me and this tiny bird like 85-year-old woman walk through the woods for hours until we found the keys to her SUV while I explained to her that not only was he not at our house invited and walking through the woods with us that he had been breaking into my car and had lost her keys while running away.
I can’t imagine the fear he felt when his hat was struck off his head 😭 what a way to make sure he never bothered you again
Anything else? Like know what grandma did to him.
Holy crap that guy sounds like a freaking cartoon. Glad you didn’t get robbed!
the sheer terror that mustve been inflicted upon him turning to look at his hat. . .i think you just gave that man (well deserved) PTSD and all sorts of other psychological trauma
Wow. I'm worried for the grandmother. Sounds unlikely that she would willingly loan him her car after he robbed her. I hope someone is looking out for her and that she's not suffering elder abuse.
Chaotic is really just a “fine, I’ll do it myself” attitude wrapped up in being sick of everyone’s nonsense
This reminds me of how my mother wouldn't help me with my mental health (I had undiagnosed ADHD, and it was effecting me so much so that I couldn't get my work done because I couldn't concentrate on it for long enough no matter how hard I tried) so when we had family reunions and my aunts would ask the usual "how are you", instead of responding with the standard "I'm good", I instead said "I'm mentally unstable and my parents are refusing to do anything to help me" my mother tried to defend herself by saying she would've taken me to talk to my doctor if I had asked, (which wasn't true because she literally told me "oh yeah you definitely have it, but you can function so you're fine") I ended up having her schedule the doctor's appointment in front of them to make sure she wouldn't try to back out of helping me and my doctor was able to prescribe me the medication I needed. (My family had an intervention for me afterwards because "you can't just manipulate your mother like that and try to make your mother look bad in front of the family just because you feel like she's not good enough, she's still your mother" which thry convinced me wss true until I told my sister about and she used basic logic to help me see through the toxic)
Really glad your sister was there to help you through the toxic. And go you for figuring out a way to get the help you needed! If your mom wasn't going to help you, reaching out to other adults in your life is a great thing to do. The fact that she was ashamed when her own behavior toward you was exposed is not your fault, nor is protecting her pride your responsibility.
First of all, I’m sorry you were ever in the situation of knowing that you needed help and it being denied of you. I want to go into Psychiatry or Psychology for a career and really want to find a way to help people that have similar stories.
Second, I’m glad you were able to get the diagnosis that you needed, as someone who also has ADHD my diagnosis was life changing and I’m glad that you were eventually able to get what you needed. Your mom sounds horrible and the people who either “don’t believe in types of mental health conditions” or say “oh you can’t have this because this!” Make me so mad and I’m glad your sister was there to help you.
This is why "blood is thicker than water" is a toxic philosophy that no one should believe in. If your family is a bunch of shitty people, disown them at the earliest convenience and have a better life.
I honestly can't see why parents don't help children with their problems anymore, my parents ignore me when I tell them to take my brother to a mental hospital because he's definitely messed up- I personally think parents are supposed to be there for their kids, especially to help them with their problems. I'm glad you were able to get what you needed, and to realize they were toxic

10:19 This reminds me of my childhood friend. She loved this horse camp but it was heavily christian and pro conversion therapy. Thing is, she is bi. She ended up being a councillor there, tricking them on the application because she wanted to be a good councillor to them. Around the staff she would say the usual christian bullshit about conversion and sin but in a way that can hint to the kid that she was safe, but she would then hunt down the kids after to have a proper convo with them to help boost their self image and support them. She wasnt the only one that did that either. The network ended up being so good with the kids that they tended to assign them to the gay and trans kids to help "fix" them. The kids got in on it too. She did this for like 4 years and it never ceased to amaze me.
10:49 that's like literally the plot of a book I'm writing...
A gay italian-american kid who has lost all of his safe-places during the summer between his junior and senior year of high school, gets suggested a summer camp that promotes itself as conversion therapy but it's actually a wholesome supportive summer camp for queer youth. so he comes out to his family at dinner and then the early morning after leaves the brochure in the mailbox while walking his dog.
and the story is just like his summer at the camp.
If anyone's curious, the camp in the story is called "Camp St. Dorothy"(parents think saint=religious, but "friends of dorothy" is an old code name for gay people)
That sounds like a great story, I hope the writing is going well!

On the rigged cameras, it's a big thing. In the largest town in my county in AZ these cameras were installed at two stop lights and it was found that they deliberately shortened the yellow light in order to cause more citations. A referendum was put on the ballot to end them, explaining how they shortened the lights to increase citation rates. They did cause even more accidents as well. The citations were generating extra money for the police dept because of fines and were related to a private company making money off of them as well.
They were voted out of the city and didn't last a year before removal.
The longer the segment about the guy who uncovered the traffic camera conspiracy went on, the sentence “wake up samurai, we got a city to burn” was more and more agreeable

Omg y'all I live in the county this is happening in (& yes our gov't is hella corrupt - we have the "Hamptons" ffs, so guess what's in office cuz money talks & bullshit walks?) & it doesn't even BEGIN to cover it! Bonus points if that undercover good guy therapist collected all of the evidence of abuse happening at said re-education camp and delivered it to the authorities. There is as much abuse happening in those places as the phrase "forced re-education camp" would lead you to think.

20:00 about the traffic cameras targeting poor/middle class people; man, I am getting really upset about these types of things. There are so many stories of minorities being kept poor and being bullied by politicians. There is a sad reason why there are signs about not feeding the ducks. A lot of people feed the ducks bread. I was guilty of it too. But I found out that if ducks and other waterfowl eat too much bread and not a balanced diet, they can get angel's wing. Sounds pretty, but is deadly to wild ducks and other waterfowl because it makes it impossible for them to fly. Their wings grow improperly and the feathers stick out at an odd angle, giving the disorder its name. So, just watch the wild ducks and don't feed them.
Another important reasons why you shouldn't feed ducks (and other birds on water) is that the crumbs that fall into the water sink to the ground and mold and tip the whole balance of the pond/lake - in the end killing the fish and other water animals, too.
Yes, very true. I believe too much bread can also cause blockages in their stomachs and prevent them from digesting other foods.
If you really want to feed ducks, give them fruits, vegetables, small bugs, or actual duck food from the store.
Or you can feed them peas if they're on land.
I thought it was because since if you feed wild animals, they associate people with getting fed and they can end up hurting you if you don't.
In sweden where i live there are signs in the park "Don't feed the birds with bread, it doesn't have enough calories in it. Please only feed them seeds or nuts"
As far as the snowplow story, in the US mailboxes are technically considered government property and depending on the state/city, the area x feet from the road are the city's/state's property. So technically the snow plow wasn't trespassing on his property, but it's still dang satisfying that he got that revenge.
Depending neighborhood if its a stand alone mail box its home owner responsibility if its a comunity mail box its the USPS or local government property
But then the snow plow technically destroyed federal property and there's a huge fine with that.
This is untrue. A mailbox is the property of the property owner, be that a private individual, management company, business, or government entity. There are codes and laws in place to ensure that postal workers are allowed safe access to them but the postal service has no ownership over them in any way, shape, or form. The curb zone that exists between the street and sidewalk in some areas is also not city/state property but is by law an area that they have access to for purposes of underground utility placement and sidewalk maintenance. Access/stewardship is NOT the same as something being owned by the government in question.
@@robertbennett2796 in the US, ALL mailboxes are owned by USPS. Evenif they're attaches to your house. They're all federal property. Technically to get revenge all he had to do was contact his local post master. Federal beats State every time.
@@valashar5313 mail boxes are considered federal property. While the home owner/property manager might instal, maintain, and use the mail box, it is still technically owned by the federal government. (in Aus, so no USPS, But:) tamer story, we had an issue with teens stealing our mailbox (wood on a pole) when i grew up, we usually found it a day or 2 later. one day teen me found it in the nearby park, and i carried it home, pulling a muscle in the process. "right" goes dad "that''s enough of that" he reattaches it to an identical looking, but longer pole, digs a hole a meter (bout 3 feet) deep, fills hole with concrete and sinks pole all the way to the bottom. no noticeable difference to look at, but it never got stolen again. adult me drove past there (20 years later) its still there.

@@leeshajoi Such a simple act leading to such profound consequences.
In the UK we don't really have mailboxes we have a small slot on the door called a 'letter box'. So we don't get people vandalising them as they'd effectively be vandalising someone's front door, BUT you do get people sending nasty things through people's letter boxes sometimes.
The "we're like a family" companies come in two types. One, the one that I see most on the internet, is the companies who overwork and underpay. The other, which is far more common where I live, is where the company is genuinely so small and so close-knit that everyone knows everyone and it's full blown a chosen family. Anyone would be lucky to work for the second kind.

Story is bull. Sequioa's can't live in the bakersfield area weather. This story was debunked about 4 years ago when they tracked the guys location down.
The snowplow story sounds like a side plot from a kids movie. Like most of the movie focuses on the kid, and occasionally his dad complains about the guy wrecking his mailbox, then right near the end of the movie we see that dad get back at the guy.
29:30
man this reminds of my mom being in an ongoing case with the neighbor in our old house because the neighbors complained about the tree in our house was shedding a lot of leaves that the neighbors were so annoyed about cleaning it up (since the tree was big and reached their area) so the neighbors wanted the tree removed, but the tree was a Narra tree i think so you shouldn't just cut it off like its nothing, and there were also a few other trees that the neighbors wanted to be cut.
(oh also i should note this started back in 2019) Mom and dad had to get approvals from the management and get chainsaw men and people and transportation of the equipment just to cut off the tree so it took a while especially since the pandemic hit so conducting business were difficult but then the neighbors took this as a sign that my parents 'didn't take them seriously' or that my parents were ignoring the neighbors especially since the years have been passing, this is when the neighbors decided to sue my parents.
And then my dad passed away on March 22, 2022, so my mom had to continue with the case despite this. (Me and my brothers were all unaware of all of this until like 2 weeks ago when i accompanied my mom to an attorney or judge?? to notarize papers for the case) And then like this when my mom revealed to me that the Narra tree was a tree that dad took care of since 2004, the park across the house had Narra trees so the birds probably transported the seeds to our house and then my dad just took care of it.
So the tree is like 19 years old, and i somewhat grew up with that tree as well, so it really sucks to have something for so long and then it's just gone like that. I really love trees too.
This is exactly the kind of wholesome the world needs more of.

@@kstormgeistgem461 You have to believe that a guy who's used to living on those streets at that point would already know what fights he should and shouldn't pick, and would probably not risk getting badly injured just to defend the car of somebody who gave him a few dollars every once in a while.. Just because he's homeless doesn't mean he's stupid (usually quite the opposite, actually).
And the racketeering angle seems unlikely since (a) from the sound of it, they'd been doing this arrangement multiple times before without incident before anything actually happened to any cars and (b) if it was something that he was actively soliciting of everyone, then one would expect some of the other cars would be protected as well, and OPs wouldn't have been the only one out of all of them that came out unscathed.

7:15 So in Germany we have laws for that. If you are a person of public interest you can't do anything about photos taken in the public from you (if your face is already public it wouldn't be allowed if for example a famous author or musician that noone knows how they look like than you are not allowed to do it, but if it is reasonable to think that the public knows how the musician looks like it is allowed). But as soon a someone has to enter a private property where the public has no access to make a photo it isn't allowed (a restaurant may be on a private owned property but the public is allowed to enter it).

Got a story for ya Click. Way back in the 1990s, our mailbox kept getting hit by this brat teen who lived with his grandparents down the road from our place. I can't remember how many times we replaced it before I got fed up. Told my hubby as we were picking out this plastic Rubbermaid mailbox we were dropping a lot of money on in hopes it would last and that what we needed was some huge rocks on each side of our mailbox to discourage this kid.
Just so happened that hubby's grandparents out in the country had some huge rocks that were part of a foundation that was torn up years ago. We drove out and explained the situation & granddad was all for it. He fired up his huge tractor that had a front loader on it & started loading these huge rocks into the back of our pickup. The truck was a little light on the front end from the weight of the rocks, we all laughed & away we went back home.
We used our tractor to move these huge rocks. Imagine 3X4 foot rock (3 ft high & 4 ft long). Now our mailbox sat below the road level the curve was on a bit of a hill so these rocks were about a foot above the road rest hidden underneath.
Well, that night the kid comes around the corner & like usual he gets off the road to aim at our mailbox only this time there is this huge thump sound, a crashing sound, & metal grinding. We get up, get some shoes on, and grab a flashlight. The kid is gone, already at home & I hear yelling at his grandparents' place about what happened to his truck. And there sitting on top of one of the rocks is the driver's side turn light, & headlight in pieces.
Never had another issue with this kid hitting our mailbox. Still got that plastic Rubbermaid mailbox we bought back in the 1990s lol.
