This H-King version of the thoroughbred Hawker Tempest warbird is manufactured in a superbly finished EPO foam and an authentic World War ll D-Day invasion stripe color scheme plus all the decals are factory applied. The Hawker Tempest comes with motor, ESC and servos pre-installed and also a built in 6 axis ORX flight stabilization system to make it even easier to fly. The H-King P-51D Mustang "Moonbeam McSwine" is based on a Mustang built in 1944 and flown by Captain William T. Whisner. Whisner joined the 487th Fighter Squadron which was part of the 352nd Fighter group based in Bodney, England. This group became affectionately known as the "Blue Nosed Bastards of Bodney". Capt. Whisner was credited with 15.5 aerial victories during World War II which made him a triple ace, an outstanding achievement. The Mustang was one of the iconic US fighters from this era: it was cheap to build, had long-range, fast, maneuverable, and would take a lot of punishment.

Yes it's a good job this lovely Hawker Tempest didn't throw her prop in the sky. Very difficult to bring even a small warbird down safe home if this happens. These 800ish WWII birds really are gorgeous. I agree about the gyro. It's there, so use it! Far better than showing off and losing your plane. The black/white invasion stripes on this one make it look very purposeful and business like. Also the airscoop is cool.. Looks like it actually works! Big salute as ever from London. 👍

I had the same thing happen on a maiden with a C-47. Unfortunately it stalled out, took a bite out of the ground, and I drove home with a pile of parts.
It really happens from time to time. I was lucky here.

Everytime I'm in the field now and dont have something I need , I put it in the kit when I get home , along with some extra screws , velco , tape , zip ties and glue ect.
I hate having to stop because of a little tiny problem and I always have 2-3 or more planes when i go out too in case something happens I can't fix but still feel like flying . Salute !!!

Fantastic video once again boys!! Captain Blaz you should listen to your older brother ey. Even though you are the Captain he is sometimes correct ey! He's not a norec ey! I find mine is ok with a 3S 1000mAh its a nice machine one of the better ones in the range from Hobby King at this size...you are so right - I cut and throw every single JST I have and replace with an xt60 or xt30 - I have taken the Landing gear and all the bits on the underside off on all of my 800mm warbirds and always hand launch and belly land they fly so much better without them...
Martyn i belly land mine too, i have programmed all of my esc's to "brake" to prevent the prop from windmilling as this can cause props to break, have never had a prop break on any of my warbirds yet, tempt fate lol.

For the moles you can try some rodent repellent, they have them sometimes in Lidl and they are solar powered, not very expensive maybe you can give them a try.
We have fun at the moment we come to the runway. And I have bought those on Conrad.

So the crash was PREVENTED then? I must need new glasses. My rule, if it cannot pull out of my hand vertically, it's under-powered. You'll still lose EVERY plane eventually.
Make a rodenator, you have the tools in your shop. You need acetylene and oxygen tank and hose. You need mostly oxygen with just enough acetylene to ignition and you need a sparking unit. Try to block the mile holes and fed your hose with the mix into the last hole along with your sparker. Put the gas into the hole, pull your hose and plug the hole [with dirt from the hole) move back and energize the sparker. The had will ignite and explode putting s shock wave through the mole run. Or use exhaust gas from the engine to replace the oxygen inside the moles hole. Doesn't have to be so complicated.
@@WCKD. The only problem with that, and we've experienced that at our field is, all the dang entrances and chambers they dig. You might gas some of them, you might gas all of them but you'll only know with more damage. The overpressure, even with leaky holes on the Rodnator, will pop them little things. But, try it the cheap way first, already have the exhaust maker and you don't have to worry about underground lines.
Or try peeing down their holes. They hate human and coyote urine. Worked for me before the neighbor complained.
@@russc3288 I can confirm that human pee does indeed work... but a still steaming jobby is infinitely better. Has to be freshly dropped though... and a few cloves sprinkled on the top increases its effectiveness even further.

I agree, these lectric' foam birds need that gyro-safe on, why risk destroying a nice model? Thats a shame, it would have been a glorious flight! Check yer hardware. I never trust anything from the factory. Bust out the tools and have a once over. Good try gents!
