    I wouldn't go so far as to say that Baal's Gnosis was taken away, solely from the narrative and storytelling perspective. Tsaritsa taking Gnosis' away is how both chapters ended. Personally I'm more fond of the theory that visions (eyes of the god, in original translation) are used to spy on mankind and that that's the reason why Baal is taking them away. Her goal is to protect her people, just as Havria once tried..

      TeyvatHistoria's hypothesis of the Archon's contract with Celestia is that they would attain Godhood and the ability to protect their people, in exchange of being biological superweapons of Celestia when the time is needed, seems to be the most probable. • @zelliarie
    @zelliarie Před 3 lety +169

    Personally, I think the “plot twist” in this game would be that Celestia turns out to be evil and the Tsarista is the “good guy” all along. Since we arrived in Mondstadt, the way we were introduced to visions made Celestia seem like a “heaven” almost. Because of this, the Tsarista seems like the “bad person” at first because she’s stealing every God’s gnosis. In the story trailer, it is said that she is “rebelling against the divine”. I think that’s the reason why Sneznhaya is right before Khaneri’ah (in the order of the regions we travel to). Of course, this is just a theory, so this is just what I think.
    I’m still not sure what position this puts our sibling and the Unknown God, but I think the Unknown God is somehow related to Khaneri’ah. For starters, the Unknown God (in the opening cutscene) mentions the “arrogation of mankind”. I’m guessing that because Khaneri’ah was built from humans and didn’t have a god, Celestia didn’t like that and forced the archons to destroy it.

Dainsleif stated along the line: "the god of wisdom's enemy is wisdom itself...... ", and *there's a push of folly in Sumeru but the Dendro Archon doesnt care about it* or something like that. I'm just here excited when kaeya finally is centered in the main plot since he is the long lost prince of kaenriah. Imagine if kaeya was given a vision by the tsarita because she knows that kaeya will fullfill something important.
    That night...kaeya fought diluc and recieved his vision..Tsarita saw something in him, hence she granted the cryo vision as kaeya will be the eyes of Tsarita. This is considering that his constillation is pavo ocellus a peacock and in greek mythology it is known as a peacock with multiple eyes. He will fullfill the prophecy.
    Also, it was hinted by mona that kaeya is destined for greatness and grandeur meaning it is highly likely that he will triumph over celestia with the help of the cryo archon. This can also be hinted when he said a death threat to venti in his poem " mi muhe ye" it does not mean i love you. It means " i will triumph over you"
    It was a declaration of war, rebellion against the archons and celestia.
    Lastly, dainsleif is known as a great sword , powerful and undefeated weapon forged. hence, he is called the "twilight sword" he is a sword longing for his master.
    Kaeya= the prince/ master
    Dainsleif= twighlight sword
    Dainsleif will be kaeya's sword in defeating celestia. We could possibly see both of them meet up sometime.

    Ameno (Venti): Neutral, god of freedom, neither side/not interested. Cryo archon thought it was necessary to forcefully take his gnosis
    Geo (Zhong Li): Rebelling, made the contract with cryo archon to “end all contracts” (estimated to be his ties with celestia)
    Electro (Baal): Likely loyal, god of eternity, sees it necessary to preserve status quo (rule of celestia)
    Dendro: Likely rebelling, youngest archon because previous dendro archon was killed during the cataclysm. He makes “no argument against his people rebelling” perhaps a reflection/projection of his desires
    Hydro: MOST LOYAL, explicitly stated that “she knows better than to challenge the divine.” During oceanid event, it was mentioned that oceanids are being coerced into working as spies against other nations, foreshadowing conflict against Cryo archon
    Pyro: Likely loyal (chaotic good/evil vibe?), the strongest shall rule type mentality. If she believes celestia is the strongest force, will submit to celestia. If we defeat her, she may join out cause
    Cryo: MOST REBELLING, “rebellion against the divine comes at last,” gathering gnosis for the purpose of overthrowing celestia.

    Your theory about the gnoses is very convincing, and I believe in it because I also made a theory about it and Baal _(which I will also discuss here)_ a month ago and it relates so much to yours.
    I believe the Tsaritsa is starting to collect the gnoses is because these chess piece-like stuffs enable archons to give out visions.
    Here, we were told that obtaining visions is equal to granting someone to ascend to godhood. Being a god also means being a candidate to the seven seats in Celestia, and thus having more vision holders means more participants in this struggle to power, and therefore more pawns reserved to the benefit of Celestia.
    If so, then this is why the Tsaritsa approved the making of delusions-because these artificial visions are not connected from the gnoses. Therefore, its users will not be subjects to Celestia, and will have no chance of getting ascended to godhood and get blinded by the glory they present to the gods which are the seven thrones, yet will be able to defend themselves against the wrath of the divine with its powers almost equal to that of visions.
    Edited part _(I made two separate comments, the other one about Baal, but I feel like its worth mentioning her here too so I deleted the other one and included it here instead):_
    This makes so much sense! If so, then this would explain why Baal is confiscating visions and handing them to the Thousand-Armed, Hundred-Eyed god.
    As we were told in the story, Baal declared the Vision Hunt decree because _"she has recently come to see visions as divine blessings, and that they should be under the sole dominion of divinity"._ At least, that's what Zhongli understood, and possibly could also be Celestia's interpretation of her action.
    But what if the electro archon is also starting to "play her role"? For all we know, Baal may have started this Vision Hunt Decree for the same reason the Tsaritsa is collecting the gnoses- *rebellion against Celestia.*
    We know that being a vision holder means having a chance to ascend to godhood, and Celestia will then offer them with the seats of the seven. If this is the case, then the cycle of Teyvat being manipulated by the divine will be endless.
    At this point, Baal could be just making an excuse that because she's the god of eternity, she's ensuring that there will be no threat to her reign and will eternally rule over Inazuma.
    But the fact might be that she's already on the move of rebelling against Celestia and the act of handing visions to the Thousand-Armed, Hundred-Eyed god could be as fake as Zhongli and Venti's visions' function.
    Baal just doesn't want to get into the nerves of those from Celestia so she made her intentions sound like it's no threat to them, but the truth behind her Vision Hunt decree could be because she's doing what the Tsaritsa does- *_confiscating visions to prevent more mortals in becoming Celestia's pawns._*
    With this, I fully support your theory!

    • @Kneirros
      @Kneirros Před 3 lety +4

      @@muhammadmarouf4625 exactly! And being the best actors they could be, I'm also starting to think that the archons may have agreed to make up all these drama even before they met the Traveller.
      1. Venti not wanting to be worshipped by his people in Mondstadt, making him the *"weakest among the seven"* and thus *giving him a reason how the gnosis is stolen from him and was not able to take it back.*
      2. *Zhongli faking his death* so the *Liyue Qixing and the adepti would unite to protect Liyue* and see that the two parties successfully passed his test, which was defeating a god that Rex Lapis himself used to fight during the Archon War. Not to mention that *he gave his gnosis to the cryo archon, which I assume would delay Celestia from immediately appointing a new geo archon since the Zhongli's gnosis is crucial in declaring someone to the position.*
      And;
      3. Now that the oldest among the seven archons is "dead", *this will give Baal a reason to act as if she feels threatened as the god of eternity, and thus validates her otherwise nonsense Vision Hunt decree in the eyes of those from Celestia, which could be her way of reducing their pawns as what I've mentioned.*

      judging by the pacing, we'll probably be getting fontaine and natlan next year and snezhnaya + the khaenri'ah chapter after. that would mean we only have about 2 and a half years left of the "teyvat chapter".
      however, there is some speculation that mihoyo will continue story after teyvat. if they were to extend the content for 5-10 years i reckon that would be the case. it's more plausible than them somehow managing to stretch out 6 more regions across a decade.

    I don't think that Hillichurls are also from Khaenri'ah. We have records going as far back as 1000 years that Hillichurls have existed and they are seperate from the Abyss Order as a whole. The Abyss Mages simply conscript them into the order as they can communicate.
    Also I really have my doubts that a single Harbinger would've been able to take the Gnosis of Baal. We have to remind ourselves that Venti was an exception. He's the weakest of the Archons and also taken by surprise. With Zhongli we saw that Signora wanted to take his Gnosis without a direct confrontation due to him being too powerful to overcome most likely. Now, Zhongli is also an exception as he's one of the most powerful beings in Genshin impact (even before getting his Gnosis). Well done as always. Here's hoping for another surprise story update a la 1.3.
    EDIT: Oh. OH. Snezhnaya is the most technologically advanced nation. Who knows how much tech they might have amassed/developed while they bide their time?

      Yeah, Snezhnaya's pretty advanced. How technologically advanced do you think they might be at? I'm getting 1980 Snezhnaya vibes but technology's more advanced in some places, example being Katheryne who is a humanoid automaton with an AI. I imagine Khaenri'ah is sci-fi.

    Wow! I had to listen to this twice. This makes sense to me, so I hope it is all true. This makes the game and lore so much deeper and interesting than it looks. I've been meaning to read all the in-game books and game options text, but it's sooo much content. I'm glad I found your channel where you tend to sum the information up and present logical theories.

    The fact that Kaeya's original CN Story refers to him as "a well placed 'pawn/chesspiece'" from Khaenri'ah ...hHHHH

    I think the theory that the King is the Gnosis that grants the wielder power over the will of the Archons is a really interesting one given the massive plume of story progression and thread-rich revelations that is the 1.4 Archon questline. After all, it probably has some basis in the concept of the 'loom of fate' as well, given the Abyss Order's intentions of creating a god of their own and the discovery of the defiled statue. It's also quite a unique and tempting bargain: The power of the gods for the perhaps secretive possibility of being used as puppets of Celestia.
    However, I feel like the view of the world as a chess game might be too black-and-white for what we definitely know. And my opinion hinges upon Dainsleif, as a character who knows a little more than he should for his position if we assume that the Abyss Order and Tsaritsa are fully aligned. We know that he has no love for the gods; he won't even set foot in a church. And we most definitely know he's an enemy of the Abyss, a fact that he, the Abyss Herald, and the sibling are all very clear to affirm. And yet, he seems quite knowledgeable of a couple points that only we, the Archons, and the Fatui should have any knowledge of: Venti's identity as Barsibato, and Zhongli's Contract to End All Contracts. But notice more specifically who is involved in both (emphasis: both) incidences, who we can be sure aren't directly aligned with Celestia or the Abyss: Ourselves, who have said nothing of those events to anyone other than those who were there, and the Fatui, who are loyal to the Tsaritsa first and foremost. So my theory is as follows:
    Dain knows the Tsaritsa. And not only does Dain know the Tsaritsa, but the Tsaritsa and Dain are aligned in a third front between the Abyss, who want vengeance against Celestia at all cost which Dain probably betrayed because he couldn't stomach it, and Celestia, who destroyed Dain's beloved Khaenri'ah. Dain would absolutely be aligned with the Abyss if he didn't care how they went about their war, and probably was, but he betrayed them because he realized that the bloody path of revenge for Khaenri'ah had twisted them into true monsters. Not just beings made into the form of hilichurls and Abyss mages and heralds, but such beings filled with a blind hatred and moral indifference for those caught in the crossfire of their war with Celestia that is truly monstrous.
    But in the end, Love is the ideal of the Tsaritsa. Even if she hardens her heart for the endeavor to seize the Gnoses and wage whatever war is necessary to her own ends, she probably understands that the Abyss which regularly attacks people for vengeful and scheming purposes is no better than Celestia that coerced her to destroy Khaenri'ah, what was itself a warlike and conquering civilization that likely created its own share of suffering in its time. And unlike the Abyss, she does not have her army of the Fatui act out of wanton aggression. If anything, we the player and the populations of the regions are made to be suspicious of the Fatui more because they're (mostly) so civil with common people, despite everyone knowing that they have ulterior motives. Being distrusted is probably part of their task, because too much familiarity with locals presents dangers to their effectiveness as arbiters and trustees of the Tsaritsa's secretive plans.
    Thus, Dain and the Tsaritsa are a near-perfect match. Both have their motives to despise Celestia and oppose the Abyss simultaneously. And this is why Dain knows about what has been going on around us, and that we were a part of it: Because the Fatui who know report to the Tsaritsa, and Dain is close to the Tsaritsa as well, so close that he would be entrusted with that knowledge. Hell, depending on more specific information on the chronology of things, he might even be the one who convinced the Tsaritsa to open her front in the conflict knowing that out of love she would stand for the dignity of Teyvat against both the Abyss and Celestia.
    But, that's just my take. It sets a lot of weight on a few points, but points that I think are quite valid at the moment and unlikely to be invalidated by future exposition.

    Great vid! I think the Fatui are going to end up being the good guys as a plot twist at the end of the game, and we fight alongside them to overthrow celestia while stopping the abyss from doing the same since they aren’t fit to be rulers of celestia. As for Baal, I feel like she’s taking all the visions away because she just doesn’t trust her people with them because of what celestia is responsible of, making the archons destroy Khanreia. After seeing this, she may think visions are just a way for celestia to basically take control of the wielder and use them as a weapon whenever they want.

      Fatui are committing crimes like murder, fraud, blackmail, human-experiments, diplomatic deception(r releasing a threat to Mondstadt in secret and showing up to stop it to gain diplomatic relations) and Genocidal acts of war. But as long as the ends justified the means, then it's okay to commit this crimes.

      @@robotman3806 If your talking about people like Il Dottoire doing experiments, that’s probably his own choice to do that. Other fatui harbingers have different methods. It’s said that most of the harbinger don’t like Scaramouche. People like Childe aren’t nearly as bad as some of their other fellow harbingers. The tsaritsa’s end goal seems to be to overthrow celestia by any means necessary. After that they did, the Fatui almost had to be harsh.

      @@faintgrub1017 Still doesn't make them the good guys. Just like you said, overthrow celestia by any means necessary even at the cost of a million lives, as long as the end goal is reached, the tsaritsa won't give a single f*ck.

    The fact that the Tsaritsa is the one planning a rebellion against the divine and the one who bestows Delusions is itself a hint.
    If Visions are in fact Celestia’s “monitoring” tools (e.g. Eye of God), she wouldn’t be able to plan a rebellion involving vision holders as Celestia would be aware of her moves.
    It’s hard to say since the only harbringers introduced to us in the Archon Quests so far were Childe and Signora, with Childe apparently being the only one with a Vision. It seems rather ironic that during Liyue’s Crisis she misled Childe about Rex Lapis and the Gnosis, possibly evidencing that visions are in fact Celestia’s monitoring tools.
    It’s a long shot, but Genshin’s lore makes me really excited

    Oh my archons, the king chess piece is the genesis pearl. The unrestricted gnosis (maybe a herrscher core )
    And maybe because in a war no side is good or evil the unknown goddess was just trying to save her own people by destroying khaenri'ah.

    I'm fairly sure what I take away from all the combined cryo characters is that they seem defined by tempering their passions or nature. Chongyun suppressing his passionate side, Eula who was desperate for close personal connections and people to like her being okay with being disliked or ostracized, Ganyu's actual nature is a bit more voracious and shes very conscious about her weight (after choking a giant monster to death when it tried to eat her.) I thoroughly expect the archon to embody this to the fullest and go full on Ice-Queen. perhaps even removing or hiding away her heart. (Perhaps QiQi doesn't fit, but her case seems to be an oddity where her vision was gifted to her and everything related to the whole endeavor went south, The poor girl can't rebel or walk a new path because she doesn't even know what her old path was. Plus, it's the only recorded instance of someone who was dying being granted a vision."
    /bug report to celestia. We accidentally killed a little girl. "well damn" so we brought her back to life. "Oh man, thats pretty cool of yo-" yah, so now shes an unstoppable zombie fighting machine we can't reason with and we're kinda freaking out. "..." Don't tell management. "..." We got this man, no problem. "You didn't just like.. temporarily fix the problem. It's not gonna come back and bite us in the-- literally a zombie!!? Bro." ...I'm at least 80% sure we got this handled and its not a problem now. "Now.. I don't like how you phrased that." it's fiiiiiine~!
