Part 2 of my newest Genshin Impact Theory: The Gnostic Chorus is a lie || Dainsleif, Dragonspine and The False Sky is now live!
I am extremely excited to finally share this video with you all. I've been working on this one since 1.1, but feeling I didn't have enough evidence at that time I kept it under wraps until now.

I’m not sure I’m fully ready to claim that the Abyss nor the Tsaritsa are “good” in any state of the word... but I do believe both armies are forming separately but for a similar objectives.

@@simonlherault6012 i read the manga and yeah that’s true and that’s mostly dottore’s doings i think. but ngl I still do find them very interesting despite them using fucked up methods to reach their goals. That’s why I’m curious to know the full story about them and what really are their goals.
It's hard to believe the extremely no-matter-how-you-see-it evil Fatui might be the good guys, but hey, they're based on commedia dell'arte so they're all probably just a bunch of literal people wearing masks and doing their roles like in a play. One of my main "huh" is that Scaramouche clearly expressed his desire to kill MC, but when he got the opportunity for it in Musk Reef, he didn't, why? I feel like their hate for MC is because they defended Venti, and we all know Tsar hates Venti for whatever happened 500 years ago. It's possible they might actually present the idea that we will be working with the Fatui in the end in a fight against Celestia. Plus, Signora looked awfully civil with Zhongli and even though she taunted MC, she didn't kill him, even back in Mondstadt. But yeah their atrocities makes it hard to believe them to be the good guys.

I can’t muster up much sympathy for the creatures that attempt to murder me on-sight. If they were human once, they aren’t anymore.
I’m also not convinced that this connection is accurate. Hilichurls were supposedly around since before Khaenri’ah fell, they’ve just become more invasive recently (likely due to the influence of the Abyss Order).
So does that mean we're killing children whenever we kill small slimes?

If Dansleif is indeed the second Outlander, it would make sense why he would agree to be commissioned by us.
By stating we're a traveler, he recalled someone familiar whom he also traveled with. By asking for 500 mora and 3 questions probably symbolizes the 500 year gap and our main protagonists perspective on the world of Teyvat.
Let us not forget that if he was the 2nd outlander who also brought knowledge of technology to Teyvat, then traveled with lumine it would explain her ability to control the ruin guardians.
But as revealed in childe's story, I thought the ruin guards were made by one of the Fatui Harbringers?

I am so glad someone finally pointed out the Cryo Archon's motivations. If you had read the official manga, there was panel where Venessa and Venti were talking about Celestia. It was clear that Venti doesn't like some of the current Archons. Celestia's present environment does't seem harmonious. If the theory of the first heir being brainwashed by Celestia's Overseers is true then this could be the reason why the Archons are being paranoid. Imagine waking up from a long trance and knowing that you killed your kin, massacred your people and destroyed your civilization. Hatred isn't even enough to put those feelings into words.
Going with this, maybe this is the main motivation of the Cryo Archon. Creating super soldiers to bolster the ranks. Researching Delusions to bestow godlike powers to choosen Champions. And finally, collecting all the Gnosis to combine its powers. All for the sake of stopping the abomination they have created.
Celestia is for sure up to something. It’s a theory I very much intend to explore in the future.

I believe that too, but the problem is why Celestia isn't taking any action in regards of what's happening in Teyvat. I mean two Gnoses were given to the Cryo Archon, surely they would know about this.
Maybe celestia wants to preserve humanity in their own weird way? The archons give up their own lives and ambitions and in return are given power to guide and protect humanity.
@@yuchen2478 The Gnosis are both a weakness and a strength Venti became weak because he wasn't ruling over people and Andrius chose not to become an archon because he didn't think he'd be a suitable ruler for humans.

Also, why did the Celestia/the first heir dropped the Frost nail on Dragonspine? Could would be that she wanted the outlander Knight/Deinslef to go away in order to bring doom upon the advanced and shining human race of Dragonspine?

@@troodss If this means Deinslef is not the Bloodstained Knight, that means none of the bloodstained Knight theory is related to Dragonspine? Still, if we leave out the White Knight story from here, could Deinslef be the outlander of Dragonspine? Seems like Lumine learnt the control of Ruin Guards. The same robots were left stranded in Dragonspine which shows that the people in Dragonspine also could control the robots, thus bringing a good connection
I was thinking, if Deinslef could be actually from Mondstad who went to Khaenri'ah and became the heir, then returned to dragonspine... But then I got to know that the expedition that included White Knight or the Bloodstained Knight was held after the Downfall of Khaenri'ah, so the timeline does not match up 😕
@@muntashirulhaque5937 The story of White Knight is pretty simple, He was a member of the Knights of Favonius that served under Grandmaster Arundolyn 500 years ago, White knight was Mentored by Rostam also known as Wolf Pup (We know this information from 2 sources, already mentioned blacksword, that tellse the story of bloodstained knight and Defender's Will artifact set, that tells the Story of Rostam and gives us some more info about White Knight and Rostam's love the Crimson witch of flames), Rostam taught him chivalry, justice and swordsmanship and as a result became a powerful knight who loves justice, Favonius Greatsword
, Ferrous Shadow and new weapon Elegy for the End
all tell us and describe us that after after the Downfall of Khaenri'ah, and during the time of Mondstad's expedition to Khaenri'ah, Rostam Sacrificed himself to save his friend Grandmaster Arundolyn and Someone named Roland, whose name was never mentioned before, it is only mentioned in Elegy for the End
, so there is a possibility that this is the real name of Bloodstained knight. After Rostams death, Arundolyn stopped being knight of Favonius completely, and this left Mondstadt without protector. Anyways there is a chance that Death of Rostam and the fact that Mondstadt had no protector anymore Influenced White Knight and his seek for Justice, became more of a seek for Revenge and thats how he became the Bloodstained knight, until he realized that he has been murdering cursed people obviously

In Gnosticism, it's said that the material world we live in is ruled by Yaldabaoth who perceives himself as the true god. While some texts depict him as evil, it's more commonly taught that he is simply ignorant of his true nature and origins. Yaldabaoth created 7 archons to help govern humanity and keep them suppressed and ignorant of their divinity. People who become aware of this divine spark within them are called Gnostics and can reach divinity through rejection of the archons and Yaldabaoth. It's also believed that one of these archons betrayed him to instead help humanity.
It's a hell of a lot more convoluted than that and I could certainly go a lot more in depth but considering the stories strong ties to Gnosticism I think it's valid to believe that the Sustainer of heavenly principles is Genshin's version of Yaldabaoth, who is simply ignorant of her true nature and origins. That people with visions are people who have become aware of their divinity and therefore can reach divinity as well. That the Tsaritsa is the archon who will eventually come to betray the Sustainer. being an archon of love, it makes sense she could have come to love humanity and want to help them.
I dunno that's just my take on things, but the parallels are there and next to all the information you have gone over it al lines up pretty well in my mind. Either way I'm really excited to see where the story leads!!! Thank you for the amazing video!!

I really honestly hope that the 2 main siblings are actually outside of the story and are more spectators than actual players (Aether literally easiest translated to essence and Lumine to light) the 2 of them being the only actual gods and at the end they just leave the world and pass on imo it was a really cool moment when Zhongli told the traveler to rember them cuz they will go on and are the only way he can make a memory of Teyvat live on forever.
But it states in one of the trailers that the cryo archon "is a god with no love left for her people, nor do they have any left for her."
AND the cube magic we see the sustainer use is the same as that of the hypostases, which in gnosticism, the hypostasis was the underlying reality manipulated by the Archons, reinforcing this idea!

Except the entire thing falls apart because the outlander is Imunlaukr, and he existed thousands of years before the bloodstained knight, who was a student of the Knight's grandmasters friend

@@deathonion404 I agree that the theory does have holes, mainly because I don't think that Lumine is Dains travel partner, but Dainsleif could've been both Imunlaukr and the Bloodstained Knight/White Knight. In fact I kinda think he was.
We know that Imunlaukr is the outlander from the Starsilver greatsword, and it also says "He descended the mountain to search for a land full of war and strife - a place he might paint red with blood." That lends to the idea of him becoming bloodstained, but there is another reason. The Sacrificial Greatsword (a theme of greatswords?) mentions the Imunlaukr clan saying "they would enact duels between brave warriors stained black with blood."
This is what we are told about Imunlaukr once he kills the Black Dragon.
"The hero ended his fruitless journey at last.
Tainted black blood dripped from the blade of his greatsword".
And you know who looks like they have a black "blood" stain? Dainsleif, on his entire right arm, which is presumably his sword arm.
The Sacrificial greatsword later goes on to say
"Such hot blood running through the veins should not have been conducive to a long history for the Imunlaukr clan.
For their fight was one without end, and without hope of victory.
And yet, as the snow slowly melted and Mondstadt began to take shape, gradually they realized: They had found something to fight for at last."
This indicates a connection between Imunlaukr and Mondstadt, giving possibility to Imunlaukr becoming the White Knight. It also ties into how Dains is unable to complete his own task, as his descendants(?) also share his fate.
I already mentioned how Dains thematically fits the idea of the Bloodstained Knight, but also the Sands for the set has an interesting connection to the Blizzard Strayer set. It says
"Deep in the Abyss, where celestial bodies cast no light, the Bloodstained Knight kept this timepiece, though time had lost all meaning."
The Blizzard Strayer Sands says
" “The cold that descends from the sky can freeze time itself.”
This myth was widely believed throughout the entombed mountain city.
As the hero reached the top of the wall of wind and ice, the night was descending and the snowstorm was howling.
Neither sun- nor moon-light could pierce this white wind easily.
Even the bleakest storm cannot freeze the river of time,
that (which) will not wilt, even if buried deep below the snow."
The experiences of the Bloodstained Knight had brought him to the point where time lost all meaning, with Imunlaukr having a past where he believed he had more than enough time, only to tragically realize it had run out far sooner than he expected. (Not sure how this relates to the theory but notice the mention of light from the sun and moon/celestial bodies in one and the mention of their absence in the other, drawing parallels between the Entombed City and the Abyss. And even if it's present in once scenario, the light can't easily reach either place.)
The feather for the Blizzard Strayer set says "The hero, bearing such great burdens on his back, halted in the whipping snow, struggling to discern the color of that feather. Sealed in ice, the feather's color faded every step of the way - just like the hero's task." Lending more heavily to the idea that Dains cannot complete his task. This would explain his behavior in the present and how he is seeking somebody who can "prove" their strength to him. He believes himself to be "the hero" and thinks that if he cannot save his companion then nobody can. It seems that unlike his companion, he's not one to rely on help from others, evidenced by his latest story quest and how he acknowledges his companions belief that people often achieve things by working together.
TLDR; I think there's some strong merit to his theory.

I doubt Paimon is evil though. They would have to jump through some hoops just to explain why Paimon is still popping in when you press the start menu after you defeat her at the end of the game.

Ok first of, just wanted to mention that Blood stained knight is not outlander Imunlaukr, for one basic reason: Clan of Imunlaukr that was inspired by Imunlaukr was present during the fall of Decabarian tower which happened during the archon wars, not to mention that freezing of the World happened before Archon Wars as we can learn from Prayers for Illumination, Prayers for Destiny, Prayers for Wisdom
and Prayers to Springtime artifacts, Blood Stained Knight or White Knight as he was known before was mentored by Rostam, Knight of Favonius who lived 500 years ago during the cataclysm that happened in Khaenri'ah, meaning that if outlander Imunlaukr was the Blood Stained Knight, he would already be few hundred years old during the time he received his combat training
here is a quote from Defenders Will artifact, which tells the story of Rostam:
"By this credo he also mentored a white knight who loved justice above all else."
Althought their stories might look similar at first, further investigation proves that they cant be one and the same person

Another thing, Princess Herself told The Outlander to not return, its written in Blizzard Strayer Artifact set:

Not to mention that, at least on my first impression, the theory proposed here seems to more or less require Khaneriah to both be a kingdom of teyvat and a world outside of teyvat, which is a bit of a large hole to plug.

i swear if Raiden (Baal) Looks like "Raiden" Mei (from Honkai) and Tsaritsa looks like Bronya Zaychik (Honkai too) I'm going to scream.
Bronya is influnced by Russia(Snezhnaya), she's a child war veteran (currently 14 years old, have been fighting and assasinating since 8 years old), used to be loving but now have hardened will and lost her own emotion (a reference to Tsaritsa herself). And Raiden Mei is heavily influnced by Japan (Inazuma), and A Herrscherr of Thunder (Lightning). i SWEAR MIHOYO DO NOT DO THIS TO ME ASDFGHJKL
I haven't played Honkai Impact 3 buy i hope that if they follow Bronya's design for Tsaritsa they use the Herrscher of Reason outfit, that one's so pretty.
And Mei's design is cool too! Hope Baal looks similar to her

I love how the story goes really REALLY that deep and dark. What we may know today regarding the lore of the game may not be as it is towards the end of the year. All I can say is that Scaramouche had seen the glitch in the matrix and no one may believe him!
I really enjoyed this theory. I have 1 thing that doesnt add up in this theory. In the genshin trailer from gamescom 2020 Lumine sees Aether fighting from a cliff. She looks uninterested. I mean wouldn't she jump as soon as she saw her brother which she wanted to find so hard? This is where my theory starts: I think Aether was sealed for hundreds if not thousands of years or Lumine was sent into Teyvat's past. So he wakes up and starts to look for Lumine experiencing Teyvat through our the players eyes. Maybe Lumine did all she could to find him but was unsuccesfull because he couldn't be found, he was sealed or he will appear far in the future. Wouldn't that be the most cruel punishement form the first hier to those outlanders who defy the gods by travelling through to worlds? To actually separate them by time not a distance. So we are after the fight with the first Heir. Lumine seems to experience the desctruction of civilizations in Teyvat. I agree that Dain was the one that was helping her looking for Aether. As years went by and by she felt powerless in finding him. The desire to find him transformed into a will for revenge... revenge for the one that took her brother. Maybe she even came to a conclusion he was killed. She became the abbys queen. She began her plan of vengeance of the first hier. Somewhere along the way she lost herself in it. Even Dain saw it. That is why I think this is the only logical conclusion you can think of when someone you desired is literally in front of you ... and you decide to turn your back. You decide to continue your vengance instead of jumping with tears in your eyes and hug you brother. This Lumine is a version of Lumine after years of hardships which changed her into an emotionless husk that she is portrayed in the story. If both Lumine and Aether are the same amount of time in Teyvat after the fight with the first Hier, why only one of them still want to look for the other, when the other turns her back from an obvious reunion. Anyway :D thats my theory what you think @Teyvat Historia?
What if the first heir once she realized she was losing free will and she was about to become a puppet in the hands of the gods of celestia split a little part of her soul from herself. In hope that with time that little uncorrupted part of herself could find, rescure and free her. Maybe is someone that look like a little version of the sustainer
Interesting Paimon theory. The complication with Paimon is that most people that she interacts with act as if paimon-like creatures are perfectly ordinary and fully known about in Teyvat, so it is hard to say that she's more than what she appears to be until such a time as we have seen most of the world without finding anything else belonging to Paimon's species. We the players, much like the Traveler protagonist, are completely in the dark as to what is and isn't "normal" in Teyvat. A lot of people instantly recognize the Traveler as being in some way foreign, even tho the MC looks like just any regular human, almost as if the MC has some sort of alien aura, and yet that rarely happens with Paimon. Bolai or whatever the name of the Liyue shady merchant is, and Albedo, are the only exceptions that I can recall, where people didn't act as if she was just a perfectly ordinary Teyvat creature.
That being said, your theory is actually a little better than most people convinced that the Sustainer and Paimon are one and the same. Not because of lore, but for real-world reasons, as it would be very strange to have the (apparent) main antagonist of the game also be its marketing mascot on twitter. :P
@@vforventura I think Paimon is deffo the God of time, since when she was "drowning", the only direction she could come from is either the ocean, or from that island (most likely)
@@cyclic7772 Its a nice idea. I guess you're thinking of the 'secret' island off Mondstandt that you can see from the beach that you start the game at? The problem would be that fishing Paimon happened 2 months before the traveler tells the story at the beginning of the game, so it seems unlikely that they're still in the same place where Paimon was hooked.
She could still be the god of time (or just about anything, we know nothing whatsoever about paimon with any degree of certainty), but I don't think the island is relevant.

i've been binge watching your theory videos and to say i'm blown away is an understatement. So much thought and work went into each video. Honestly watching them mad eme want to pay attention to smaller details myself.
There are a lot of things that are time related that dont make sense at the moment.
Like the outlanders at the beginning of the game say that the are traveling from world to world but they also say "when the time was to move on to the next" it might mean that they stayed for quite a while in this world or that there is some kind of prereq to move on to the next , this makes me think that they should know a lot about the world like visions and gods and if they don't (which might be the case ) it might mean that they came before any of that existed so they could be older than Zhongli OR ingame its mentioned that Teyvat is a continent not the planet so it could mean that they never got to it in their time on the planet .When the present story starts the travelers have been launched in to the future 300 years apart from each other at least that is the current theory.

I really have a feeling that the surprise banner that will be coming soon in 1.6 or 1.8 is Dainsleif. Yes the game doesn't need to get to Khaenri'ah in order to release Dainsleif. Kaeyq is from Khaenri'ah and his real background story is still hidden from us. They could do the same for Dainsleif.

@@jessicam9491 I don’t think he does. Whole Zhongli and Venti do both have visions on their person, they don’t require them for their elemental abilities.
@@TeyvatHistoria Maybe because Zhongli and Venti are gods of their own elements and Dain is an outlander like us, the travelers? I'm assuming he wields one since I also believe he'll be available for us to play in the future, I just wonder.. how he got it.. and what element. Maybe like Kaeya or like us - who can change elements from one to another though that is greatly a stretch lol. Anyways, I'm a big fan of your theories! Been binge-watching them. I want to know why Dainsleif has primogem eyes and Sustainer doesn't. if she is his kin shouldn't they have that similarity? Or is the eye a brand cast upon him?
Those eyes are a characteristic of the people from Khaenriah. Tho, with god-like powers there's nothing stopping, say, the sustainer (or whoever is controlling her) from completely changing her appearance. Even Zhongli and Venti can change their form at will, so that's not much of a stretch, tho I doubt she's related to Dain (or from khaenriah) either way.

@@missasyan Well, the theory in the video we're commenting on proposes that they're related in some way (not necessarily family but at least that they come from the same place, I guess - whatever 'kingdom in the heavens' that Venti in the gnostic chorus cinematic talks about). Personally I don't believe that to be the case. The characters from Khaenriah have a very distinctive eye design (Kaeya, Dain) that is unique to the khaenriah people. So, unless the Sustainer's appeareance was changed after she became the Sustainer, she would have a different place of origin than Dainsleif.
Like I said, its not impossible - there are a lot of characters who dramatically changed their appeareance and even their apparent species already present in the existing quests - but we have no indication either way regarding the Sustainers origins at this point. Heck, even her name (Asmoday according to the data miners that dug thru the game files) may end up not being what she'll be actually called in game. No way to know at this point since she had so little screen time so far.
