  • Upgrading from lead acid to lithium (LiFePO4) batteries in golf carts brings numerous benefits. Lithium batteries are lighter, longer-lasting, and require less maintenance. They charge faster, offer improved performance, and are more environmentally friendly.

    Stumbled on this video but I'm stoked on these batteries. Ive got 12 GC2's in a houseboat on a 12volt system and I've been wanting to convert to a 48 volt system these are perfect.

    Nice video.
    During the tear down I noticed the BMS said 16s100A. I'm a little confused seeing the are 24? cells and says 60A max cont discharge on the website. Anyway, a max discharge test would be interesting to do, to see how many amp you could pull. Everyone that tests cart batteries does great job at a range test but no one, it seems, does a hill climb or max discharge test. Which I believe is just as important as range if you will be operating in a hilly area.
    Thanks

      There are 32 cells in a 16S2P configuration. The cell is stamped 48Wh. That means 15Ah so with a 2P that's 30Ah. I will be testing them in a cart, I will post my results

    That Balance section on the app is awesome. Do all their bluetooth batteries have that function?

      This app is separate from their other Bluetooth batteries. I had to download a new app. I like these batteries. I can't wait to play with them more. 😀

    I’m not sure about my mom’s golf cart, but I know it has six batteries in it. How many of these would I need?

    • @Roll2Videos
      @Roll2Videos  Před 2 měsíci +1

      @@tomfanniff Without seeing the cart I'd guess they are 8V batteries connected in series to make 48V. One of these batteries by itself can run your cart. The thing you need to figure out is how many Amp hours you need and connect the batteries in parallel. Two of these 30Ah are roughly equivalent to what you have now.

      @@Roll2Videos thank you for the info . The cart is presently in Florida. I do know it is an older club car with six car size batteries Which constantly drained of fluid And I have to refill with distilled water and charge with car charger before they will take a charge(she’s only there in the winter) Does this charger also work as a trickle charger to be able to go long term use Thank you

    I have a 36v cart and need to replace batteries. Something like the 6v Trojan T-605 is rated at 210aH. These are only rated at 30aH. So what does that mean by comparison in terms of speed, power and run time of the cart?

    • @Roll2Videos
      @Roll2Videos  Před měsícem

      These are for 48V carts. You can check the link to their website for further information.
